-Katool KT-MP2 Lift Height Extensions, Set of Four
Each KT-MP2 block gives you two heights rather than one. Sat as supplied it adds 3.94 inches to the lift pad. Turn it over and it adds roughly 2 inches more, bringing the maximum extension to about 6 inches. That is the whole design idea, and it is a good one: a single set of four covers both the modest lift a low-slung sill needs and the substantial lift a body-on-frame pickup needs, without buying two sets of adapters and without stacking anything.
They are made for Katool two-post lifts and they raise the contact point without altering the lift in any way. Nothing is drilled, nothing is welded and nothing is permanent — you are changing what sits between the arm and the vehicle, not changing the machine.
Why extension height decides which vehicles you can take
A two-post lift picks a vehicle up at four points, and those points have to be reachable from the arm at the height the arm sits. On a low car that is rarely a problem. On a truck, an SUV, a van with a raised body, or anything running a lift kit, the designated lift points can sit well above the pad, and the arm simply cannot reach them at its natural height without the pad contacting something that is not a lift point.
That is not a minor inconvenience. Lifting a vehicle on anything other than its designated points is how sills fold, how underbody trays bend and how a vehicle ends up unstable in the air. Extensions solve it properly: they raise the contact face to the point rather than persuading the vehicle to meet the pad.
The same blocks also buy working room. With the vehicle picked up higher on the arms, there is more clear space under the sills for a transmission jack, an exhaust section or a technician's shoulders.
The rotating design, and what it saves
Most adapter sets give a single fixed height, and shops end up owning several sets of pucks — one for cars, one for trucks — usually kept in different corners of the building. The KT-MP2's two positions replace that with one set that answers both questions. When the block is turned to its taller position it stands about 6 inches instead of 3.94 inches, and the change takes a few seconds per arm.
There is a safety dividend in that too. The reason people stack loose blocks and offcuts under lift arms is that the right adapter is not to hand. A set that covers two heights makes the improvised stack unnecessary, and an improvised stack under a raised vehicle is one of the genuinely dangerous habits in a workshop.
Using them properly
- Same height on all four arms. Set all four blocks to the same position for a given vehicle unless its lift points genuinely differ. A vehicle lifted unevenly is a vehicle that can shift.
- Never stack them. These extend the pad; they are not building blocks. Use one per arm at one of its two positions.
- Seat them squarely. Check each block is properly located on the pad before taking the weight up, and check the vehicle's contact at the first few inches of lift rather than at full height.
- Follow the vehicle's lift points. The extension changes the height you can reach. It does not change where the manufacturer says the vehicle may be lifted.
- Confirm your lift. They are made for Katool two-post lifts; check your model plate before ordering.
Perfect For
- Shops working mixed fleets, where a lowered car and a lifted pickup can share the same bay in an afternoon.
- Truck and SUV specialists, for whom the standard pad height is short more often than it is right.
- Home garages with one lift and several very different vehicles in the family.
- Anyone currently improvising with wood blocks or spare pucks, which is the habit these are designed to retire.
What you get
Four extension blocks, supplied as a set, for Katool two-post lifts. The set is what is listed and it is what arrives; we do not publish additional hardware with it and would rather say so than describe a box we have not itemised.

Shipping and collection
These go out to the lower 48 with the carrier charge worked out live for your address at checkout rather than taken from a fixed table, and you are welcome to collect from the warehouse instead. When the parcel arrives, count the blocks and look them over before signing: a short or damaged set is straightforward to sort out at the door and considerably less so once the driver has gone. Note anything on the delivery paperwork at the time and take a photograph.
Warranty
Katool's product warranty document is available from us on request, and we will send it before you order if the terms matter to your decision. If a block is defective, keep it, photograph it and talk to us before cutting, grinding or otherwise modifying it — a part that has been altered is normally out of warranty regardless of what was originally wrong with it.
