Hofmann geoliner 920 Heavy-Duty Truck Aligner
The idea behind the geoliner 920 is that the alignment equipment should not live in the alignment bay. Its measuring targets mount to the floor or to the wall and stay there. Nothing is wheeled out, set up, calibrated and wheeled away again — and when there is no alignment in progress, the area is completely available for other work.
For a heavy-duty shop that is the difference between an alignment bay and an alignment capability. A bay that only does alignments has to earn its floor space from alignments alone. A bay with wall-mounted targets is just a bay, until a truck rolls in.
What that changes about the workflow
Because the targets are already mounted and already referenced, setup is reduced to the things that genuinely have to go on the vehicle: the wheel clamps and their corresponding measuring heads. That is it. There is no rolling cabinet to position, no tower to align, and nothing to knock out of calibration by reversing into it.
The practical result is speed. A single operator can measure a vehicle in under four minutes, and that time roughly halves with a second operator taking the opposite side at the same time. At that pace an alignment check stops being a job you schedule and becomes something you can do on a truck that is already in the shop — which is exactly what makes drive-thru alignment checks worth offering, either as a revenue line or as part of a fleet maintenance routine.
The clamps are aluminium, and they clamp both ways
Heavy-duty wheels are not standardised in the way passenger wheels are. The geoliner 920's wheel clamps are all-aluminium and deliberately light, which matters when an operator is lifting them onto a truck wheel repeatedly through a shift rather than once a day. They mount to a wide range of wheels and support both inside and outside clamping, so an unusual rim does not become a reason to turn the job away.
The software side is built for adjustment rather than reporting: the interface shows readings in real time while the adjustment is being made, so the technician sees the effect of a turn as they make it instead of measuring, adjusting and re-measuring.

Siting: what to sort out before it arrives
The one genuinely unusual siting requirement here is that the targets are mounted to your building — floor or wall — so their positions are part of the installation, not an afterthought. Decide which surfaces they are going on, and make sure those surfaces are sound, stable and not going to be moved, shelved over or parked against. A target that shifts is a target that has to be re-referenced.
Beyond that: the lane needs to be flat and level enough to drive a heavy vehicle straight through, with clear approach and exit, and you will need the electrical supply the system requires. Certification, honestly
Our product record for the geoliner 920 does not carry a third-party safety or performance listing, and we are not going to imply one. This is a measuring system rather than a lifting device, so the listings that apply to lifts are not the relevant question — but if your fleet policy, your insurer or a regulatory body requires alignment equipment to hold a particular independent certification or a documented calibration standard, ask us to confirm the position for this model in writing before you order. Shipping and delivery
All Hofmann machines come with free delivery, setup, and instruction, as stated in the Pick Up and Delivery section on this page. On a system whose targets are mounted to your building, that setup visit is not a courtesy — it is how the equipment is referenced correctly in the first place. Delivery is within the lower 48 states.
Your side is site readiness: mounting surfaces agreed, the lane clear, power available, and access for the delivery vehicle. Talk to us about all of it before delivery is scheduled. When the shipment arrives, check it over before signing anything, and write any damage on the delivery paperwork at the time rather than reporting it afterwards.
Warranty

If a fault appears, contact us before anyone opens a measuring head, a clamp or a target assembly. Precision measuring equipment that has been disassembled is much harder to claim on, and on a system like this it may also need re-referencing afterwards even if the original fault turns out to be trivial.
