-iDeal RAJ-7K-L: the air supply is the specification to check first
A rolling bridge jack is one of the few pieces of shop equipment that can be bought correctly and still fail on the first day, and the reason is almost never the jack. The RAJ-7K-L is rated at 7,000 lbs and runs pneumatic over hydraulic — shop air drives the hydraulic side — and iDEAL's published requirement is 125 PSI at 20 CFM. That CFM figure is the one to take seriously. Plenty of garages hold 125 PSI comfortably and cannot deliver 20 CFM for more than a few seconds, and a jack starved of volume raises slowly, unevenly, or not to its top lock.
The second thing to settle before ordering is the letter at the end of the model number. L is the low-mount build. Its roller body assemblies mount low on the jack so the unit sits correctly on higher runway jack rails, and the low-mount roller bodies carry 3" of height adjustment to fine-tune the fit. Order the wrong variant and the jack will not track on your rails properly — it is not a preference, it is a fitment.
Will It Fit?
- Your compressor. 125 PSI at 20 CFM. Check the delivery figure on your compressor's plate, not the tank pressure on the gauge.
- Your rails. This is the low-mount model, intended for the higher rail positions found on many four-post and scissor lifts. Measure your rail height and spacing, and if you are unsure which of the two builds you need, send us the make and model of your lift and we will read it for you.
- Your lift's capacity. A 7,000 lbs jack sitting on a lift means the lift is carrying the jack and the load. Confirm your lift's rating covers both.
- Handling. Ship weight is 330 lbs. Note that this is the shipping figure, crate included; the jack's own weight sitting on your rails is lower and we do not publish it — ask if that distinction matters to your rail loading.
Matching a bridge jack to a lift is the customer's responsibility, and the one we most want you to ask us about before you order rather than after.
What the roller bodies actually do
The jack rides the top edge of the jack rails on dual-precision roller bearing guide wheels, and the roller body assemblies are spring loaded so they lift clear when the jack is not under load. Sliding a heavy jack along a rail is what wears rails and wheels; rolling it on bearings that unload themselves is what keeps a jack moving freely years in. The roller bodies are also adjustable for height, which is what lets one model cover a range of rail heights instead of one exact lift.
Locking, arms and adapters
Two locking height positions mean the jack holds mechanically at its working heights rather than resting on air alone. The support arms adjust for width and lock, the lifting arms adjust across their own range, and rubber pad adapters are supplied as a set of two so the contact points sit on rubber and not on bare steel. Protective scissor skirts cover the mechanism — ordinary shop debris in a scissor linkage is a maintenance problem you only have once.
Perfect For
- Tyre and brake shops running four-post lifts that need wheels off the runway quickly.
- General service bays where a four-post does storage and alignment duty and needs to become a wheels-free lift on demand.
- Suspension and driveline work that needs the axle unloaded rather than the whole car in the air.
- Home and collector garages with a four-post already installed and a compressor sized for real air tools.
What's in the Box
Per this product's feature list: the jack with its adjustable-height roller body assemblies, dual-precision roller bearing guide wheels, adjustable width locking support arms, protective scissor skirts, and rubber pad adapters as a set of two. The air line, fittings and compressor are yours. If you need the shipping contents confirmed before ordering, ask and we will get the packing list.

Two things this page is missing, and we would rather say so
First, there is no manual or brochure download attached to this listing, although our other iDEAL lift pages carry one. If you want the manual before you commit — and on a jack that has to match your rails, you should — ask us and we will email it.
Second, we publish no warranty term for this jack, only the route for making a claim. The terms published elsewhere for this line come from the distributor rather than from us, and they carry exclusions worth reading in advance: wear parts, on-site labour, and the buyer paying shipping on a claim. We will confirm the current term and its exclusions in writing before you order — just ask.
On safety listings, stated plainly
No independent third-party safety listing is claimed in the data published for this jack. A manufacturer's own declaration and an independent listing are not the same document, and it is usually the second one an insurer, a fleet policy or a local inspector wants to see. If that applies to your shop, get the answer in writing before the crate is on a truck.
Shipping and delivery
Freight is quoted live at checkout for the lower 48. At 330 lbs this ships on a freight carrier, which means three things in practice: you need to be able to unload it, or arrange to collect from the carrier's terminal; a residential address adds a residential fee, applied once; and damage has to be written on the delivery receipt before you sign it. A clean signature is treated as confirmation that the shipment arrived intact.
Warranty
As above, the term is not something we will state until it is confirmed with iDEAL in writing for your order. What does not change is the claims discipline: leave a suspect cylinder, valve or roller body assembled until a claim is open. Air-over-hydraulic faults are usually diagnosed from the intact unit, and a part already stripped on a bench is a part nobody can assess.
