-Description
-iDEAL A-2200IEH-XR: six lock heights, on a bench narrow enough for a real bay
Most lift benches give you two useful heights: down, and up. The A-2200IEH-XR has six locking positions between 7" and 47.2", which sounds like a detail and is actually the difference between the bench working for you and you working around the bench. Wheels off at one height, carburettor at another, a long job you would rather do seated at a third — and the machine is resting on a mechanical lock at each of them, not on hydraulic pressure.
The second thing worth knowing before anything else: it is the narrow bench in this family. The platform is 50" x 88.6" on an overall width of 58.5", sized for ATVs, motorcycles and small machines rather than for the widest side-by-sides. In a shop where a bay is measured in inches, that is what makes it installable. Capacity is 2,200 lbs.
Working height as a choice
Six lock positions change how you plan a job. A wheel-off repair wants the hub near your hands; anything involving the top of the engine wants the machine lower or you end up reaching over it; a task that will take two hours wants a height you can sit at. Being able to choose means fewer compromises and, honestly, fewer sore shoulders at the end of a week.
Movement is driven from a hand-held remote control pendant, so you position yourself where you can see what is happening rather than standing at a fixed box. A full cycle up or down takes about 30 seconds. The locks are released with a magnetic lock release — powered rather than a lever you wrestle with, which matters much more when there is a loaded machine on the deck than it does in a showroom.
Will It Fit?
- Width. Overall width is 58.5" and the platform is 50" wide. Measure the aisle you will push a machine down as well as the space the bench stands in.
- Length. The platform is 88.6" long and overall length with the ramp is 116-1/2". The ramp retracts, so the parked footprint is shorter than the loading footprint — plan for the longer one.
- Height range. 7" at rest, 47.2" at full lift. Add the height of the tallest machine you intend to put on it and check that against your ceiling and any lighting.
- Power. 110V, 60Hz, single phase, from an ordinary socket. No electrical installation is required before the bench can be used.
- Floor. Level and solid. It is not bolted down, so the surface underneath is part of the setup.
Confirming the space, the ceiling and the supply before ordering is the buyer's responsibility.
Loading, and keeping the machine where you put it
The ramp runs the full width of the bench and retracts. Two consequences: you drive or push straight on instead of aiming two wheels at a narrow strip, and when the job is done the ramp is not left occupying the floor in front of the bench. The 7" minimum height keeps the approach angle shallow, which matters for a low-slung machine or one with a long wheelbase.
Once it is up there, wheel stops and tie-down anchor eye bolts secure it, and a stabilizer bar holds the bench steady while you push and pull against a raised load. That last one is easy to overlook and very obvious when it is missing.
The rear panel, and turning the deck into a workstation
A rear drop-down service panel folds away at the back of the platform, opening access to the tail of the machine without moving it or unstrapping it. On an ATV that is the swingarm, the rear brake and the exhaust — the awkward end.
The deck is also drilled to accept an optional M-Vise or M-Chock. Neither is included, but the point is that this bench can be a permanent workstation with a vise mounted where you need it, rather than a lift you fetch a machine to and then walk away from to a separate bench.
Perfect For
- ATV and motorcycle service shops — this is the bench the platform size is drawn for.
- Powersport dealers with limited floor width per bay.
- Rural and estate workshops maintaining quads and small utility machines.
- Serious home workshops where a standard socket is the only supply available.

Certification, stated plainly
There is no record in our data of an independent third-party safety listing for the A-2200IEH-XR, and we are not going to phrase our way around that. It is a genuine distinction rather than paperwork trivia: a manufacturer stating that its own product meets a standard is not the same as an independent North American lift safety listing issued by an outside body, and certain insurers, fleet policies and local inspectors will accept only the latter. If that describes your situation, find out exactly what is being asked for and ask us to confirm what this model holds before you place the order.
Shipping and delivery
This bench moves as freight inside the lower 48 and the cost is calculated live at checkout, so it reflects current rates rather than a figure written into the page. It arrives crated and it is too heavy to handle by hand, so sort the unload out before it ships: a forklift or a pallet truck and a dock at the delivery address, or terminal pickup with a trailer if you have neither. Deliveries to a home address carry a residential fee — tell us in advance so the quote is right first time. When it arrives, inspect the crate before signing: packaging damage, the item count, anything crushed or punctured, all written onto the bill of lading. That note is the evidence any subsequent claim rests on.
Warranty
The manufacturer's warranty applies. The terms in force are published on our warranty claims page, and we deliberately do not reprint a term length here — the live page is what will be honoured, a number copied into a description is not. If a fault appears, contact us before you dismantle anything: a component taken apart before a claim has been agreed is very difficult to claim on. Photograph the fault and the serial plate first.
