It is a tall, narrow package rather than a long, low one, which means it will go into a corner, an alcove or a plant cupboard that a full-size horizontal screw machine cannot enter, let alone be serviced in.

What comes out of it is 89 CFM at 125 PSI at a 100% duty cycle, from a 25 HP TEFC IP55 motor on a 460V, 3-phase supply, with an 80-gallon ASME receiver underneath.

The compact trade-off, stated honestly

Compact packages get their size from somewhere, and on this model two things are left out. We would rather you knew both before you order than discover them during commissioning.

First, this is an open compressor. There is no sound-attenuating enclosure around it, unlike the cabinet models elsewhere in the range, and an open screw machine running continuously is noticeably louder than an enclosed one. Behind a closed plant-room or bay door that is a non-issue and you have saved money and space. In the corner of an open workshop, think it through first — it is the most common regret with open-frame compressors.

Second, our specification record lists no aftercooler on this configuration, and also no air dryer and no electronic drain valve. Compressed air leaves a screw compressor hot and carrying moisture; without an aftercooler, more of that moisture stays airborne and condenses further down your pipework instead of at the machine. That is manageable — a properly sloped main, a drip leg and a drain routine go a long way — but if you are spraying, cutting with plasma, or running anything moisture-sensitive, budget for downstream treatment as part of the purchase rather than as a later upgrade.

That is the entire reason to buy a screw compressor at this size rather than a large piston machine, which is rated to run for a fraction of each hour and designed to stop and cool between them.

Controls and three-phase protection

A 24V microprocessor controller runs the machine, with adjustable operating parameters and a continuous readout so setup fits your shop and a fault reports itself rather than needing to be deduced. Automatic starters include phase and sequence failure detection, and a magnetic starter is fitted as standard.

That protection is worth understanding rather than skimming. A supply connected in the wrong rotation will turn a screw air end backwards and damage it in short order, and a lost phase will overheat a motor that still sounds like it is working. Both are detected here before the machine runs.
