-Ranger RCD-1500 GoCart Storage Stand / Stores Four Units / Fits RCD-1500 / RCD-1500EX Models
Ranger RCD-1500 GoCart Storage Stand: Four Dollies, One Rolling Unit
The detail that makes this stand worth having is in the spec table rather than the sales copy: it runs on 4" (102 mm) casters and it stows to 21" x 24" (533 mm x 610 mm). This is not a rack you bolt to a wall and walk away from. It is a mobile fixture, and that changes what it does for a shop.
Car dollies are the definition of a tool that is indispensable in use and a nuisance the rest of the time. Four of them loose in a bay slide under benches, get kicked across the floor, collect grinding dust and turn up scattered across three bays when a non-runner arrives on a truck. The RCD-1500 stand gives each one a slot, holds all four together, and then rolls — so the set arrives at the car rather than being fetched one at a time.
Rolling is the feature, not a convenience
Think about how a dolly set is actually used. A vehicle that will not roll comes in, and four dollies must be positioned at four corners, one at a time, usually while somebody holds a jack. With a rolling stand, all four travel to the vehicle in a single trip, and they leave the same way. On the return leg — the one that gets skipped in every shop on earth when the tool is awkward — the stand is right there, so the dollies actually get put away instead of being left where the car was.
That is also why the stowed size matters. At 21" x 24" (533 mm x 610 mm) the stand parks in the gap between a bench end and a wall, or in the dead corner behind a lift column, rather than occupying floor that could hold work.
Load rating and what fits
The stand carries a load rating of 200 lbs. (91 kg) and a tire diameter capacity of 15" to 28" (381 mm to 711 mm). Those two figures answer different questions and both are worth checking before ordering.
The load rating is the figure for the stand as a whole with its four dollies aboard — a total, not a per-slot allowance, and we are not going to divide it into a per-dolly number that Ranger has not published. The tire diameter capacity is the window your dollies must fall inside: it describes what the GoCart dollies themselves are set up to carry, and the stand is specified for RCD-1500 and RCD-1500EX models. If your dollies are a different generation or a different make, ask us before ordering rather than after; the slots are made to a particular dolly, and near enough is not the same as fits.
Assembled size, carton size, and what that tells you
Assembled, the stand measures 19" x 31" x 9" (482 mm x 787 mm x 228 mm). It ships in a carton of 33" x 6" x 4" (838 mm x 152 mm x 101 mm) at 22 lbs. (9.9 kg). Those two shapes cannot both describe a built stand, so plan for assembly on arrival — a flat-pack of steel tube and fixings, not a finished fixture lifted out of a box. It is not a long job, but it is a job, and it is better known before the truck arrives than discovered on the workshop floor.
The 22 lbs. (9.9 kg) shipping weight is worth noting for a different reason: the stand is light enough for one person to move empty and reposition without help, which is what makes the rolling design usable rather than theoretical.
Perfect for
- Body shops and collision work, where non-runners are moved daily and dollies are in constant circulation.
- Restoration garages — projects that get shuffled around a building for months at a time.
- Dealership and fleet workshops handling vehicles that arrive without a working drivetrain.
- Storage and display — a vehicle parked on dollies can be repositioned by hand, and the stand keeps the set together between moves.
- Any shop short on floor space, which is nearly all of them.
What is in the box
The storage stand, supplied for assembly, sized to hold four GoCart dollies. Ranger publishes the dimensions and the load rating for this item rather than a component-level packing list, so we are not going to itemise fixings or name a tool as required when the data does not. The dollies themselves are separate products — this is the stand only.

Certification, stated plainly
No independent third-party listing is claimed for this stand in the data we hold, and we will not imply one. It is storage equipment rather than a lifting device, so the question arises less often here than it does on a lift — but the rule we apply is constant across the catalogue: a listing that the manufacturer's data does not claim does not appear on our page. If a workplace policy of yours requires listed storage equipment, check the wording and ask us before ordering.
Shipping and delivery
Delivery covers the contiguous United States, the lower 48. The carrier and the price are worked out live at checkout against your address, so nothing here can go stale. Given the carton size and weight this normally moves as a parcel rather than palletised freight; if it does arrive by freight, inspect it while the driver waits and write any damage on the bill of lading before signing, because a clean signature is very hard to argue with later. Residential delivery differs from commercial-dock delivery and carries a residential fee where it applies. Warehouse collection is available at the locations listed further down this page.
Warranty
The applicable coverage is Ranger's published warranty document for its product line; we hold the document rather than a summary, so no term is quoted here. Ask us for the current copy before ordering if it matters to your decision. One practical note that applies whatever the terms: assemble the stand with the fixings supplied and to the supplied instructions, and do not modify the frame — cutting or drilling a welded steel structure to make it hold a fifth dolly, or a dolly it was not built for, both voids coverage and removes any basis for the load rating printed above.
