Description

74.4 in. long, and none of it above the floor

The BendPak P-9000LTF is the flush-mount member of this low-rise family, and the number that explains it is the overall length: 74.4 in. (1,890 mm). There are no approach ramps in that figure because there are no approach ramps — the lift is recessed into the concrete for a drive-over installation, so when it is down there is nothing standing proud of the floor, nothing to steer around with a parts trolley, and nothing to trip over in a bay that is doing something else. A surface-mounted low-rise lift with ramps needs a long strip of floor permanently dedicated to it. This one gives the floor back.

Capacity is 9,000 lbs. (4,082 kg), which puts high-stance trucks and SUVs within reach with the optional arm extension kit and truck adapter set, and the geometry is open-centre and frame-engaging, so the wheels stay free while the vehicle is up.

The maintenance schedule is a 50 psi air charge

The safety locks are released by air cylinder rather than by the older spring arrangement, and this is a stronger argument on a flush-mounted lift than on any other kind. A recessed lift spends most of its life below floor level with the mechanism out of sight; a spring release that needs periodic attention is a spring release that will be inspected rarely, because you have to raise a vehicle to look at it properly. Air cylinders do not have that maintenance requirement. BendPak's own copy for this lift puts the whole regime at a simple 50 psi charge every once in a while, and a single button press releases all the locks and brings the vehicle down under control.

Will It Fit?

Flush mounting means the excavation is part of the purchase, so measure before you commit rather than after the concrete saw is hired.

  • Overall length. 74.4 in. (1,890 mm) — the whole footprint, with no ramp allowance to add.
  • Platform. 58.5 in. (1,484 mm) long by 24 in. (610 mm) wide.
  • Fully lowered. 4 in. (102 mm) as a surface unit; flush-mounted, it sits level with the concrete.
  • Lifting height. 24 in. (610 mm), or 27 in. (686 mm) with the rubber lift blocks fitted. The blocks are not just protection, they are height.
  • Lock heights. 15 in. (381 mm), 19 in. (483 mm), 21.5 in. (546 mm) and 23.5 in. (597 mm), then full rise at 24 in. (610 mm).
  • Power. 1.5 HP, 208-230 VAC, 60 Hz, 1 Ph. Lifting time is 55 seconds.

The recess, the floor around it, drainage and the electrical supply are the buyer's responsibility to plan and confirm. Our record states no concrete thickness or strength requirement for this model, and a flush installation cuts into the slab you are relying on, which makes the question more important here than on a surface lift, not less. The installation manual linked on this page carries the requirement; ask us and we will confirm it in writing before you order.

Reinforced where a low-rise lift actually gets hurt

The failure mode people expect on a low-rise lift is the ends. The one that does the damage is inboard loading — weight applied toward the middle of the platform rather than out at the extremities, which is exactly what happens when a vehicle's lift points sit close together or an operator has judged the placement generously. Both the parallel lifting arms and the upper lift platform on this model are specifically reinforced for that case. The frames are wide, the pad surface is rubber-topped for quick setup, and the power unit is a dual-pump design with a built-in proportioning valve so both sides rise together rather than one chasing the other.

Getting under a long-wheelbase vehicle

Rubber blocks handle most cars, and BendPak includes them rather than charging for them. Trucks, SUVs and other long-wheelbase vehicles are where a low-rise lift can run out of options, and that is what the optional arm set exists for: offset lifting points and extra height, so a vehicle with an awkward lift-point spread still clears the lift structure. If your work is mostly high-stance vehicles, price the arm kit into the decision at the outset rather than discovering the gap later.

Perfect For

  • Busy shops with tight floors, where a permanent surface obstruction costs more than the lift does.
  • Pit and fast-lube conversions, adding wheel and brake service to a bay built for oil changes.
  • Showroom-adjacent and customer-facing bays that need to look clear when the lift is not in use.
  • Home garages that double as usable space, where a recessed lift leaves the floor free for everything else.

What's in the Box

Taken only from this product's own feature list: the lift with reinforced parallel lifting arms and reinforced upper platform, the dual-pump power unit with built-in proportioning valve, the 1.5 HP electric-hydraulic drive, automatic multi-position safety locks with air release, electronic push-button controls, a durable rubber-topped pad surface and rubber lift blocks. The copy also states that detailed instructions, safety decals and stick-on labels are supplied, and that replacement labels can be obtained from BendPak directly. Listed as optional and not assumed to be included: the adjustable lifting arms, the arm extension kit, the truck adapter set and the detachable extended approach ramps that convert this lift to surface use. Anchors and anything not named here should not be assumed to be in the crate.

Certification, stated honestly

This product's data makes no third-party safety certification claim, and we are not going to invent one for it. That is a statement about what we hold, not a finding that none exists. The distinction worth understanding is between a manufacturer declaring that its own design conforms to a standard, and an independent laboratory listing a named model against the North American lift safety standard — the two are spoken of as if they were interchangeable and they are not. Insurers, fleet contracts and some local jurisdictions require the second and will decline the first. If that describes your situation, establish exactly what your inspector or underwriter needs, then ask us; we will put the question to the manufacturer and answer in writing before you order.

Shipping and Delivery

Freight only, to the lower 48 states, at 1,134 lbs. (514 kg) in a crate listed at 77 in. x 40 in. x 24 in. Lighter than a two-post lift, still far beyond a two-person lift-and-carry. Have a forklift, a dock or suitable equipment ready before the truck arrives, or select terminal pickup and bring a vehicle that can take the crate. Residential delivery carries a residential fee, quoted live at checkout with the freight charge.

Inspect before you sign. Look for punctures, crushed corners and banding that has moved, and record anything you find on the bill of lading in the driver's presence. A clean signature says the shipment arrived undamaged, and that is hard to walk back afterwards. Photographs on the tailgate cost nothing and settle claims.

Warranty and Service

BendPak's full warranty document is linked on this page and governs; our record does not restate a warranty period for this model, so we will not paraphrase one. Independent of the terms: do not disassemble a component before you make a claim, since a stripped part is normally read as a modified part and the claim stops there. Keep the manual with the lift along with the in-service date and the installation record — on a flush-mounted lift the installation record is worth more than usual, because the recess and the concrete work around it are part of how the lift performs.
