Triumph NTR-32 Four-Post Lift, 32,000 lb Capacity

The specification that decides whether the NTR-32 is buildable in your shop is not the capacity. It is the electrical requirement: 220V single phase. A four-post rated at 32,000 lbs is the sort of machine most people assume needs a three-phase service, and three-phase is exactly what a great many light-industrial units, rural shops and converted buildings do not have. This one runs on the supply an ordinary commercial building already carries, which moves the conversation from a utility upgrade to an electrician's afternoon.

Everything else about it is scaled for the heaviest end of the trade: commercial trucks, buses, motorhomes and industrial fleet vehicles, on a lift with nine mechanical lock positions and a maximum lifting height of 70.8″ at the top of the runway.

While supplies last, this lift ships with a Chicago Pneumatic CP WallAIR 1.5-HP wall-mount air compressor, hose reel and inflation kit included — the option to add the compressor appears at checkout.

Will It Fit?

This is a large machine and the honest answer is that most buyers are constrained by the building, not the budget. Take these figures to the bay with a tape measure before you order, because every one of them is the customer's responsibility to confirm and none of them can be assessed from here.

  • Length. 305.5″ without the approach ramps, 344.6″ with them. That is over 300″ of committed floor before you allow anything for driving on, and the ramp length is not optional space — it is where the vehicle enters.
  • Width. 168.7″ overall, with 139.2″ of clear width between the columns. The column figure is the one that governs what can be driven through; the overall figure is what the building has to hold.
  • Height. The structure stands 93.1″ overall. Your ceiling has to clear that, plus the height of the tallest vehicle you intend to raise, plus whatever lighting, ducting or door track runs above the bay. Work it out with the actual vehicle in mind rather than the lift alone.
  • Runways. 295.2″ long and 24″ wide, adjustable between 48.75″ and 52.7″ apart, with the outside edges spanning 96.75″ to 100.7″. Wide-track and dual-wheel vehicles live or die on those two ranges.
  • Drive-on height. The runways sit at a 9″ minimum height, which is what the approach ramps have to overcome. Low-clearance equipment and long overhangs deserve a moment's thought here.
  • Floor. A lift carrying this kind of load is only as good as what it stands on. The slab specification is in the manufacturer's spec sheet, and confirming your own concrete against it — thickness, strength, condition, and whether an expansion joint runs through the footprint — is the buyer's job and the most common reason an installation stops on the day.
  • Power. 220V single phase, as above. Have an electrician confirm the circuit before delivery, not after.

Nine lock positions, and why the count matters

The NTR-32 holds at nine mechanical lock positions through its travel. Locks are what a raised vehicle actually rests on — hydraulic pressure raises the lift, steel holds it — and a lift with more positions lets a technician park the work at a genuinely comfortable height instead of at the nearest available one.

On heavy commercial work that is not a comfort argument for long. Brake and suspension work on a bus or a box truck is done overhead with both hands committed, and the difference between working at the right height and working at the height the lift happened to offer is a difference in how quickly people get tired, which is a difference in how carefully the last job of the day is done.

Built around length as much as weight

Capacity gets the headline, but what makes the NTR-32 usable on commercial vehicles is that the runways are 295.2″ long. Long-wheelbase trucks, shuttle buses and motorhomes distribute their mass over a great deal of chassis, and a lift that carries the weight but not the length forces overhang at one end or both. The width between the columns — 139.2″ — is the companion figure, because a vehicle wide at the mirrors still has to get past the structure.

The lift itself weighs 9,037 lbs to ship, and that number is worth reading twice before delivery day rather than on it. It is not a machine that gets nudged into position by four people on a Saturday.

Perfect For

  • Fleet maintenance operations running trucks, vans and buses that a conventional four-post cannot take.
  • Commercial truck and trailer shops, where capacity and runway length are both binding constraints.
  • Municipal and utility depots servicing their own heavy vehicles in-house.
  • RV and motorhome specialists, for whom length is usually the harder problem than weight.
  • Buildings without three-phase power that had assumed a lift of this class was out of reach.

Certification, stated plainly

We do not list a third-party lift safety certification for this model and we are not going to imply one. Say that out loud on a machine at this end of the market, because the buyers most likely to need it are the ones most likely to be reading — commercial insurance schedules, fleet and municipal equipment policies and some local jurisdictions do name a specific listed standard, and a bus depot is exactly the kind of operation that gets asked. Establish what you are required to hold before you order, get it in writing from whoever is asking, and tell us what it says. We would rather answer that question honestly in advance than have it asked during an inspection.

Shipping and delivery

This lift travels by freight to the lower 48, and the freight cost is calculated live for your address when you check out, so the figure is a current carrier rate rather than an estimate that has drifted since it was written. At 9,037 lbs shipping weight the unloading is the receiver's responsibility and it is genuinely a machine-handling job: a forklift with the reach and the rating for it, or a loading dock. Taking delivery at the carrier's terminal is often the easier route because the terminal already has the equipment; it is worth deciding which you are doing before the shipment moves. Delivery to a residential address attracts a residential fee, applied at checkout when that option is selected. Pickup at our own locations is also available for Triumph four-post lifts, as listed below.

Inspect the shipment before you sign. Walk the crate, look for crushing, gouges, missing banding and any sign it has shifted in transit, and write what you find on the bill of lading while the driver is present. Photograph it from several angles. Once a clean bill of lading is signed, the carrier's position is that the freight arrived intact, and that is a very difficult position to argue against afterwards.

Warranty

The Triumph warranty document that covers this lift is available from us on request, and if the terms bear on your purchase, ask for it before you order rather than after. One rule applies to every hydraulic lift regardless of manufacturer: if something fails, do not dismantle the power unit, a cylinder or a lock assembly before a claim is open. A component that has already been taken apart is normally treated as modified, which is the quickest way to lose cover you were entitled to. Photograph the fault, record the serial number, and call us first.
