Tuxedo WB-953-B Wheel Balancer
Balancer accuracy is decided at the shaft, not at the screen. The WB-953-B is built on a 36 mm balancing shaft with a Speed-Nut and an integrated centering spring — a mounting stack designed so a wheel lands square and stays square, because a wheel mounted a fraction off centre will read as an imbalance that is not there and send an operator chasing weights that never fix anything. Everything else on this machine, from the two-operator memory to the shelf of weight pockets, is arranged around getting wheels on and off that shaft quickly and correctly.
The mounting system, in detail
A 36 mm shaft is a deliberately heavy-duty diameter. It resists deflection under an out-of-balance load, and it accepts the wide spread of cone and adaptor sizes needed to cover everything from a motorcycle rim to a light-truck alloy. The Speed-Nut is the piece that changes the day-to-day: a lead-in screw draws the nut onto the thread and clamps the wheel without you winding a nut down the whole length of the shaft. Over a shift that is minutes back per bay. The integrated centering spring sits behind the cone and holds the wheel concentric while you tighten, which is precisely the step operators rush when they are busy.
The machine measures to one gram. That resolution only means something if the mounting is repeatable, which is why the shaft and the Speed-Nut are the headline here rather than a number on a display.
Two operators, one machine
Multi-user operation lets two technicians work the balancer simultaneously with different settings held independently. In a two-bay shop this removes the small, constant friction of one tech re-entering rim data because the other tech changed it. Data entry is a touch-panel keypad with icon-marked keys, and distance and diameter are entered manually alongside a retractable measuring tool that stows back into the machine rather than living on a bench where it gets lost. Static, dynamic and three ALU weight modes are all standard, so alloy wheels needing tape weights behind the spokes are handled without a workaround.
Wheel range, and what will actually fit
Rim diameter capacity runs 10" to 24" and rim width 1.5" to 20" (up to 508 mm), with an overall wheel diameter limit of 39" (990 mm) and a wheel weight capacity of 150 lbs. The 24" rim figure (610 mm) is the one to check against your customer base — large-diameter alloys have moved up steadily and a shop that regularly sees oversized rims should confirm this range covers them before ordering.
Confirm the hood on this model before you order
Published descriptions of this model differ on the wheel guard, so both are set out here. The product title says “No Hood”; the manufacturer's feature list carried on this page describes a large 38" hood or shroud. If the presence or absence of a wheel guard affects your decision — and if your shop policy or your insurer requires one, it will — ask us to confirm in writing what ships with this exact model before you place the order. Will it fit your shop?
Power is a standard 110V, 15 amp, single-phase circuit — no high-voltage drop, no three-phase service. Confirm the branch circuit is a genuine 15-amp run.
The machine arrives at 305 lbs, so it needs a flat, level piece of floor and a plan for getting it there. Balancers are sensitive to a floor that flexes or a machine that rocks; a solid, level slab under all feet is worth more to your readings than any feature on this page. Siting, levelling and the electrical supply are the customer's responsibility.
Overhead space is the other question, and it is the one that depends on the hood answer above. Measure your intended spot for both height and the swing space around it, and settle the hood question with us first.

What comes with it
The published feature list describes the balancing shaft with Speed-Nut and centering spring, the keypad and integrated retractable measuring tool, the electronic braking system, a wheel weight shelf with 23 articulated pockets over 1.5" deep, and storage pegs on the side of the housing for cones and the caliper. Note carefully that a shelf and pegs for cones and a caliper is not the same statement as cones and a caliper being in the box. This model's data does not give a packing list, so please confirm the accessory kit with us in writing rather than assuming it.

Shipping and delivery
This balancer ships as freight to addresses in the lower 48 states, with the freight cost quoted live for your address at checkout instead of estimated. Plan the unload before you buy: you will need a forklift, a dock, or enough capable hands and equipment — or you can elect terminal pickup and collect it yourself. Deliveries to a residential address carry a residential fee, added at checkout when it applies. Warehouse pickup is available.
Inspect the crate at delivery, before you sign anything. Look for punctures, crushed corners and shifted or broken banding, and record whatever you find on the bill of lading while the driver is still there. A note on the BOL supports a claim; a clean signature undermines one.
