Description
-BendPak RJ45W Rolling Bridge Jack
The RJ45W is the way into wheel-free service for shops and home garages running BendPak's smaller four-post lifts. Its easy-roll wheels are sized for standard four-post lift models rated 7,000 lbs of lifting capacity or greater — the lowest entry point in the rolling bridge jack range — and BendPak names the HD-7 Series, the HD-9 Series and the GP-9 Series as its suitable lifts. If you already own one of those, this is the accessory that turns it into a lift you can take wheels off on.
RJ45W or RJ45LP? Two specifications decide it
We sell two 4,500 lb rolling bridge jacks, and buyers reasonably ask what the difference is. It is not capacity, materials or the pump — they are the same jack in almost every respect. It comes down to two numbers.
The first is how low the jack sits before you drive over it: 4.5" for this model against 4.25" for the RJ45LP. The quarter of an inch sounds like nothing and matters exactly once — on a lowered or low-stance car whose clearance is already marginal. The second is how far the arms reach: 57" on the RJ45W against 61" on the RJ45LP. That extra reach is for wide frames. So the honest guidance is this: if you are servicing ordinary passenger cars and light trucks, the RJ45W is the right jack and its numbers are not limiting you. If your list runs to lowered cars, wide-bodied trucks, or both, look at the low-profile version before ordering.
Will it fit your lift and your shop?
The lift. Confirm your four-post lift is rated 7,000 lbs or greater and check the runway channel — the wheels are sized to sit on the channels, and that is the compatibility that matters, not brand. The support base then adjusts from 35.5" (902 mm) to 46.5" (1,181 mm) to span the runways.
The vehicle. Arm reach runs from a minimum of 42" (1,067 mm) out to a maximum of 57" (1,448 mm) on this model. Check that against the frames you actually lift rather than against a vehicle class.
Air, and a figure the sources disagree on. There is no electrical requirement — the jack's own air-hydraulic power unit runs independently of the lift, controlled by a foot pedal on the unit. It does need a compressed-air drop, and the two published figures do not match: the product information supplied with the jack asks for an air line at 125 psi and 10 - 20 CFM, while the specification sheet for the same model lists the air requirement as 125 PSI (10-25 CFM). Pressure agrees; flow does not. Size against the higher flow figure if your compressor is marginal, or ask us to confirm the requirement with the manufacturer before you order.
Height, under and over. Pad only, the jack drives over at 4.5" (114 mm) and lifts to 15.5" (394 mm). With the 2.75" adapter that becomes 7.25" (184 mm) to 18.25" (464 mm); with the 5.5" adapter, 10" (254 mm) to 21" (533 mm). Every inch of adapter you add underneath is an inch of ground clearance the vehicle has to have to get onto it, so use the smallest stack that reaches the lift point.
Checking your lift's rating, the runway channel and your compressor's real delivered flow before ordering is the buyer's job. Send us the lift model and we will confirm the pairing with you.
Rollers, and why plating is on the spec sheet
The rollers are hardened stainless steel, zinc plated — hardened so they do not deform under load, plated so the runway environment of brake dust, grit and spilled fluid does not corrode them into stiffness. The everyday consequence is that the jack slides where you push it, which is what makes precise positioning under a lift point a one-handed job rather than a wrestling match.
Pads that do not mark the customer's vehicle
Non-marring rubber contact pads are supplied with the jack. On a shop's own project car that is a nicety; on a customer's vehicle it is the difference between a routine service and a paint conversation. For trucks and SUVs, BendPak offers an optional frame cradle set, and it is worth having: a cradle distributes the load along the frame rail instead of concentrating it at a pad.
Stackable adapters and three lock positions
High-clearance vehicles put their lift points further from the runway than the pad alone can reach. The stackable adapter set bridges that gap so you spend adapter height rather than the jack's stroke getting there. Three lock positions then let you settle the vehicle at a working height that suits the job — and for maximum access, raise the four-post lift to its own height first, fit the adapters, then take the bridge jack to the top of its travel.
Perfect for
- Home and enthusiast garages with an HD-7, HD-9 or GP-9 four-post lift that need wheel service from it.
- Small independent shops where one four-post lift has to do storage, service and tyre work.
- Restoration and project work, where a car spends long periods in the air and needs wheels off for part of it.
- Anyone buying a four-post lift now — a pair of these is what makes that purchase a full service bay.
What is in the box

- An air-hydraulic power unit with foot-pedal control
- Rubber contact pads

Certification and compliance, stated honestly
The product data we hold for the RJ45W claims no third-party safety listing, and we do not claim one for it. Some insurers, fleet operators and local jurisdictions require equipment carrying a North American third-party safety listing — an independent test-house listing, which is a different document from a manufacturer's own declaration of conformity. If your insurer, your fleet policy or your local code sets that requirement, confirm what your paperwork asks for before you buy, and talk to us if you want help matching it to a product.
Shipping and delivery
A rolling bridge jack ships as freight to the lower 48 states, crated on a pallet. Unloading is the receiving end's job — a forklift, a dock and pallet jack, or a terminal collection you arrange instead. Delivery to a residential address is a different service from a commercial dock and carries a residential fee, quoted live at checkout rather than guessed at here.
Walk the pallet before you sign. Check the crate, the pump housing and the roller assemblies, and write any damage on the bill of lading in the driver's presence — a clean signed bill is the carrier's evidence that it arrived intact.
Warranty
The jack is covered by BendPak's published warranty document, which is what governs a claim; ask us for the current version before you order if the term matters to your decision. One condition is worth stating plainly: do not disassemble the pump, the cylinder or the lock mechanism before a claim is raised. An opened unit is usually outside the warranty by the time anyone looks at it, and the fault is exactly what the manufacturer needs to see intact.
