iDEAL UF-2500EH-X: it lifts the frame, so the wheels hang free

A bench lift is the wrong tool for half the jobs on a UTV. Once the machine is sitting on a solid platform, its own wheels are carrying it and its suspension is compressed — so wheels off, hub work, shock and A-arm work, brake and axle work are all either impossible or a fight. The UF-2500EH-X is the other design: a frame lift that picks the machine up under the chassis on four rubber pads and leaves the wheels dangling. Suspension hangs at full droop, wheels spin, and the entire underside is open.

It handles machines from the largest side-by-sides down to the smallest ATVs at 2,500 lbs (1,134 kg) capacity, starts at a 4.75" (121 mm) minimum height so it slides under a low frame rail, and raises to 43", or 49.25" with the adaptor fitted — 49" with the rubber lift pads, as the feature list puts it.

Contact points: four rubber pads, and where you put them

The machine's whole weight goes through four rubber contact lift pads, each 4.75" x 6.5". Rubber rather than steel is not a comfort feature: it protects powder-coated frame rails from being marked, and it grips, which is what stops a machine walking on the pads while you are pulling on a stuck fastener.

Pad placement is the skill this lift asks of you. You are choosing four points on a frame that were designed to hold the machine up, and getting them balanced front to rear matters more here than on a bench where the deck does the thinking. Check the manufacturer's recommended lift points for your machine before the first lift, not during it.

Locking heights, and what the numbers mean

The lift holds at three locking positions: 28", 36.5", and full height. Those are mechanical locks — the machine rests on steel, not on hydraulic pressure, which is the distinction that matters when someone's hands are underneath. In practice 28" is a comfortable seated working height, 36.5" puts most of an underside at chest level, and full height is for wheel and suspension work where you want the tyres clear of the floor by a margin.

Lifting and lowering each take about 25 seconds, driven from a fully operational control panel with an electro-magnetic lock release — the locks disengage under power rather than by a lever you have to hold and fight.

Will It Fit?

  • Width. Overall width is 24.8". That is the whole point of a frame lift: it occupies a strip of floor rather than a bay-sized rectangle, and you keep the room around the machine as working space.
  • Length. The platform is 67" long and 24" wide; overall length with the ramps runs from 67" to 89" depending on how the load-bearing hinged extensions are set.
  • Height. 4.75" down, 43" up, 49.25" with the adaptor. Add the height of your machine and check the total against your ceiling.
  • The control stand. The pedestal measures 15" x 11" x 39" and can sit up to 96" from the platform, so the controls do not have to be in the space you are working in.
  • Power. 110V, 60Hz, single phase — an ordinary shop socket, no installation work first.
  • Floor. Flat and sound. Nothing is anchored, and a narrow lift carrying a tall machine deserves a level surface.

Checking the space, the ceiling and the socket before ordering is the buyer's responsibility.

Construction and the pedestal stand

The platform and its extensions are heavy-duty diamond plate, and the extensions are load-bearing and hinged — they fold, and they are rated to carry weight rather than just to fill space, which is what lets the working length change with the machine. The pedestal control stand can be portable or mounted: bolt it down if the lift lives in one bay, or wheel it with the lift if it moves around the shop. A power unit cover with a storage bin keeps the hydraulics protected and gives the pads, adaptors and straps somewhere to live so they are not on the floor.

An optional wheel stand kit is available for the UF-2500EH-X if you want somewhere to put the wheels you have just taken off, which is the natural next purchase for a lift bought to do wheels-free work.

Perfect For

  • UTV and ATV suspension, hub, brake and axle work — the jobs a bench lift cannot do properly.
  • Powersport dealers and service shops wanting a lift that leaves the bay usable.
  • Race and off-road teams doing frequent wheel-off work under time pressure.
  • Small workshops where floor area is the constraint rather than budget.

What's in the Box

Per the manufacturer's feature list: the frame lift with its heavy-duty diamond plate platform and load-bearing hinged extensions, four rubber contact lift pads (4.75" x 6.5" each), the 110V electric/hydraulic power unit with its cover and storage bin, the fully operational control panel with electro-magnetic lock release, and the pedestal stand for portable or mounted use. The wheel stand kit is an option and is not included.

Certification, stated plainly

Our data for the UF-2500EH-X carries no record of an independent third-party safety listing, and rather than write around that we will state it. The difference is substantive: a manufacturer's own declaration that a machine complies with a standard is a different document from an independent North American lift safety listing issued by an outside body, and some insurers, fleet policies and local inspectors will accept only the second. If your shop is inspected or your cover names a standard, establish what is actually required, and ask us to confirm what this model carries before you commit.

Shipping and delivery

Freight to the lower 48, quoted live at checkout so the number is current rather than baked into the page. It ships crated and is not a two-person carry, so plan the unload first: a forklift or a pallet truck with a dock at the delivery address, or terminal pickup with a trailer. If the delivery address is residential, say so when you order — residential delivery carries a residential fee, and it is far better in the quote than as a surprise. Inspect before signing: check the crate for impact and puncture damage, count what has arrived, and write anything you find on the bill of lading. A signature on a clean bill is extremely difficult to unwind afterwards.

Warranty

The manufacturer's warranty applies to this lift and the current terms are published on our warranty claims page. No term length is reprinted in this description on purpose: the live page is the version that will be honoured. If something fails, do not disassemble it before the claim has been agreed — photograph the fault, photograph the serial plate, and contact us first, because a stripped assembly turns a simple replacement into a dispute over cause.
