Description
-Triumph RJ-15 rolling bridge jack: check 48.7 to 55 inches before anything else
A rolling bridge jack is an accessory, which means the first question is not how much it lifts. It is whether it will sit on the lift you already own. The RJ-15 (RJ-15000) adjusts to span runways set between 48.7 inches and 55 inches apart. Go and measure the inside faces of your four-post's runways. If your spacing falls inside that window, this jack fits; if it does not, no amount of capacity makes it the right part. That single check takes two minutes and it is the one the manufacturer's boilerplate never asks you to do.
Having established that, the rest is straightforward: 15,000 lbs of hydraulic capacity, a rugged steel bridge that rolls along the runways to wherever you need it, and lifting pads that pick the vehicle up by its frame or lift points so the wheels hang free.
Will It Fit?
Three measurements, all of them yours to take before ordering. We cannot see your lift.
- Runway spacing: 48.7 to 55 inches. Measured across the gap between your four-post's runways. This is the compatibility test and it is pass or fail.
- Pad spread: 42.6 to 68.7 inches. This is how far apart the lifting pads can be set, and it is what has to line up with the lift points under the vehicle you work on most. A narrow sports car and a full-size pickup sit at opposite ends of that range.
- Clearance under the vehicle: from 15.3 inches. That is the jack's collapsed height, so the vehicle has to be raised at least that far on the four-post before the jack can roll underneath it. Lowered cars and low-slung classics are the ones to think about here.
What 15,000 lbs is really for
The capacity is not there because anybody is lifting a fifteen thousand pound car. It is there because a bridge jack takes its load through two pads on a beam, not through four corners of a lift, and because heavy-duty trucks, vans and fleet vehicles concentrate a lot of weight over one axle. A jack rated well above the vehicle's total weight is a jack that is not working near its limit when you take the rear of a loaded van off the runways.
From 15.3 inches collapsed it rises to 28.3 inches at the top of the pads. The difference between those two figures is the working travel, and it is enough to get a wheel clear of the runway and give room to work, without the pad column becoming tall and slender under load.
Why lifting by the frame changes the job
A four-post lift holds the vehicle by its tyres, which is what makes it excellent for storage, oil changes and exhaust work and useless for anything involving a wheel. The bridge jack solves that in the obvious way: it rolls under the raised vehicle, picks it up by its lift points, and leaves the wheels hanging. Brakes, hubs, bearings, tyre rotation, spring and damper work, differential and gearbox access — all of it becomes possible on a lift that could not otherwise do any of it.
The rolling design matters more than it sounds too. The jack glides along the runway rather than being carried into place, so positioning it under the correct lift points is a push rather than a lift-and-shuffle. On a 661 lb assembly, that is not a small thing.
Perfect For
- Owners of an existing four-post who have run into the limits of a wheels-on lift.
- Fleet and commercial workshops doing brake and tyre work on trucks and vans.
- Home garages and collectors whose four-post is used for storage most of the year and for real work the rest of it.
- Anyone rotating tyres regularly — this is the accessory that makes that a ten-minute job.
What's in the Box
The RJ-15 rolling bridge jack assembly with its hydraulic system and lifting pads. It arrives as one crate at 661 lbs, measuring 51 x 33 x 17 inches.
Note what is not included: the four-post lift itself, and any adapter or extension not listed on this page. If you need extra pad height for a particular vehicle, ask us before ordering rather than assuming it is in the crate.

Certification, stated plainly
Our product data for this jack records no third-party safety listing, and this page will not imply one. For most private owners that never becomes a question. It becomes a question where an insurer, an employer or a local jurisdiction specifies a listing for lifting equipment used commercially. If that applies to your shop, ask us before you order and we will request the manufacturer's current documentation in writing.
Separately, and regardless of paperwork: a bridge jack is used on top of another machine, and the safe working limit of the pair is whichever of the two is lower. Check your four-post's rating and its own manual before putting this jack to work on it.
Shipping and delivery
This ships as freight to the lower 48 states. The rate is quoted live at checkout against your address rather than printed here, because carrier pricing changes. At 661 lbs it comes on a pallet and getting it off the trailer is the receiver's responsibility — a forklift, a suitable machine, or a collection from the carrier's local terminal, which is often the simplest answer for a home address. Delivery to a residential address carries a residential fee, applied at checkout when you select it.
Inspect the pallet before signing. Look at the hydraulic assembly and the pads specifically, note any damage on the bill of lading while the driver is present, and photograph it. Once you have signed clean, the carrier's record shows the shipment arrived in good order.
Warranty
Warranty terms are handled through our warranty claims page, and we will send you the manufacturer's current document on request before you buy. Whatever the terms, one rule applies to every hydraulic product: if it fails, do not take the cylinder, the pump or the valve apart before the claim is open. A dismantled component is usually read as a modified one and cover disappears with it. Photograph the fault, record the serial number, and call us first.
