Description
-QuickJack BL-3500SLX Portable Car Lift
The BL-3500SLX is the track model. QuickJack lists it with an open-center design, zero-leak fittings and extended block trays, and each of those three is a paddock feature rather than a garage one: nothing in the middle of the car to work around, no weeping unions to drip on a hot surface or a trailer floor, and enough tray length to place blocks where a race car's jack points actually are. Capacity is 3,500 lbs (1,588 kg) on frames of 62.5" (1,588 mm) weighing 60 lbs (27 kg) each — light enough to load into a trailer at the end of a session without a second pair of hands.
It is built for the person running a lightweight car in a place where the lift has to travel: track days, club events, autocross paddocks, and the home garage of someone who owns a low sports car and no slab to bolt to.
Will It Fit?
Ground clearance. Each frame is 3" (76 mm) tall fully collapsed, or 3.5" (89 mm) once a 2" block sits in the tray. On a lowered or aero-equipped car that number is the whole decision, and it is worth measuring under the sill rather than guessing.
Lift point spread. The distance between the front and rear lifting blocks adjusts from 27" (686 mm) to 50.5" (1,283 mm). Measure between your car's front and rear jack points and confirm the figure falls inside that window before ordering — the check is the customer's responsibility, and a car whose jack points sit further apart than 50.5" (1,283 mm) needs a longer-framed model.
Working height, and its hard ceiling. Read this part carefully, because it is where the SLX genuinely differs. Maximum lifting height is 21" (533 mm), and the manufacturer's own specification lists the adapter and adapter-plus-pin configurations as not compatible with this model. On other frames in the range those accessories add height; here they do not, so 21" (533 mm) is the ceiling and there is no upgrade path to more. Beneath that, the ladder is 16.5" (419 mm) frame only, 17.5" (445 mm) with a 2" block and 18.5" (470 mm) with a 3" block. If you need to sit up under the car rather than lie under it, this is the model to rule out.
Floor space. Each frame is 10.5" (267 mm) wide and 62.5" (1,588 mm) long, and both must sit on flat, sound, level ground — a paddock surface is not always either. The power unit's electrical requirement is in the owner's manual linked on this page; check it against the supply you will actually have at the circuit or generator you plan to use.
What an open center actually buys you
A scissor frame that carries its mechanism inboard leaves a structure sitting under the middle of the car. On a road car that is an annoyance. On a race car it is the exhaust, the diffuser mounts, the fuel lines and the underbody panels — the parts you are most likely to be working on between sessions, and the ones you are least able to reach around. The open-center layout keeps that span clear, so the whole underside is available from the moment the car is up.
The zero-leak fittings are the same kind of practical detail. A hydraulic system that seeps is a permanent nuisance in a garage and a genuine problem on a trailer floor, on paint, or on a surface someone is about to walk across in the dark. Sealed fittings are what make a lift you transport tolerable to own.
Locks and lift time
Automatic safety locks engage as the frames rise, so once you are at a lock position the car is held mechanically rather than by hydraulic pressure alone. Full rise takes about 30 seconds. The power unit weighs 30 lbs (13 kg), and the frames are 60 lbs (27 kg) each, which is what makes one-person setup and pack-down realistic at the end of a long day.
Perfect For
- Track days and club racing. The open-center design and 60 lbs (27 kg) frames are exactly the combination a paddock needs.
- Low sports cars. 3" (76 mm) collapsed height, with an extended tray to reach awkward jack points.
- Trailer and van use. Zero-leak fittings matter far more when the lift travels than when it lives on a garage floor.
- Light home-garage work. Provided the 21" (533 mm) height ceiling suits how you like to work.
What's in the Box
Our data describes the system as a pair of frames plus a power unit — frame dimensions are quoted per frame, shipping weight is quoted per frame at 64 lbs (29 kg), and the power unit is weighed separately at 30 lbs (13 kg). The features listed as supplied are the open-center design, the zero-leak fittings and the extended block trays. Adapters and pins are explicitly listed as not compatible with this model, so do not budget for them; which blocks arrive in the carton is not stated in our data, so we have not claimed them either.

Certification, stated honestly
Our product data for the BL-3500SLX records no third-party safety listing, and we will not imply one. Some insurers, event organisers, fleet policies and local authorities require a vehicle lift used commercially — or used in a paddock under an organiser's rules — to carry a recognised North American third-party lift safety listing, meaning testing and listing by an independent body rather than a statement made by the manufacturer about its own product. If you intend to use this lift at an organised event or in a business, check the requirement before you buy rather than at the gate. For private use in a home garage it usually does not arise.
Shipping and Delivery
Shipped as freight within the lower 48 states, with the cost quoted live at checkout against your delivery address rather than estimated on this page. You must be able to unload the shipment yourself or collect it from the carrier's terminal; delivery to a residential address carries a residential fee, which is shown at checkout when it applies. Inspect the shipment before signing and note any damage on the bill of lading at the point of delivery — a clean signature is very hard to reopen later, and photographs taken while the driver is still on site settle most disputes quickly.
Warranty
Our product data does not state a warranty term for this model, so we are not quoting one; the current terms are published on our warranty claims page. Regardless of the term, do not disassemble a cylinder, power unit or lock assembly before a claim has been opened and assessed — a stripped component is routinely treated as an unverifiable fault and can end a claim that would otherwise have been honoured. Photograph the fault, leave the parts alone, and speak to us first.
