Katool KT-B795L: one balancer that comes with both the car cones and the truck cones

Published figures for this balancer's wheel capacity differ, so each is set out below against the source that publishes it rather than merged into a single headline number.

• The manufacturer's own description lists a maximum wheel diameter of 51.18 inches (1,300 mm) and a clamping range of 13 inches to 24 inches.
• The specification table on this page lists rim diameter 10" to 28", rim width 1.5" to 20", and maximum wheel diameter under 880 mm.
• The power supply is listed as 220V 1PH/60HZ in that table, while a separate published field lists 230V.

The 440 lbs (200 kg) wheel weight limit is consistent everywhere, and it is the figure most likely to govern what you can actually do. On diameter and on power: if your largest wheel is near the top of any of these ranges, or an electrician is sizing the circuit, send us the rim size and confirm the figures with us in writing before you order — we will take them from the current Katool factory sheet. The millimetre figures are left exactly as published rather than converted, so that nothing here reads as a measured specification when it is arithmetic.

Balancing speed, and why 180 RPM is the right kind of number

The KT-B795L spins at 180rpm. That is a measurement cycle speed, not a performance boast, and it matters for a practical reason: a balancer that reaches its measuring speed quickly and settles gives you a usable reading per wheel in a workflow where the wheel handling, not the machine, is the slow part. On heavy truck wheels the handling is genuinely the slow part, which is why the hood, the wing nut and the cone selection do more for your day than another few RPM would.

Built for a bay, not a bench

Two things on this machine tell you who it was designed for. The first is the protective hood, which is not decoration on a wheel with this much stored energy in it. The second is the display: bright, high-contrast, and positioned to be read standing up with a wheel in your hands rather than crouched at a keyboard. • Power. Single-phase, 220V 1PH/60HZ per the specification table. That is a dedicated circuit in most shops, not an extension lead off the bench outlet.
• Space. No overall footprint is published for this machine and we will not estimate one. What it needs is floor for the machine plus swing room for the largest wheel you intend to mount, and room to roll that wheel to the shaft without lifting it further than you want to.
• Handling. A wheel approaching the 440 lbs limit is a two-person lift or a wheel dolly. Plan for that before the first heavy job, not during it.
• Floor. Level and solid. A balancer that rocks reads a wheel that is not rocking, and you will chase that fault for a week.

Shipping and delivery

The KT-B795L ships by freight truck to addresses in the lower 48 states. Freight is quoted live at checkout against the address you enter, so the number you see is a current carrier rate rather than a stale estimate. It arrives crated on a standard trailer and getting it off that trailer is the receiver's job — a forklift, a machine, or a plan and some help. If you have none of those, collecting from the carrier's local terminal is usually the easier route, since the terminal is already set up for it. Delivery to a residential address carries a residential fee, applied at checkout when you choose that option.

Inspect it before you sign. Check the crate for crushed corners, punctures and shifted banding, and write anything you find on the bill of lading with the driver still present. Photograph it. A clean signature is the carrier's proof that the machine arrived undamaged, and arguing with it afterwards is close to impossible.

Warranty

The warranty stated on this product is 1 year, manufacturer, parts only, with no labour included. We have written that out in full rather than shortening it to "one-year warranty", because the parts-only part is the half that surprises people. Budget for your own labour on a warranty repair, or ask us about the options before you order.

One rule applies whoever built the machine: if something fails, do not strip the head, the sensor assembly or the shaft before a claim is open. A disassembled component is normally treated as a modified one, which is the quickest way to lose coverage you would otherwise have had. Photograph the fault, note the serial number, and call first.
