It’s built for shops that deal with tough tires, stiff sidewalls, or wheels that standard changers struggle with. Its vertical press mechanism provides direct downward force to ease bead break and mount operations, giving technicians greater control and safety when working on a wide range of wheel types.
Under the hood, the KT-T855 tire press features a pressure shovel that can exert 2,500 kg (5,511 lbs) of downward force, ensuring reliable bead breaking even on stubborn tires. The machine is engineered for a maximum tire diameter of 1,100 mm (43.3 in) and a maximum tire width of 325 mm (12.8 in). It supports outer clamping ranges from 12 in to 24 in and inner support from 14 in to 28 in, accommodating a broad variety of wheel sizes. The KT-T855 operates at 110 V / 60 Hz with a motor rated at 1.5 kW, drawing a full-load current of 4.7 A. The noise level remains under 70 dB, which keeps the working environment more comfortable. The machine must also be paired with a gas source pressure of 0.8 to 1.0 MPa (116 to 145 psi) to activate the vertical press and pneumatic assist functions.
The body is constructed from robust steel plate, typically 3 mm thick, welded to provide rigidity and minimize vibration. The vertical press frame includes reinforced side walls and base plates, and the press arm or shovel is reinforced with quenching treatment on critical areas to prevent bending under load. The machine’s design ensures the downward force is centered, reducing stress on clamp arms and the tire during operation.
Operation of the KT-T855 is fairly intuitive. The technician places the wheel onto the clamping ring using either internal or external jaws, then lowers the press shovel onto the tire. With pneumatic and vertical press assistance locked in, the bead is broken with minimal exertion. Once the bead is open, the machine employs a rotating turntable to spin the wheel, using its clamping system to maintain secure grip while mounting or demounting. The vertical press helps during the first stages of mounting, supporting heavier tires and reducing risk of damage to rims.
