Ranger Lug Bolt Flange Kit for Ranger Wheel Balancers
This kit centres the wheel on its bolt circle instead of its centre bore. That single change is the whole reason it exists, and it is worth understanding before you decide whether you need one. A standard cone locates the wheel by pushing into the centre bore — the hole in the middle. But most wheels do not actually locate on that hole when they are bolted to the vehicle; they locate on the studs and the flat mounting face. Balance a wheel on its centre bore, fit it to the hub on its bolt circle, and any difference between those two centres becomes a vibration that was never on the balancer's display.
A flange plate mounts the wheel the way the vehicle does. The result is a balance that holds when the wheel goes back on the car, which is the only place the balance actually matters.
When a cone is not enough
Most of the time a cone is fine, and nobody should replace their cones with this. The cases where it stops being fine are specific and recognisable:

The customer comes back. The wheel reads zero on the balancer and still vibrates on the road. This is the classic symptom of a wheel that balances on one centre and runs on another.

Lug-centric wheels. Some aftermarket and OEM wheels genuinely locate on the studs rather than on a hub pilot, and a cone has nothing meaningful to grip.

Damaged or oversized centre bores. A bore that has been corroded, machined out or knocked about gives a cone an unreliable seat.

High-value wheels where a second attempt is expensive and a comeback is worse.

The caliper is not an afterthought: the flange has to be set to the wheel's actual bolt circle, and measuring that accurately is what makes the whole method work.
