XT200 Value Package 1: 200,000 BTUH from a wall socket, an air line and a hole in the roof
The thing that surprises people about a Lanair XT200 is how little infrastructure it wants. No gas meter, no propane tank, no three-phase feed, no oil delivery contract. The specification below asks for a single 120 V circuit at 20 amps, 2 CFM of shop air at 12-15 PSI, and a 6" Class A flue. Everything else it needs, your shop is currently paying somebody to take away.
This Value Package adds the flue hardware to the heater — a Class A chimney kit worked out for a 16' eave — so the appliance and the parts that make it safe to fire arrive together instead of in two arguments a fortnight apart.
What it takes to run one
Confirming these against your own building before the order ships is the buyer's job, and it is worth an hour with a tape measure.

Electrical: 120 V, 20 amps. A dedicated household-style circuit, not a machine feed.

Compressed air: 2 CFM at 12-15 PSI, delivered to the unit. The burner uses air to atomise the oil, which is why the demand is small but continuous.

Cabinet: 24" x 40.25" x 48", plus working room. The burner withdraws from the front and the collector box is serviced from the side, so a heater boxed into a corner becomes a heater nobody cleans.

Overhead structure: 413 lbs hanging weight. It is suspended, so what it hangs from has to carry it — check the building, not the heater.

Flue: 6" Class A. The spec table lists top and side chimney locations, so the cabinet does not have to sit directly under the roof penetration.
The cabinet, the fan and the louvers
Three details on this unit are easy to skim past and all three change how it lives in a working shop.
The cabinet is fine-grained galvanized steel, specified for rust resistance. That is not decoration. A heater hangs above a floor that gets washed, in air carrying solvent, road salt in winter and brake dust all year, and it does it for a decade or more. A rusted cabinet is what turns a repairable appliance into a replaced one.
The fan is internal rather than bolted to the outside of the box, which is a noise decision. A shop heater runs while people are talking to customers underneath it, and an appliance that makes the bay louder is one that gets switched off on the days it is most needed.
The louvers are adjustable and locking. Heat leaving a suspended unit wants to go straight up and stay there; being able to aim the discharge down a bay and lock it in position is the difference between a warm ceiling and a warm floor. Set it once, in the direction the work actually happens.
Behind all of that, the combustion chamber is 12 gauge CRS — heavy cold-rolled steel, used where the flame is.
What it will and will not burn
The fuel list on this page is specific, and specific matters with waste oil. It takes used crankcase oil up to 50 wt, used synthetic oil, used automatic transmission fluid, used C.C. synthetic ATF #1 and #2, and #1 and #2 fuel oil. In practice that covers a general repair shop's drain oil and gearbox fluid, and it means the unit will run on ordinary heating oil or diesel when the used-oil tank runs dry in a cold snap.
What is not on that list is not a grey area. Solvent, gasoline, antifreeze, brake fluid and paint waste do not belong in a waste oil heater's tank, whatever anybody tells you. Contaminated fuel is the most common cause of a burner that will not stay lit, and it is not a warranty fault.
Rated output is 200,000 BTUH over a heating area of 5,000 sq. ft., at a fuel input of 1.44 GPH.
The chimney kit supplied with this package

Through the roof: roof flashing for pitches from 0/12 to 6/12, a storm collar, a finishing collar and a roof support bracket.

Insulated sections: one Class A chimney pipe at 36" and one at 24", plus the chimney cap.

Interior run and connections: four lengths of 24" black pipe, a black tee pipe with cap, a 14" slip connector and a 90° elbow.
The kit is cut for a 16' eave. A taller building needs extra Class A sections; a shorter one simply leaves you with spare pipe. The flashing covers flat through 6/12 pitches, so check your roof against that before ordering — a steeper roof needs a different flashing, and that is a cheap part to get right in advance and an expensive afternoon to get wrong.

About the safety listing
Lanair states that its units are UL listed, and that claim appears in the copy carried on this product. It is worth understanding what it does and does not cover. A listing is an appliance-level safety assessment. It is not a permit, and it is not an insurer's approval for burning used oil inside your particular building — those are local, and in some jurisdictions they come with conditions on storage, on the flue, or on how the fuel is documented. If a listing certificate is something your inspector or underwriter will want on file, ask us for it in writing before you order rather than afterwards.
Shipping and Delivery
Freight only, to the lower 48 states, quoted live at checkout because carrier rates move and a number printed on a page goes stale. Before you order, settle two things. First, unloading: a crated heater has to come off the truck somehow, so you need a forklift, a dock, or an arrangement to collect from the carrier's terminal. Second, the delivery type: residential delivery is a separate service and carries a fee, so tell us which applies. On arrival, inspect the crate before signing anything — write any damage on the bill of lading at that moment, take photographs, and keep the packaging. Damage discovered after a clean signature is very difficult to recover.
Warranty
Coverage is the manufacturer's. One thing to know before you need it: leave the unit intact. Stripping a burner or opening a chamber before a claim has been raised usually ends the claim, because the manufacturer wants to see the fault in the state it occurred.
