The press arm on the left, and a swing arm that gets out of the way
The suffix on this model is the specification. A press arm is what holds a stiff, low-profile sidewall down in the drop centre while the head works round the rim — without it, that job is done by an operator leaning on the tyre with one hand and driving the machine with the other, which is how beads get torn and knuckles get hurt. On the TC-950-WPA the arm is mounted on the left side, positioned to work with the operator rather than across them.
Behind it is a swing arm layout: the mount/demount tower swings clear of the table entirely rather than sliding or tilting away partially. When it is out, the turntable is genuinely open — a wheel can be laid on, rotated by hand and inspected with nothing overhanging it. That is why swing-arm machines remain popular in shops where the same operator does everything themselves.
Will it work in your bay?

Power: 110V, 15 Amp, single phase. An ordinary shop circuit. That is genuinely useful — it means this machine can go into a workshop, a mobile setup or a home garage without an electrical installation project attached to it.

Air: 125 psi working pressure. The four clamps, the double-acting cylinders, the bead breaker and the seating jets are all pneumatic, so your compressor is part of this machine. Check the pressure it holds under sustained load and how quickly it recovers, not just the badge on the tank.

Space. Leave room for the arm to swing fully clear, room to roll a wheel in and lay it down, and standing room at the controls. The machine ships at 880 lbs, so also check the route to its final position and whether a pallet truck can get there.
Establishing the supply and the space is the buyer's job, and it is much cheaper done now than on delivery day.
The jets are in the jaws
Seating a bead is where tyre fitting most often turns into a fight, and many machines answer it with a separate blast tank and a nozzle you have to aim. This one puts bead seating inflation jets in the clamping jaws themselves. The air arrives around the rim from the points already holding it, rather than from one side, so the tyre is pushed out to the bead seat evenly. Fewer attempts, less of the tyre jumping about on the table, and less temptation to reach for the methods that make tyre fitting dangerous.
Four pneumatic clamps hold the rim and double-acting cylinders drive them, meaning the clamps are powered in both directions rather than being driven one way and sprung back. Clamping is predictable and releases cleanly, which matters when a rim is being freed from a wheel you would rather not mark.
Set up so the machine never touches the rim
The manufacturer is explicit about this one: correctly adjusted, the machine does not contact the rim. That is a design intention rather than a slogan — the head is set to run a controlled distance from the rim edge, and the whole geometry of a rim-clamp changer exists to keep the steel of the tool away from the finish of the wheel. On a customer's alloy, a scratch is a bill; on a set of expensive wheels it is a very large one. It also means the machine's setup procedure matters, so read the manual and set the head properly rather than inheriting whatever position it arrived in.
The air preparation is on board
A pressure regulator, an oiler and a water separator are standard equipment on this machine. Shops frequently overlook that on a spec sheet and then discover why it was there: untreated shop air carries water and grit, both of which shorten the life of every pneumatic component downstream, and a cylinder starved of oil stiffens long before it should. Having conditioning built into the machine means the protection is at the tool rather than depending on what somebody remembers to fit at the wall.

Check your own wheels against both clamp ranges rather than the headline diameter alone. Inside clamping grips from within the rim and gives the larger range; outside clamping grips the rim edge and is what you use on wheels that will not take the jaws inside. The two answer different problems and a machine is only as useful as the one that suits your work.
About certification
No independent third-party listing is claimed for this machine in the data Tuxedo supplies to us, and we are not going to imply one. The difference is worth stating rather than glossing over: a manufacturer declaring that a machine is built to a standard is not the same document as an outside body having examined and listed it, and insurers, corporate safety programmes and certain local jurisdictions require the second specifically. If any of those apply to your workshop, get the requirement in writing from whoever imposes it and send it to us before ordering, so we can answer it honestly rather than leave you to find out at inspection.
Shipping and delivery
Delivered by freight to the lower 48, quoted live at checkout for your address so the price reflects today's rates rather than a figure typed into a description months ago. You will need a way to take it off the truck — a forklift with the capacity, or a dock — or you can collect from the carrier's local terminal instead. A residential address carries a residential fee, disclosed before you pay.
Inspect the machine before you sign for it. Look over the banding, the tower, the arm and the pneumatic fittings, write anything you find on the delivery receipt before signing, photograph the shipment as it comes off the truck, and message us that day. Freight damage is a carrier matter and not a warranty matter, and a receipt signed clean is extremely hard to reopen. Unpack and check against the parts list promptly as well; the window for reporting concealed damage is short.
Warranty
The changer carries the manufacturer's limited warranty. The current terms, the exclusions and how to open a claim are published on our warranty claims page — we link them rather than restate them here, because the terms belong to Tuxedo and a paraphrase on a product page drifts out of date without anyone noticing. If a specific term matters to your decision, ask us to confirm it in writing before you order. If a fault appears, photograph it as found and speak to us before dismantling or modifying anything, because a component already taken apart is usually outside the claim.
