Description
-CEMB ER100 EVO Automatic RFV Diagnostic Balancer
The word in this machine's name that earns its price is diagnostic. In one spin, and with no intervention from the operator, the ER100 EVO measures the wheel's dimensions, its unbalance, wheel and rim runout with direct matching, tread depth and conicity. It can also run a full diagnosis on a bare rim on its own.
That changes what the machine is for. A conventional balancer answers one question — how much weight, and where. This one answers the question a customer actually walked in with: why does the car shake? Imbalance is only one of several causes, and the others (a rim that is out of round, a tire with excessive radial force variation, uneven or worn tread) will survive a perfect balance job and bring the customer back annoyed. Being able to show them a measurement instead of a second opinion is the difference between a comeback and a tire sale.
One Spin, and What You Get From It
Runout with direct matching tells you whether the tire and rim can be re-indexed against each other to cancel each other out — often the fix that saves a customer from buying a tire they do not need. Conicity explains a pull that survives an alignment. Tread depth, captured automatically at the same time, gives you a documented condition report without anyone kneeling on the floor with a gauge.
None of that requires a separate operation. It is the same spin that produces the balance figures, which is why it actually gets done rather than being a procedure the shop intends to run and never does.
AutoAdaptive OPB: One Weight Instead of Two
The balancing side is built around AutoAdaptive OPB, combining a new operator display with a 3D scanner and laser pointer. It produces an accurate dynamic balance but, where it can, shifts the correction to a single tape-on weight in a location the computer chooses, rather than the two operator-chosen positions a conventional balance needs. The laser then points at bottom dead centre so the weight goes exactly where the calculation put it.
The manufacturer reports this cuts balancing time by over 35% on more than 70% of today's tire and wheel assemblies, and estimates that an average tire shop saves over $175 per month in labour as a result. Take those as the manufacturer's own figures rather than a promise from us — your saving depends entirely on your volume and your labour rate — but the mechanism behind them is straightforward and worth understanding: fewer weights, placed once, without the operator having to judge the position.
Built to Take the Judgement Calls Out of the Cycle
A lot of this machine is designed to remove judgement calls from the cycle. Dimensions are entered automatically by laser rather than typed, which eliminates the single most common source of a wrong balance. Wheel locking is pneumatic, so centring is accurate and quick and does not depend on how hard someone tightened a cone. A DC motor positions and holds the wheel at the correct point automatically, and an LED lights the working space inside the rim so the technician can see the surface the weight is going onto. Balancing speed is under 100 rpm, and the wheel guard stays part of the cycle.
The automatic Zeroweight lift is a CEMB patent and takes the lifting out of loading a heavy assembly onto the shaft. The machine self-diagnoses and self-calibrates, which is what "maintenance-free" means here in practice: no calibration weight ritual, and a fault gets named on the display instead of being guessed at over the phone.
The rest is bookkeeping done properly. Quick menus switch inches to millimetres and ounces to grams and set the unbalance threshold; there is an optimisation program for cancelling rim and tire unbalance against each other, a static program and four ALU programs for PAX, light-alloy and special-shaped rims; print format and graphics can be customised and the screensaver personalised; and a 21-compartment tray keeps the weights sorted rather than in a drawer.
Will It Fit, and What Does It Need
Power is 110 VAC — an ordinary single-phase shop circuit. It also needs compressed air for the pneumatic locking, with the specification table giving a maximum air pressure of 145 psi; check your regulated line pressure against the table before installation.
The number to check first is the crate, not the machine. Shipping dimensions are L58″ × W43″ × H85″, at 630 lbs gross. An 85″ crate height clears most roll-up shop doors and very few standard personnel doors, so plan the route from the truck to the bay before delivery day rather than on it. Confirming your door heights, floor and power and air supply is the buyer's responsibility — send us your constraints and we will work through them with you.
On the wheel side: rim diameter 10″ to 30″, rim width 1.5″ to 20″, maximum wheel weight 165 lbs (75 kg), shaft size 40 mm. The product data also gives a maximum tire diameter of 42″.
Perfect For
- High-volume tire dealers where a third of the balancing time back is a real capacity gain, not a rounding error.
- Shops that fight comeback vibrations and need runout, conicity and RFV data to prove where the fault actually is.
- Dealership service departments handling new-vehicle vibration complaints under warranty, where a documented measurement settles the argument.
- Wheel and performance specialists running large-diameter and light-alloy fitments that need the ALU and optimisation programs.
What's in the Box
The machine is supplied with the automatic Zeroweight lift, the wheel guard, the 21-compartment weight tray, the touch-screen video interface, pneumatic locking, the lasers for automatic dimension entry, runout, tread depth and conicity, and the LED rim lighting. It is made in Italy and assembled in the USA.

Certification, Stated Plainly
The material we hold on this machine — the manufacturer's overview, the feature list and the specification table — does not state a third-party safety listing or an independent conformity assessment, and we will not imply one it does not claim. The Zeroweight lift and the pneumatic wheel locking are described as patented, which is a statement about invention and not about any outside body having examined the machine.
If you have to evidence independent assessment to an insurer, a fleet or public-sector purchasing office, or a local inspector, send us the exact requirement before you order and we will put it to the manufacturer in writing rather than guess at it here.
Shipping and Delivery
This machine ships by freight to the lower 48. The freight cost is quoted live at checkout against your delivery ZIP code, so what you see is the current rate for your address rather than a number copied out of an old table.
Decide before you order how the crate is coming off the truck. The driver brings the shipment to you; unloading it is the receiver's responsibility. Most shops take a machine of this weight off with a forklift. If you do not have one, choose terminal pickup instead and collect it with suitable equipment. Residential delivery is available and carries a residential fee, which is calculated at checkout when you select it.
Whichever you choose, inspect the crate before you sign anything. Walk the pallet, photograph crushed corners, punctures or a shifted load, and write the damage onto the bill of lading in words. A clean signature is a statement that the shipment arrived intact, and a concealed-damage claim is far harder to win afterwards. Call, text or chat with us if something looks wrong and we will open the claim alongside you.
Warranty
This machine carries the manufacturer's warranty. We have deliberately not restated its term or its covered components in this description, because the warranty document supplied with the machine is the governing text and it is the one any claim is settled against. Ask us and we will send you the current document before you order.
One practical warning that applies to every machine we sell: do not take a suspect component apart before a claim is open. Manufacturers routinely decline warranty on assemblies that have already been disassembled, because a stripped part can no longer be inspected for the cause of the failure. Photograph the fault, write down what the machine was doing when it happened, and call us first.
