An automatic gauge for everyday rims, and a manual setting for the ones it cannot reach
The Corghi Service Pro 150 is a heavy-duty wheel balancer with an integrated wheel lift, aimed at shops running truck, bus and car work through the same bay. The specification that distinguishes it is easy to skim past on a data sheet: it has two rim-diameter ranges, not one. The measuring gauge reads rim diameter automatically from 9" to 28", and beyond that the operator can set rim diameter manually all the way out to 35".
That second range is the useful one. Automatic gauges are a genuine improvement — they take the most common source of a bad balance, a mistyped rim dimension, out of the operator's hands. But an auto gauge has a mechanical reach, and a wheel outside it usually means the machine simply refuses the job. Here the oversized rim is still balanceable; you just enter the dimension yourself instead of letting the arm read it. For a shop that mostly sees ordinary commercial rims but occasionally gets handed something agricultural, industrial or off-highway, that is the difference between doing the work and turning it away.
Shop requirements before you order
The machine's footprint is 71.5" × 54.4" × 72.4". Unlike a bench-style passenger balancer, this is a tall, full-standing unit — allow for its height as well as its floor area, and leave clear space in front for a heavy wheel to be rolled up to the lift.
It weighs 585 lbs (265 kg) before a wheel goes on it. Level floor matters more than thick floor for a balancer: the machine resolves imbalance to a fraction of an ounce, and a unit that rocks under a spinning commercial wheel produces readings that wander between cycles. Shim and level it properly at installation and it will repeat.
Power is 115V, 60Hz, single phase (1ph) — an ordinary shop circuit. Confirm you have one at the position you intend to use, along with compressed air for the wheel lift.
Siting, levelling, the electrical circuit and the air feed are the customer's responsibility. Measure your own bay against the figures above before ordering; we are happy to check a floor plan with you, but the measurement has to come from your side.
The wheel lift is the reason this machine belongs in a truck bay
The Service Pro 150 accepts a wheel assembly up to 441 lbs (200 kg), and it has an integrated lift to get that wheel onto the shaft. A 441 lb wheel is not something two technicians should be wrestling to shaft height, and the alternative in shops without a lift is usually an improvised arrangement with a floor jack and a plank, which is how backs and rims both get damaged.
The practical workflow is short: roll the wheel to the machine, let the lift raise it to the shaft, mount and clamp, set or measure the rim dimensions, spin, apply weights, then lower it back to the floor. Nothing in that sequence requires a technician to take the wheel's weight.
Two spin speeds, and why the truck speed is lower
The machine spins at 120 rpm for car wheels and 80 rpm for truck wheels. The slower truck speed is deliberate engineering rather than a compromise. Rotational energy climbs steeply with mass, and a commercial wheel at passenger-car speed is storing a great deal of it — which has to be put in on spin-up and taken back out on braking, through the shaft, the bearings and the machine's frame. Running truck wheels slower gives the same measurement quality with far less stress on the machine and a calmer, safer cycle for the operator standing next to it.
Because car work runs at the higher speed, the machine does not punish you for putting passenger wheels through it between truck jobs. Published average measurement times for both car and truck cycles appear in the specification table on this page.
Measuring ranges, spelled out
Three different ranges get muddled on balancer data sheets, so here they are separately:

One honest caveat on maximum wheel diameter. The manufacturer's records we hold for this machine do not agree with each other on the maximum wheel diameter figure — the specification table on this page carries one value and a separate product record carries a larger one. We have chosen not to print a number in this description that we cannot stand behind. If your largest wheel is anywhere near the limit, contact us before you order and we will get the figure confirmed by the manufacturer in writing. That is a slower answer than a confident number, and a much better one.

Certification and compliance, stated honestly
We do not publish an independent North American safety listing for this balancer, and we are not going to imply one with loose compliance wording. If an insurer, a corporate fleet standard, a local jurisdiction or a customer contract obliges you to buy equipment carrying a specific third-party listing or meeting a named standard, resolve that before ordering, not after the machine is on your floor. Send us the exact requirement and we will ask the manufacturer for documentation in writing — and tell you plainly if it cannot be produced.
Shipping and delivery
This balancer ships by freight to the contiguous United States. The freight charge is calculated live at checkout for your address, so you see a current rate rather than an estimate typed into a description.
You need to be able to unload it, or to collect from the carrier's terminal. At this crated weight the driver will not be taking it off the truck for you, so have a forklift of adequate capacity available or choose terminal pickup. Residential delivery is available and carries a residential fee.
Check the crate before you sign for it. Look for fork punctures, crushed corners, cut banding and any sign the load has shifted, photograph anything questionable, and write the damage onto the bill of lading while the driver is still there. A clean signature is very hard to walk back.
Warranty
The Service Pro 150 is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. We have not printed a term here rather than risk a stale number sitting on a page — the current process is on our warranty claims page, and we will put the applicable coverage in writing before you buy if you ask.
Do not dismantle the machine before making a claim. Opening up the measuring electronics, the drive or the lift's air circuit to find the fault yourself is the most common way a valid claim gets refused. Call us with the serial number and the symptom and let us start the claim properly.
