The Corghi Service Pro 426 is an electrohydraulic truck tire changer for commercial tire bays, fleet garages and bus operations — shops where a wheel is measured in feet and moved with equipment rather than arms. The detail worth leading with is what comes with the machine rather than what is bolted to it: alloy rim protections, rim pliers, a split rim lever and a bead lifting lever are supplied as part of the package.
That matters because a commercial fleet almost never runs one kind of wheel. A single yard can hold modern aluminium drive wheels, steel budds, and older multi-piece assemblies that need a dedicated lever to separate safely. A changer that handles only the first of those sends the rest of the work somewhere else, or invites an operator to improvise with a pry bar against a rim face. The 426 covers the range out of the box.
Will it fit your shop?
The machine occupies a footprint of 82" long by 71.6" deep and stands 48" high, so it sits under any normal commercial ceiling and does not need overhead clearance the way a lift does. Plan the surrounding space around the wheel, not the machine: a 59" assembly needs room to be rolled in, laid onto the chuck and rolled out again, and that working envelope is considerably larger than the machine's own outline.
The 426 weighs 1058 lbs (498 kg) empty, before you add a wheel assembly of up to 1543 lbs (700 kg) on the chuck. On a sound commercial slab that is unremarkable, but it is worth confirming before siting the machine on a mezzanine, over a service pit, or on a slab of unknown thickness.
Power is a 230V single-phase 60Hz supply. That is a real electrical requirement, not a preference, and no lower-voltage configuration of this machine is listed. If your bay does not already have a 230V circuit at the intended position, budget for an electrician before delivery.
Site preparation, the electrical supply, air where required, and anchoring or levelling are the customer's responsibility. Measure your own bay and confirm your own supply before ordering. The chuck: clamping range is the number that decides the job
The self-centring chuck clamps from 14" to 26", which is the span that covers the great majority of truck, bus and trailer rims in North American service. Equally important, and much more often overlooked, is the minimum centering hole diameter of 4.7" (120 mm). A chuck locates on that hole; a wheel whose centre bore is smaller than the machine's minimum cannot be mounted at all, no matter how well its outer diameter fits the specification. If you service anything unusual — agricultural, specialist trailer, older imported bus — check the bore before you check the diameter.
Chuck rotation runs at 6 rpm. A slow, deliberate turntable speed is the correct design choice on a machine this size: torque and control matter on a stiff commercial bead, and a fast turntable on a 1543 lb assembly is a hazard rather than a productivity gain.
Electrohydraulic operation, and why the manual assists are there
The 426 runs on an electrohydraulic system operating at 1885 psi. Hydraulics rather than pure pneumatics is the usual answer at this weight class, because a hydraulic circuit holds a steady, high force at low speed — exactly what breaking a stubborn commercial bead demands — where an air cylinder tends to deliver its force as a shove.
Alongside that, the machine uses a manual arm lifting system and a tool tipping mechanism. It is easy to read "manual" as a shortcoming; on a commercial changer it is usually the opposite. The operator retains direct feel for how the tool is sitting against the rim during the moment when rim damage actually happens, while the hydraulics supply the force. The alloy rim protections then take the contact that would otherwise land on an expensive polished wheel.

Shipping and delivery
This machine ships by freight to the contiguous United States. Freight is quoted live at checkout for your delivery address, so the figure you see is current rather than an estimate baked into a page.
You must be able to unload the shipment, or arrange to collect it from the carrier's terminal. This is a heavy, crated machine and the driver will not unload it for you — a forklift with adequate capacity, or terminal pickup, is the practical answer. Residential delivery is available and carries a residential fee.
Inspect the shipment before you sign. Walk around the crate, look for punctures, crushed corners, shifted banding and forklift damage, and note anything you find on the bill of lading before the driver leaves. A signed clean delivery receipt makes a damage claim very difficult to pursue; two minutes with a phone camera and a written note on the paperwork protects you.
Warranty
This machine is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Do not disassemble the machine before making a warranty claim. Stripping a hydraulic or electrical assembly to diagnose a fault yourself is the single most common reason a claim is denied. Call us first, describe the symptom, and let us open the claim with the serial number.
