CEMB SM825EVO / SM825EVOAIR Swing Arm Tire Changer
This listing covers two machines that are mechanically the same and powered differently. The SM825EVO runs on 110 V, 1 ph plus compressed air. The SM825EVOAIR runs on compressed air only — no electrical supply at the machine at all. That second option is the reason to read this page carefully: it puts a full swing-arm changer into a bay, a corner or a mobile setup where running power is awkward, expensive or simply not going to happen.
Two Machines, One Decision
Deciding between them is a building question, not a features question. If the spot you want the changer in already has a suitable outlet, the SM825EVO is the straightforward choice. If it does not — an outbuilding, a leased bay you cannot rewire, a service trailer — the SM825EVOAIR removes the electrician from the project entirely, provided your air supply is up to it.
Both are traditional swing-arm machines, the layout most technicians already know: the mount/demount head swings clear rather than travelling on a rail, so setting up on an unfamiliar wheel is quick. Both are aimed at mid-volume general service — the bulk of OEM fitments plus a good deal of custom work — rather than at a tire-only specialist.
The Air Tank Lives in the Tower
The reservoir for bead seating is built into the tower rather than bolted on as an accessory, and it feeds a dual-stage inflation system with a safety limiter, with the bead blaster jets built into the clamping jaws themselves.
That matters for a practical reason. Jets in the jaws direct the blast into the gap between bead and rim flange, right where the seal has to form, which is the hard part of seating a stubborn low-profile or run-flat tire. The same job with a hand-held blaster means a technician standing over an inflating tire holding a device — the situation every shop safety briefing is about. Building the reservoir and jets into the machine keeps the operator away from the wheel at the moment of seating, and the limiter on the inflation stage is a control on how much pressure can be delivered, not just a convenience.
Clamping, and One Figure to Confirm First
Clamping is by dual cylinders, which is what lets the jaws hold a rim squarely and repeatably rather than relying on one cylinder and a linkage. Squareness is what protects an alloy rim edge, and it is also what stops a wheel walking during demount.
Published figures for the clamping range differ at the low end. The feature list on this page states a clamping range of 13″–24″. The specification table on this page states rim diameter (outside) of 12″–24″. Both agree on 24″ at the top; they differ by an inch at the bottom, and they may well be describing two different measurements. If your work depends on the smallest rim this machine will hold — 12″ steel wheels on older compacts, trailers, or turf and utility equipment — call, text or chat with us and we will confirm the figure with CEMB before you order. Everything from 13″ upward is stated by both sources and is not in question.
The Bead Breaker
The bead breaker shovel is powerful and adjustable, and the adjustment is the part worth caring about. A fixed shovel meets every wheel at the same angle and depth, which is fine until it meets a wide alloy rim with a decorative lip — at which point it is contacting something expensive. An adjustable blade lets the operator set the approach for the wheel in front of them, so a difficult bead is broken with force applied where it does some good.
Will It Fit, and What Does It Need?
Capacity is 44″ (1118 mm) maximum tire diameter and 15″ (380 mm) maximum wheel width. The turntable runs at 8–15 rpm. Air pressure is listed at 145 psi (10 bar) — check that against your compressor and your line size before ordering, because an undersized supply is the single most common reason a bead blaster underperforms, and it is a problem in the shop rather than in the machine.
Electrically, the SM825EVO wants 110 V, 1 ph and the SM825EVOAIR wants nothing. Shipping weight is 630 lbs (286 kg). Allow enough clear floor for the arm to swing and for an operator to walk a 44″ tire onto the table without obstruction, and site it within reach of the air line rather than at the end of a long run of small-bore hose. Confirming the supply, the space and the delivery access route is the buyer's responsibility.

The press arm is an option, ordered as the SM825EVOPA, and is not part of this listing. If you regularly fight stiff sidewalls or run-flats, price it in at the same time rather than later.

Certification, Stated Plainly
Our data for this changer records that it is fully assembled and tested in the USA. It does not record an independent third-party safety or conformity assessment, and an in-house assembly and test step is not one — it is the manufacturer checking its own work, which is worth having and is a different thing.
It is worth raising here because tire changers inflate tires, and some insurers and employers' safety policies ask specifically about inflation-restraint and pressure-limiting arrangements. Send us the exact wording of any such requirement before you order and we will take it to CEMB.
Shipping and Delivery
The feature list on this listing states free shipping; whatever checkout shows for your address is what applies, and if the two disagree, tell us before you pay. Delivery is by freight within the lower 48 states.
Free or not, the crate still has to come off the trailer, and that part is the receiver's responsibility rather than the driver's. At 630 lbs (286 kg) a forklift or a dock makes it a two-minute job; without either, take terminal pickup and collect it with equipment that can lift it. Residential delivery is available and carries a residential fee, applied at checkout when you choose it.
Inspect the machine before you sign. Look at the tower, the arm and the pallet, photograph any damage, and write it onto the bill of lading in words — a clean signature says the shipment arrived intact and is hard to walk back later. Call, text or chat with us straight away if something is wrong.
Warranty
The manufacturer's warranty applies. We have not restated its term or scope here, because the warranty document supplied with the machine is what any claim is settled against and a summary on a product page is the sort of thing that quietly goes out of date.
