-Description
-MaxJax M7K Portable Car Lift — Supreme Package
A portable two-post lift lives or dies on its working envelope: how much vehicle fits between the columns, how far the arms will reach to find the lift points, and how many useful heights you can lock it at. The M7K's answer is a drive-thru clearance adjustable from 74 in. to 104 in. (1,880 mm to 2,642 mm) with arm reach from 26 in. to 40 in. — because you set the column spacing yourself, the same lift is configured narrow for a hatchback bay and wide for a pickup.
That adjustability is the practical difference between a lift that suits the car you own today and one that still suits the workshop in five years. Underneath it sits 7,000 lbs (2,722 kg) of capacity and a per-arm limit of 1,750 lbs (794 kg).
Seven Heights, Not One
The M7K locks in seven positions, spaced every 3 in. That sounds like a detail and it is not. Brake and wheel work wants the car low enough to reach over; exhaust and transmission work wants it as high as it goes; a long inspection wants it wherever your back stops complaining. Being able to choose a lock height in 3 in. steps means the lift adapts to the job instead of the technician adapting to the lift. A full rise takes about 45 seconds, which is the figure that matters when the lift is going up and down a dozen times a day rather than once.
Maximum lift height is 47.25 in. at the top of the pad, or 50.5 in. with the 3 in. adapter fitted.
Will It Fit Your Space?
Start with overall height: 89.5 in. (2,273 mm), with the column itself 64 in. (1,626 mm). The 89.5 in. figure is what must clear the ceiling, the garage door track, the opener rail and the lights — before you add the vehicle. This is a lift designed for ceilings that will not take a full-rise two-post, but it still has to be measured rather than assumed.
Then width: typical width outside the base plates runs 105 in. to 135 in. (2,667 mm to 3,429 mm), which is your floor footprint at the two extremes of column spacing.
Then pad height. The manufacturer's specification sheet gives a minimum pad height of 5.5 in. (139.7 mm). Other MaxJax material for this same lift quotes a lower figure, so the two are not in agreement, and we are not going to publish the more attractive one and hope. If minimum pad height is the measurement that decides whether the arms will slide under your car, contact us before you order and we will get a definitive answer from the manufacturer.
Finally the floor and the supply. This lift bolts into concrete, and the slab requirement is stated in the installation manual rather than in the data we hold — so no thickness or strength figure is printed here. Verifying the slab is the buyer's responsibility, and it is the part of the installation nobody should improvise. The motor is specified at 50-60 Hz, 1 Ph, 15 Amps with no supply voltage given anywhere in the data; confirm the voltage with us against your circuit before ordering.
Built for Being Moved
Each column weighs 300 lbs (136 kg) — substantial, and deliberately so, because a column carrying half of 7,000 lbs earns its mass. What makes it portable is not lightness but the design around it: heavy-duty urethane non-marring wheels for repositioning, internally threaded concrete anchors so the columns come out of the floor cleanly, and quick-connect hydraulic couplers so breaking the lift down is a matter of minutes.
The load path is designed to be left alone. Direct-drive technology eliminates lifting chains and screw mechanisms, so there is nothing to stretch or adjust; full-floating UHMW polyethylene slide blocks are specified to last the life of the lift with no lubrication; automatic arm restraints engage and disengage themselves on every cycle; and single-piece columns carry the load without a joint to fatigue.
Perfect For
- Mixed-vehicle workshops where the same lift has to take a compact car in the morning and a pickup in the afternoon.
- Commercial service teams using a lift repeatedly through the day, where rise time and lock choice compound.
- Low-ceiling garages that cannot take a full-rise two-post.
- Shops needing an additional lifting position that can be relocated as the bay layout changes.
What's in This Package
We would rather admit a gap than fill it with guesswork: MaxJax offers the M7K in several packages, and the specification data we hold is the same for every one of them — nothing in it says what the Supreme Package contains over the others. So we are not going to list contents we cannot evidence. Tell us what you need the lift to do and we will confirm exactly what is crated for this package before you buy. The lift itself is two single-piece columns, the hydraulic power unit, arms with automatic restraints and quick-connect couplers, and an optional motorcycle adapter kit extends it to motorcycles and ATVs.

Certification — What We Can and Cannot Claim
On lifts this deserves a straight answer rather than a badge. The data we hold for this lift records no independent third-party safety listing. A manufacturer's own statement that a product meets a standard is not the same instrument as a listing issued by an independent testing body, and for commercial use that difference can be decisive: insurers, dealer and fleet programmes and some local authorities require the independent listing. If any of that governs your shop, settle the requirement before you order — ask us and we will pursue whatever documentation exists rather than leave you to discover it at an inspection.
Shipping and Delivery
Freight only, lower 48 states, quoted live at checkout for the address you enter — no estimate to be revised later. You must be able to unload the shipment or take terminal pickup; the driver's job ends at the tailgate, and a column is not a hand-carry from the kerb. Residential delivery is available and carries a residential fee. Check the shipment over before you sign the delivery receipt and write any damage, crush or shortage onto it there and then. Freight claims are won on what the receipt says at the moment of delivery, not on what you find the next morning.
Warranty
The manufacturer's warranty applies; the terms in force are set out on our warranty claims page. We print no period here because the data we hold for this package does not state one — ask us and we will confirm it before you buy. If a fault does appear, contact us first and leave the lift as it stands: stripping it down or attempting a repair before the claim is opened is the single most common reason a legitimate claim is refused.
