Ranger Motorcycle Wheel Balancer Clamp: a shaft as well as a clamp
Most motorcycle balancing adapters assume you already have the hardware to hold the wheel and only sell you the part that touches it. This kit does not. It ships with its own shaft, a universal wheel clamp, centring cones, spacers and a spin-on nut — a complete assembly that turns a Ranger car-wheel balancer into a machine that will balance a bike or ATV wheel properly, rather than one that can be persuaded to.
The practical consequence is that the wheel is located on a shaft sized for it and clamped from both sides, which is how you get a repeatable reading from a wheel that has no flat mounting face and no lug pattern to work with.
Will It Fit Your Balancer, and Your Wheels?

Machines: the kit is specified for the Ranger DST-2420 and DST-64T balancers, and more generally for Ranger balancers running a 36 mm shaft. Check your machine's shaft before ordering; if you are unsure, tell us the model and we will confirm it.

Centre-hole range: it is designed to balance wheels with a centre-hole diameter from 5/8" to 1.25". That span covers the great majority of motorcycle and ATV wheels, from small scooter and pit-bike wheels at the bottom end to cruiser and touring wheels at the top.

Hub width: it accommodates wheels with hub assemblies up to 9.5" wide — the measurement that decides whether a wide rear wheel with its bearing carrier and spacers still fits between the clamp faces.
Measure the hub assembly, not the tyre. It is the internal hardware that runs out of room first, and it is the check most people skip.
Why a centre-hole range matters more than a rim size
A car wheel is located by its centre bore or its studs and sits flat against the balancer's flange. A motorcycle wheel has neither of those references: it is a hub with a bore through it, and the only reliable way to centre it is on a shaft that passes through that bore with cones taking up the difference at each end. That is why this kit is specified by centre hole rather than by wheel diameter — a sport wheel and a tall trials front may share a bore size, and the bore is what the machine actually needs to know about.
The cones do the centring, the spacers set the wheel's position along the shaft so it clears the machine and sits where the sensors expect it, and the spin-on nut applies even clamping pressure without cocking the assembly. Get any one of those wrong and the balancer will confidently report an imbalance that is really a mounting error — and the weights you fit to correct it will make the wheel worse on the bike.
Speed on a job that is usually fiddly
Motorcycle wheels have a reputation for being slow to balance, and most of that reputation comes from improvised setups. With a purpose-made clamp the wheel goes on, the cones self-locate it, the nut goes down, and the machine spins. A shop that does this a few times a week gets the setup back in minutes rather than a quarter of an hour, which is what makes taking bike work worthwhile at a sensible labour rate.

Shipping and delivery
Delivery is to the lower 48 states, priced live at checkout for your address so the amount is current. Residential deliveries carry a residential fee, displayed before you pay. If you are near one of the pickup locations listed on this page, collecting is an option.
Give the box a look before signing for it. Damage written onto the carrier's paperwork at delivery is straightforward to put right; damage found after a clean signature is not. Photograph it and contact us the same day.
Warranty
Ranger's warranty document on this page governs any claim, and we would rather you read it than a summary of ours. One caution specific to this kit: do not machine a cone or spacer to fit a wheel outside the published range. A modified centring component looks like it works and quietly centres every wheel wrongly afterwards — and it will not be covered. If you have a wheel this kit will not take, describe it to us and we will find out whether the right hardware exists.
