Description
-Katool Tire Changer KT-T810 & Wheel Balancer KT-B700 Combo
Katool KT-T810 and KT-B700: one purchase, two different capacity limits
Buying a tire changer and a balancer together saves a wheel transfer, a second crate and a second delivery. It also hides something worth knowing before you order, and it is the reason this page exists rather than repeating the manufacturer's brochure: the two machines in this pairing do not cover the same wheels.
The KT-T810 changer handles a wheel up to 41" (1,040 mm) in overall diameter and up to 15" (380 mm) wide. The KT-B700 balancer handles a rim up to 30", an assembly up to 880 mm (34.64") across, and a wheel between 3" and 12" wide. The changer is the more generous of the two. The balancer is what actually decides which wheels this pair can take from mounting through to a finished, balanced assembly, and that is the number to size your purchase against.
Where the two machines stop
| Wheel diameter, changer | up to 41" (1,040 mm) |
|---|---|
| Wheel diameter, balancer | up to 880 mm (34.64") |
| Wheel width, changer | up to 15" (380 mm) |
| Wheel width, balancer | 3" to 12" |
| Rim diameter, balancer | under 30" |
For a shop working cars, crossovers and light trucks that overlap is complete and the difference never surfaces. If you are quoting on wide rear fitments, dually inners or oversized aftermarket wheels, the balancer is the machine that will turn work away, not the changer. Measure a couple of the widest wheels you actually see before you commit.
The KT-T810 changer, and why the clamping range matters more than the motor
The changer runs a 2.0 HP single-phase motor driving the turntable, with the bead breaker and the mount/demount functions on foot pedals so both hands stay on the tire. That much is ordinary. What separates one wheel-clamp machine from another in daily use is where the jaws grip.
The KT-T810 clamps 12" to 22" on the outside of the rim and 14" to 24" from the inside. Outside clamping is the gentler option and the one you want on a finished alloy: the jaws close on the outer flange, covered, and never enter the barrel. Once a wheel is bigger than the outside range you have to clamp from the inside instead, which puts the jaws against the drop centre. A 22" outside limit means most current SUV and light-truck wheels can still be taken the gentle way.
Rim protection is built around that. The jaws are alloy steel, surface-hardened and fitted with covers. The mounting head is stainless, polished, and carries a replaceable plastic rim guard, so the wear item is a part you swap rather than a head you replace. A bead blast inflation system is included for seating stubborn beads, and the pneumatics run on regulated shop air with the working range topping out at 145 PSI.
The KT-B700 balancer, and what an automatic measuring ruler removes
The balancer's headline number is a spin at 180 rpm with a cycle of roughly seven seconds, but throughput is rarely lost in the spin. It is lost at data entry. The KT-B700 carries an automatic measuring ruler that reads rim distance and diameter off the wheel instead of asking the operator to key them in, and a mistyped offset is the single most common cause of a wheel that comes off the machine reading zero and still shakes at highway speed.
Its computer is sealed against moisture, dust and shop debris, which is a real consideration in a bay that also runs a bead blaster. Multiple balance modes cover alloy, steel and hidden-weight work, and the digital display reads out to a one gram resolution. The mechanical envelope is the part to check against your work: a rim centre bore under 135 mm (5.31") and a wheel weight under 65 kg (143 lbs).
Will it fit your shop?
- Compressed air. Both the bead breaker and the inflation system are pneumatic. You need a regulated supply that will hold pressure through a bead blast, not just reach it.
- Power. Both machines run on single-phase (1PH) shop power, and the tire changer's voltage is worth confirming with us before an electrician quotes the work. Katool's own documents disagree about it: the specification table on this listing reads 120V single phase, while the manufacturer's product description for the same machine says it runs at 110 volts. Those are not the same circuit. We would rather tell you the sources conflict than print whichever number reads better, so ask us and we will confirm it against the current factory documentation.
- Floor. The changer alone is 186 kg, and it wants a flat, solid floor and room to swing an arm on the pedal side. Plan the pair as one workstation with the balancer within a step of the changer, which is the whole efficiency argument for buying them together.
- Your responsibility. Bay layout, power, air supply and floor condition are yours to confirm. We can tell you what the machines need; we cannot see your building.
Perfect For
- Independent repair shops adding tire service as a second revenue line rather than a specialty.
- General service bays that currently sublet mounting and balancing and want the job back in house.
- Fleet and municipal yards running cars and light trucks on a predictable wheel range.
- Serious home and club workshops with three-phase-free single-phase power and a compressor already installed.
What is in the box

Certification, stated plainly
Neither machine in this pairing is listed on this page as carrying a third-party North American safety listing, and we are not going to imply one. Tire service equipment is generally not regulated the way a vehicle lift is, so for most private and independent buyers the question never arises. It does arise for some commercial insurance policies, some fleet and municipal purchasing rules, and a few local jurisdictions that name a specific listing in a contract. If any of those apply to you, confirm the requirement with the party that imposes it before you order, and ask us for whatever documentation the manufacturer supplies.
Shipping and delivery
This pair ships by freight truck within the lower 48 states. Freight is quoted live at checkout against your address, so the figure you see is a current carrier rate rather than a stale estimate. Two crated machines arrive on a standard trailer, and getting them to the ground is the receiver's job, so you need a forklift, a suitable machine or a plan. Collecting from the carrier's local terminal is often simpler, and the terminal is already equipped for it. Delivery to a residential address carries a residential fee, applied at checkout when you choose that option.
Inspect before signing. Look for crushed corners, torn shrink, shifted banding and any sign the crate has been dropped, and write what you find on the bill of lading while the driver is standing there. Photograph it. A clean signature is the carrier's proof that the shipment arrived intact.
Warranty
Katool's warranty document is the governing text and this listing does not restate its terms, so ask us for the current version before you buy if the coverage matters to your decision. One rule applies whatever the terms say: do not strip a machine down before a claim is filed. A unit that has already been disassembled is almost always an unpayable claim, no matter how obvious the fault was.
