Description
-TC221 + WB11 Motorcycle Combo: the pairing that arrives ready for two wheels
On every other tyre changer in this range, motorcycle and ATV adapters are an accessory you buy separately and wait for. This package includes the motorcycle adapters needed to handle standard MC tyres, which is the entire reason it exists as its own SKU. If bikes and quads are part of what you work on — a powersports dealer, a rural shop, a home workshop with more than one hobby in it — this is the pairing that lets you start on day one instead of after another order.
The package is the Atlas TC221 rim-clamp swing-arm changer plus the WB11 computerised spin balancer. Both run on 110volt, both are CE approved, and both carry the 1 year parts only warranty.
Motorcycle and ATV wheels are a different job
They are not simply small car wheels. Rims are narrow, frequently soft cast alloy with a painted or polished finish, and the tyres often have far stiffer sidewalls in proportion to their size than anything on a car. Clamped wrong, a bike rim marks instantly. That is why adapters exist: they present the wheel to the turntable at the right height and grip it where it can be gripped, instead of asking car jaws to do something they were not shaped for.
The balancer side matters just as much and is often overlooked. A motorcycle wheel is light, so the imbalance you are chasing is small — and small imbalances are exactly where a cheap balancer stops being useful. The WB11 resolves to 1 gram of accuracy with a weight position resolution of 1.4 degrees, spins at 150 RPM, and takes wheels on a 40mm shaft up to a maximum wheel weight of 150 lbs. It handles rim sizes from 10" to 32" with rim widths from 1 1/2" to 20", so the same machine covers the bike and the car in the next bay.
One thing this changer does not have
We would rather be the ones to tell you. The TC221 does not carry the built-in Beadblaster that the TC229 in our other combination packages has. A Beadblaster dumps a large volume of air into a tyre at once to force both beads outward so an inflator can seat them, and it is the tool you reach for when a stiff or cold sidewall simply refuses to start seating. Without it you will occasionally be using a strap and patience on a difficult tyre. For motorcycle, ATV and ordinary car work that is a manageable trade; if your day is full of stiff-sidewall low-profile car tyres, look at the Beadblaster-equipped pairing instead. Everything else about the changer — the clamping range, the turntable, the bead breaker force — is the same machine.
The changer, in detail
Air-operated jaws and bead breaker, electric turntable, and a metal mount/demount head with a metal roller or replaceable plastic inserts. The jaws move to three mounting positions along the turntable slide, giving external clamping of 9 3/4" to 21 5/8", 10 3/4" to 22 1/2" or 11 5/8" to 23 1/4", and internal clamping of 11 5/8" to 23 1/4", 12 5/8" to 24 1/4" or 13 1/2" to 25 1/4". It takes steel, aluminium and alloy rims to a maximum tyre diameter of 39" and a maximum wheel width at the bead breaker of 13". The turntable produces 885 ft/lbs of rotating torque from a 1 HP motor; the bead breaker develops 5,500 LB of force.
Air, power and floor
- Air is required and not supplied. The jaws and breaker need 90-110 PSI and must not exceed 140 PSI. A compressor that cannot hold that under load will make the changer feel weak — check yours first.
- Power is 110volt for both machines. No special supply, no three-phase.
- No anchoring. The balancer needs no anchor-down installation, so nothing in this package has to be drilled into your floor.
Confirming your air supply and the floor space to work around both machines is the buyer's job, and it is worth doing with a tape and a pressure gauge before ordering rather than after.
Perfect For
- Motorcycle and ATV dealers, who get the adapters in the crate rather than on a second order.
- Powersports and rural workshops covering bikes, quads and the family car on one pair of machines.
- Homeowners with a bike habit and enough space to do the job properly.
- Small commercial shops wanting two-wheel capability without a dedicated motorcycle machine.

Certification, honestly
Both machines are CE approved and that is the claim we will make for them. CE is a manufacturer's declaration of conformity with the relevant European directives — a genuine statement about design and documentation, but a self-declaration rather than an independent audit. It is not the same instrument as a North American third-party listing, where an outside body tests the equipment against a published standard and inspects the factory on a continuing basis. Certain insurance policies, fleet rules and local jurisdictions require that second kind of listing on workshop machinery. If that is your situation, get the requirement in writing from whoever is imposing it before you order, and let us know what it says.
Shipping and delivery
Two crated machines, shipped freight to the lower 48 and delivered curbside. Unloading is yours to arrange, and because this is a two-crate shipment you want to plan it properly: a forklift, or a loading dock and pallet truck, or a terminal pickup collected with your own equipment. Warehouse pickup is available from the locations named lower on this page, and a call before ordering usually saves a difficult delivery day. A residential address carries an additional delivery fee, charged once per brand on the order. Inspect both crates while the driver waits — turntable, column, breaker blade, balancer shaft and hood — and note anything at all on the bill of lading before signing.
Warranty
1 year parts only on both machines: the parts are covered, the labour to fit them is not, which is worth allowing for if you will be paying someone else to do it. Nothing should be taken apart before a claim is opened, as disassembly is generally treated as your own inspection and can bring the claim to an end. Stop using the machine, photograph the failure in place, and start the claim through our warranty claims page.
