Description
-Bludee AC600: a dedicated machine for the newer refrigerant
The AC600 exists because of a rule that has nothing to do with electronics or automation: you cannot put two refrigerants through one set of hoses. Vehicles built for R1234YF need a machine that has only ever handled R1234YF, and the moment a shop starts seeing them regularly, a second dedicated machine stops being an expense and starts being the only workable answer.
That is what this is — a full-function recovery, recycling, evacuation, leak-test and recharge machine committed to one refrigerant, on the same automated platform as Bludee's R134A units. It recovers, drains used oil, pulls vacuum, refills oil and recharges as a single sequence, then prints the result.
Why cross-contamination is the expensive mistake
Mixing refrigerants does not produce a dramatic failure. It produces a slow, costly one. A contaminated storage cylinder means the machine can no longer be trusted on any vehicle, its contents have to be dealt with as mixed gas rather than reclaimed, and every system it has touched since becomes a question. The cost is not the refrigerant — it is the machine standing idle and the jobs that have to be revisited.
Dedicating a machine to one gas removes the possibility entirely, which is why the industry moved this way rather than towards clever adapters. It is also why the identifier question below is worth reading before you buy.
Read this about identification before you order
The manufacturer's data for this product contradicts itself and we are not going to paper over it. The feature list carried on this page includes an automatic refrigerant-identification line, yet the model itself is named to distinguish it from the AC600i, which is sold specifically with an identifier and at a higher price. Those two facts cannot both be describing the same machine. We have not been able to resolve it from Bludee's own documentation.
So: if you are buying this machine because you want a built-in identifier, talk to us first. Ask us to confirm it in writing and we will get an answer from Bludee before you commit. If identification is a must-have, the AC600i is the model whose name carries the feature and whose description leads on it.
Automation you will notice on a busy day
The recurring theme of this machine is that it does not need a technician to come back to it. The internal tank refills itself, so a low cylinder does not stop a service halfway through. Air purge runs automatically, keeping non-condensable gas out of the storage tank — that contamination is invisible, and it wrecks charge accuracy long before anyone suspects the machine. The vacuum stage gets to level quickly in whatever condition it finds the system. And a vacuum leak test catches a gross leak before a single ounce of an expensive refrigerant goes into it, which on R1234YF is a saving worth having on its own.
The tank is installed internally rather than hanging off the back, the scales are onboard, and a thermal printer is built in, so the vehicle record comes off the machine rather than out of somebody's notebook. Tank filling can be run to a preset value or done manually when you want to override it.
Power, siting and what it needs from your bay
Input is 110V at 60 Hz — a standard single-phase outlet, no special supply. The cabinet measures 560 x 625 x 1048 mm. We are quoting that in millimetres deliberately: the imperial dimensions in the catalogue data for this model are transcription errors (the millimetre figures with inch marks attached to them), and we would rather give you one figure that is right than two where one is nonsense. Convert it yourself, or ask us and we will confirm the machine's dimensions with the manufacturer.
Give it a permanent home with clear frontal access, and keep the hoses off the floor route. Preparing a suitable, ventilated space with a proper supply is the owner's responsibility.
One figure worth settling before you order
The manufacturer's overview text claims 95% recovery efficiency for standard and hybrid vehicles. The specification table lower down this page says 99% to medium vacuum. Both come from Bludee, both describe the AC600, and they are not the same claim. Both are given here with the source they were published in. If recovery efficiency matters to your decision, ask us and we will get it settled in writing with Bludee before you order.
Perfect For
- Shops seeing their first R1234YF vehicles in volume and needing a dedicated machine rather than a compromise.
- Dealerships and franchised workshops handling recent model years as a matter of course.
- Fleet operations with a newer vehicle mix, where printed service records are part of the process.
- Two-machine shops pairing this with an existing R134A unit to cover the whole customer base without ever swapping hoses.
What's in the box
The machine, with its internally installed tank, onboard electronic scales, built-in thermal printer and the vehicle capacity database. Refrigerant, oil and dye are consumables and are not included. Bludee does not itemise the accessories further, so we do not either — ask before ordering if a specific coupler or hose set is part of your decision.

Certification and compliance, stated honestly
We hold no third-party performance listing for this machine, and this page claims none. Recovery and recharge equipment is one of the areas where a shop can find itself held to an assessed standard by a manufacturer warranty programme, an insurer or a local requirement, and a maker's own efficiency claim is a different thing from an independent assessment of it. Check what applies to you before buying rather than afterwards. Ask us and we will request Bludee's compliance paperwork and forward exactly what they send.
Delivery and pickup
Crated equipment, shipped as freight within the lower 48 states, or collected from the warehouse if that suits you better. The freight cost is calculated live for your address at checkout, and deliveries to a residential address attract a residential fee. Be honest with us about the receiving end: without a dock or a forklift, terminal pickup is usually the sensible route. When it arrives, open nothing and sign nothing until you have walked around the crate — note any damage on the bill of lading in front of the driver, because a clean signature is very hard to undo later.
Warranty
Our warranty claims page carries the terms and the process. Talk to us before anyone opens the machine. There is a sealed refrigerant circuit, calibrated load cells and a pressure vessel inside it, and a unit that has been taken apart before assessment cannot be assessed — that ends the warranty and generally ends the discussion too.
