-Description
-Katool KT-T800 and KT-B760: a whole wheel bay on one ordinary supply
The quiet advantage of this particular pairing is that both machines are listed at 110V 1PH. No three-phase drop, no transformer, no electrician's quote before the equipment can be switched on — a changer and a balancer that run off the kind of single-phase circuits a workshop already has. For a general repair shop adding tyre work, or a business fitting out a rented unit it does not own, that removes the one cost that is never in the equipment price.
What arrives is a complete wheel service corner: the KT-T800 wheel clamp changer for mounting and demounting, and the KT-B760 balancer to finish the job, sized so a technician can turn from one to the other with the wheel still in their hands.
The KT-T800: a swing arm and a bead blaster
The changer uses a swing-arm layout with a bead blaster. The swing arm matters in a small bay: the tower moves aside rather than tilting back into the space behind the machine, so the changer can live closer to a wall than a tilt-back design and still be worked from both sides. The bead blaster is what deals with tyres that will not seat off a normal inflation line.
Clamping runs 12" to 20" from the outside and 14" to 24" from the inside, with a maximum wheel diameter of 41"/1040mm and a maximum width of 15"/380mm. Read the clamping figures first — they, not the diameter, decide whether a given rim can actually be held. Behind them is a 2.0HP motor on 110V 1PH with pure copper windings, which is a heat decision rather than a power one: the motor is what fails first on a changer that runs all afternoon.
What keeps the rim unmarked
The jaws are alloy steel, carburization-treated 0.8 to 1.1mm deep and quenched throughout, so the face that grips is hard while the jaw body stays tough, and they carry covers. The mounting head is stainless steel, solution-treated and polished, with a plastic protector where it meets the rim, and a spade cover guards the rim edge as the tool passes. The pedal system is pull-type, so the machine's actions sit on your feet and your hands stay on the tyre — which is worth more on an expensive alloy wheel than any single component in the list.
A lubricator drops oil into the incoming air and a filter cleans it, and that pair does more for the service life of the pneumatics than anything you will do to the machine afterwards.
The KT-B760: built to be operated, not configured
Where the changer is about force, the balancer is about not making the technician think. An automatic measurement ruler inputs the A and D values, so nobody is typing offsets between wheels. There are no pre-set parameters to work around, which means an operator is not fighting factory assumptions about what a wheel should be. Built-in fault diagnosis and a self-calibration programme with double-side calibration let the machine be checked in-house instead of waiting on a service visit. Units switch between ounces and grams and between millimetres and inches, so it speaks whichever language your workshop already thinks in.
Physically it runs a 3mm steel body, 8mm boards under the all-in-one sensor support and a 36mm quenched shaft thread, and the shaft is longer than usual so wider wheels mount without a stack of spacers. A wheel guard is available as an option rather than supplied.
Its limits: rim diameter under 30", wheel width 3" to 12", wheel diameter under 880mm/34.64", rim centre hole under 135mm/5.31", wheel weight under 65KG/143 lbs, balancing at 180rpm.
Will It Fit?
- Power. Both machines are listed at 110V 1PH. Give each one its own circuit rather than sharing an extension lead with the compressor.
- Air. Regulated compressed air at 0.8 to 1.0 MPa (116 to 145psi) for the changer. Size the compressor to the machine.
- Floor and weight. The changer is 186KG, listed elsewhere as 410 lbs. Both machines want a level, solid floor and a clear path to roll a wheel in.
- Anchoring. Plan on bolting the changer down; a bead breaker puts real force into the base.
- Wheel limits. Check your largest wheel against every balancer figure above, not just the rim diameter. The centre hole and the wheel weight catch people out more often than the diameter does.
Perfect For
- General repair shops adding tyre service, especially in a building whose supply you would rather not touch.
- Independent tyre shops working on passenger cars, vans and light trucks.
- Mobile and satellite operations setting up a second location without an electrical project attached.
- Wheel retailers fitting wider rims, which is what the balancer's longer shaft is for.

Certification, stated plainly
Neither machine carries a certification mark or third-party listing in the data we hold, and we are not going to imply one by writing a badge into this page. For most tyre equipment purchases it never comes up. It does come up when an insurer, a local code, or a fleet or municipal contract names a specific listing your equipment has to carry. If that applies to you, ask us before ordering and we will request the current documentation from the manufacturer rather than guess at it here.
Shipping and delivery
Both machines ship by freight truck to addresses in the lower 48 states. Freight is quoted live at checkout against the address you enter, so the number you see is a current carrier rate rather than an estimate that has aged. They arrive crated on a standard trailer, and getting them down is the receiver's responsibility: a forklift, a machine, or a plan and some help. Where that is not practical, taking delivery at the carrier's local terminal is usually easier, because the terminal already has the equipment. Delivery to a residential address carries a residential fee, applied at checkout when you select that option.
Look both crates over before you sign anything. Check for crushed corners, punctures, shifted banding and anything visibly bent, and write whatever you find on the bill of lading with the driver still present. Photograph it. Once a clean delivery receipt is signed, the carrier has evidence the shipment arrived intact and a later claim becomes very hard to win.
Warranty
Katool publishes a written warranty document covering this equipment. We have not restated the terms here — they are the manufacturer's to state and they change, so ask us for the current copy before you order if the coverage matters to your decision. Whoever built the machine, one rule applies: if something fails, do not strip the mounting head, the pneumatic assembly or the balancer's shaft and sensor mount before a claim is open. A disassembled component is normally treated as a modified one, which is the fastest way to lose coverage you would otherwise have had. Photograph the fault, note the serial number, and call first.
