-Description
-Katool KT-B750: the balancer that takes a genuinely wide wheel
Balancers are usually compared on accuracy, and almost all of them claim the same thing. The specification that actually decides whether a machine can do your work is duller and far more useful: how wide a wheel will it accept? The KT-B750 accepts a wheel up to 15" wide, which is well past where the smaller machines in this range stop.
That extra width sounds like nothing until a staggered-fitment sports car, a wide-rim truck build or a modified crossover rolls in and the machine you own has to say no. That single number, alongside an automatic measuring ruler that removes the two hand-entered figures most balance errors come from, is what this machine is for.
Fifteen inches, and who needs it
Wheel width limits on a balancer are not marketing. They are set by the shaft length, the cone travel and the physical clearance inside the machine. A wheel that will not sit square on the shaft cannot be measured accurately no matter how good the sensors are, so a shop that regularly sees wide rear fitments either buys the width or turns the work away.
The KT-B750 pairs its 15" width with a rim diameter capacity under 30" and an assembly diameter under 880 mm (34.65"), a rim centre bore up to 135 mm, and a maximum wheel weight of 65 kg. Between them those figures cover ordinary passenger work comfortably and take in the wider aftermarket fitments that a narrower machine will not.
The automatic measuring ruler, and the error it removes
Every balancer needs three geometric inputs before it can calculate anything: the distance from the machine to the rim, the rim diameter, and the rim width. On a manual machine an operator reads those off the wheel and keys them in. It takes seconds and it is where the mistakes live. Enter the distance wrong by a centimetre and the machine will still report a confident, precise, wrong weight placement, the wheel goes back on the car, and the customer returns with the same vibration.
The KT-B750 reads distance and diameter itself with an automatic measurement arm. There is nothing to type, so there is nothing to mistype, and the setup is identical whether the technician has been doing this for a decade or a week. Combined with double-sided self-calibration and built-in fault diagnosis, it means the machine can be verified in the bay rather than trusted blindly between service visits.
What the steel thicknesses are doing there
A balancer is a force-measuring instrument bolted to a box. If the box flexes while the wheel spins, the flex is measured along with the imbalance, and the reading includes the machine's own movement. That is why Katool quotes the structure rather than describing it: a 3 mm high-strength steel body with solid welding, and an all-in-one pressure sensor support in which the bottom and side boards are both 8 mm thick, so the sensor sits on something that does not move. The shaft thread is 36 mm and quenched, because a thread that stretches under load produces scatter between two spins of the same wheel.
The rest follows the same logic. The spin runs at 180 rpm with a cycle around seven seconds, the display resolves to one gram, the computer board is built to be moisture-proof, dustproof and antistatic, and several balance modes cover alloy, steel and hidden-weight placement. Units switch between ounces and grams and between millimetres and inches. A composite guard is included, and the shaft is long enough to suit wider wheels - the same design decision as the width capacity, seen from the other end.
Will it fit your shop?
- Wheel envelope. Rim diameter under 30", wheel diameter under 880 mm (34.65"), wheel width up to 15", centre bore up to 135 mm, wheel weight up to 65 kg. Check the widest and heaviest wheel you actually service, not the average one.
- Power. Single phase (1PH). The voltage is printed inconsistently in this product's data, as 110V in one field and 120V in another, so confirm the circuit with us before you install rather than trusting either figure.
- Space. A flat floor with clearance to swing a wheel onto the shaft and stand square to the display. Balancers are unhappy on uneven or springy flooring for the reasons in the section above.
- Your responsibility. Verifying the supply and the floor is the buyer's job. We can state the machine's requirements; we cannot inspect your premises.
Perfect For
- Tire shops handling wide and staggered fitments that a narrower balancer cannot mount.
- Performance and modification workshops where aftermarket wheels are the norm rather than the exception.
- High-volume service centres where the automatic measuring arm pays for itself in avoided comebacks.
- Mixed car and light-truck operations that want one balancer to cover the whole book.
What is in the box
- KT-B750 wheel balancer with a 3 mm steel body and welded frame
- Automatic measurement ruler for automatic entry of distance and diameter
- Composite slash guard
- Extended shaft with a 36 mm quenched thread for wider wheels

Certification, stated plainly
This product's data claims no third-party North American safety listing and this page will not imply one. Wheel balancers are not subject to the listing regime that governs vehicle lifts, so for nearly every buyer the point is academic. It stops being academic when an insurance schedule, a fleet purchasing rule or a local authority names a specific listing as a condition of use. If that describes your situation, confirm the requirement with whoever sets it before ordering, and ask us for the documentation the manufacturer does provide.
Shipping and delivery
The KT-B750 ships as freight within the lower 48 states, priced live at checkout from the address you enter so the figure reflects what the carrier charges today. Unloading falls to the receiver, so plan for a forklift or a machine, or choose a terminal pickup, which many buyers find easier because the terminal already has the equipment on site. Selecting residential delivery adds a residential fee at checkout.
Look the crate over before signing anything. Damaged corners, torn wrap, broken banding and any sign of a fall should be written onto the bill of lading with the driver present, and photographed. Once you have signed clean, the carrier's position is that the machine arrived intact.
Warranty
Katool's warranty document governs coverage on this machine and this listing does not restate its terms, so request the current version from us if it bears on your decision. One thing holds regardless: do not open a faulty machine up before the claim is registered. A unit that has already been taken apart is very difficult to claim on, however evident the original defect was.
