-Description
-Triumph NOS10000: a 4.75 inch post inside a 6.5 inch collar
The initials in this model's name are the design, and the design is measurable. NOS stands for the outside-slider layout: the carriage slides on the outside of the column rather than inside it. What makes that more than a marketing line is the pair of numbers behind it — the posts are 4.75 by 4.75 inches, and the slide collars that ride on them are 6.5 by 6.5 inches. A collar that wraps a post with that much overlap resists the twisting load a four-post takes when a heavy vehicle is loaded off-centre, and it is the reason this lift feels rigid rather than merely strong.
Around that sit boxed runway tracks, a 10,000 lb capacity, and a lift that is meant for both service work and long-term storage. It is the heavy end of Triumph's four-post range, and at 2,535 lbs it is a serious piece of equipment before a vehicle is anywhere near it.
Current offer: a free Chicago Pneumatic CP WallAIR 1.5 HP wall-mount air compressor with hose reel and inflation kit is included with this lift while supplies last. The option to add the compressor appears at checkout.
Will It Fit?
These measurements are the buyer's to take, and taking them badly is the most expensive error in this category.
- Ceiling. The lift stands 99.5 inches overall. The figure that decides your roof, though, is the height of your vehicle plus the 87 inches of lift height at the top of the runway.
- Length. 210.5 inches overall, with runways 204 inches long. Measure the bay end to end, and remember you have to walk past it.
- Width. 123 inches overall, with 109 inches of drive-through clearance. Drive-through is the hard number: it is what a vehicle has to pass between, and it is a stricter test than the capacity will ever be.
- Runways. 20 inches wide. Check that against the tyre width of the vehicles you intend to put on it.
- Driving on. Lowered height is 5.5 inches, so a low front lip is worth checking against the approach ramps before you order rather than after.
- Power and floor. The power unit runs on 110 volts. Floor requirements come from the manufacturer's manual — this listing publishes no concrete specification, and we will not guess one on your behalf.
Ramps a single person can move
The approach ramps are aluminium, 36 inches long, and weigh 29 lbs each. That is the kind of detail nobody writes a headline about and everybody notices. Steel ramps of that length are a two-hand, straight-back, do-not-drop-it proposition, and on a lift that gets repositioned or set up by one person they are the part of the job that hurts. At 29 lbs a ramp is carried in one hand.
The same thinking runs through the rest of the accessory package: drip trays to stop fluid from an upper vehicle reaching the one parked below, a rolling jack tray so one end of a vehicle can be lifted clear of the runway for wheel and brake work, and cable keepers that hold the cables in their sheaves and stop run-off — a small part that prevents a genuinely annoying failure.
Two locking systems, and why manual deadbolts are not a step backwards
The primary locks are manual deadbolts with an oversized release linkage. Oversized is the operative word: a big linkage means the release takes a firm, deliberate movement rather than a hopeful nudge, which is what you want from the control that drops ten thousand pounds. Behind that sits a secondary redundant safety system, so the lift is not relying on one mechanism to hold a load.
The base plates measure 12 by 12 inches, the lock release is single point, and full travel takes about 60 seconds. Boxed tracks add the rigidity the outside-slider columns start with, so the whole structure works as one piece rather than as four posts that happen to be joined.
Perfect For
- Professional shops running trucks, vans and SUVs where 10,000 lbs is the working range rather than the limit.
- Serious home garages that want a lift built like shop equipment and are prepared to give it the ceiling.
- Collectors and long-term storage, where a redundant safety system matters because the vehicle stays up for months.
- One-person operations — the 29 lb aluminium ramps and the caster kit are both aimed at exactly that.

Certification, stated plainly
No third-party safety listing appears in the product data we hold for this lift, and we are not going to imply one. For a private buyer that generally never becomes an issue. It becomes one where an insurer, an employer's policy, a fleet contract or a local jurisdiction requires a named listing before a lift can be used commercially. Establish that before the crate is on your floor — ask us, and we will request the manufacturer's current documentation in writing.
Shipping and delivery
This lift ships by freight to the lower 48 states, and at 2,535 lbs it is one of the heavier items in the range. The rate is quoted live at checkout against your own address rather than printed here, because carrier pricing moves. Unloading is the receiver's responsibility once the trailer arrives: a forklift, a machine of adequate capacity, or a collection from the carrier's local terminal. For a home address the terminal option is usually easier, because the terminal already owns the equipment to lift a crate this heavy.
Inspect it before you sign. Bent steel, crushed corners, torn packaging, shifted banding — all of it goes on the bill of lading in front of the driver, with photographs taken while the crate is still on the truck. A clean signature is the carrier's evidence that the shipment arrived undamaged, and reversing that later is very hard.
Warranty
Ask us for the manufacturer's current warranty document before you order if the terms will influence your decision — we would rather send the paperwork than summarise it. And the rule that applies to every hydraulic lift regardless of who built it: if something fails, do not take the power unit, a cylinder or a lock assembly apart before the claim is open. A disassembled component is normally treated as a modified one, and cover goes with it. Photograph the fault, note the serial number, and call us first.
