Description
-Katool Tire Changer KT810 & Wheel Balancer KT-B760 Combo
Katool KT810 and KT-B760: the pairing where the balancer is the upgrade
Tyre changers in this class are more alike than their spec sheets suggest. Balancers are not, and the KT-B760 is where this combination earns its place. Its pressure sensor sits on an all-in-one support with bottom and side boards both 8mm thick, and the shaft thread is 36mm, quenched for strength. Those two figures are the whole argument: a balancer's reading is only as honest as the structure holding the sensor, and a machine that flexes or wears at the shaft slowly starts reporting its own movement as wheel imbalance.
Alongside it, the KT810 changer covers the mounting and demounting side with a 2.0HP motor, carburization-treated jaws and a closed body. Together they make a wheel bay that a shop can run all day on ordinary single-phase power.
A note on the model name
This listing is titled KT810 while the machine's own feature list and specification table call it the KT-T810. It is the same wheel clamp tyre changer; the shortened form is how the product reached our catalogue. We would rather say so here than have you wonder whether two different machines are being described.
Why 8mm plates and a 36mm shaft matter more than a feature count
A wheel balancer measures forces in the order of grams while a spinning wheel tries to move everything it is attached to. Every bit of deflection between the wheel and the sensor becomes noise, and noise becomes a weight in the wrong place and a customer who comes back at motorway speed. Mounting the sensor on 8mm boards on both faces of an all-in-one support, rather than hanging it off a bracket, is the unglamorous way to keep the reading stable over years rather than months. The 36mm quenched shaft thread is the same reasoning applied where the wheel actually attaches, and the shaft is longer than usual, which is what lets the machine take wider wheels without a spacer stack.
The body under all of it is 3mm steel, welded rather than folded, and the control board is treated to be moisture-proof, dust-proof and antistatic — the three things that kill electronics in a tyre bay, in that order.
Calibration you can do yourself, in the units you think in
The KT-B760 carries a built-in fault diagnosis and self-calibration programme with double-side calibration, and it runs with no pre-set parameters, so an operator is not fighting factory assumptions about what a wheel should look like. Units switch between ounces and grams and between millimetres and inches. An automatic measurement ruler inputs the A and D values so nobody is typing offsets, multiple balance modes cover different rim styles, and a wheel guard is available as an option.
The KT810 changer
Maximum wheel diameter is 41"/1040mm and maximum width 15"/380mm, clamping from the outside between 12" and 22" and from the inside between 14" and 24". The alloy steel jaws take a carburization treatment 0.8 to 1.1mm deep with a full quenching process, so the gripping face is hard while the jaw stays tough, and jaw covers protect the rim. The mounting head is stainless, solution-treated and polished, with a plastic rim protector. A pedal-controlled inflation gauge keeps both hands on the tyre, and a high-quality filter and lubricator condition the incoming air, which is what actually decides how long a pneumatic system lasts. The motor is 2.0HP on 120V 1PH with pure copper windings, and the closed body keeps grit away from the mechanism.
Will It Fit?
- Power. The changer is listed at 120V 1PH and the balancer at 110V 1PH. Both are ordinary single-phase circuits; neither needs a three-phase supply.
- Air. Regulated compressed air at 0.8 to 1.0 MPa (116 to 145psi) for the changer. Size the compressor for the machine rather than hoping.
- Floor and weight. The changer is 186KG, listed elsewhere as 410 lbs. Level, solid floor, room to swing the arm, and a clear path to roll a wheel in from either side.
- Anchoring. Bolt the changer down. Bead breaking puts real force through the base.
- Wheel limits on the balancer. Rim diameter under 30", wheel width 3" to 12", wheel diameter under 880mm/34.64", rim centre hole under 135mm/5.31", wheel weight under 65KG/143 lbs. Check your largest wheel against all five, not just the diameter.
Perfect For
- Tyre shops that balance more than they change, where measurement stability is worth paying for.
- Wheel and performance retailers fitting wide rims, which is what the longer shaft is for.
- General repair shops building a wheel bay in one purchase rather than two.
- Workshops without a three-phase supply, since both machines run single-phase.

Certification, stated plainly
No certification mark or third-party listing is claimed for either machine in the data we hold, and we will not imply one by writing a badge into this page. For most tyre equipment that never matters. It starts to matter when an insurer, a local code, or a fleet or municipal contract names a specific listing the equipment has to carry. If that describes your situation, ask us before you order and we will request the current documentation from the manufacturer rather than guess at it here.
Shipping and delivery
Both machines move by freight truck to addresses in the lower 48 states. Freight is quoted live at checkout against the address you type in, so the number you see is a current carrier rate rather than an ageing estimate. They arrive crated on a standard trailer, and getting them onto the ground is the receiver's responsibility: a forklift, a machine, or a plan and some help. Where that is not available, collecting from the carrier's local terminal is normally the easier route, because the terminal already has the equipment. Delivery to a residential address carries a residential fee, applied at checkout when you select that option.
Inspect both crates before you sign. Look for crushed corners, punctures, shifted banding and anything visibly bent, and note whatever you find on the bill of lading while the driver is still on site. Photograph it. Once a clean delivery receipt is signed, the carrier holds evidence that the shipment arrived intact and a later claim becomes very difficult to win.
Warranty
Katool publishes a written warranty document covering this equipment. The terms are the manufacturer's to state and they change, so we have not paraphrased them here — ask us for the current copy before you order if the coverage matters to your decision. One rule applies whoever built the machine: if something fails, do not strip the mounting head, the pneumatic assembly or the balancer's shaft and sensor mount before a claim is open. A disassembled component is normally treated as a modified one, and that is the fastest way to lose coverage you would otherwise have had. Photograph the fault, record the serial number, and call first.
