BendPak LR-60 Low-Rise Lift
The LR-60 is the fixed-position member of BendPak's low-rise family: a 6,000 lb scissor lift, 70.5" (1,791 mm) across and 82" (2,083 mm) long, that sits in a bay and does wheel, brake and body work at a sensible working height. It gives up the rollers of the portable version, and in exchange it is the simpler, quieter purchase for a shop that knows where its wheel-service station lives.
Read the width before anything else
An overall width of 70.5" (1,791 mm) is the number that decides whether this lift suits your bay, and it is the one most often skipped. The two frames have to straddle the vehicle's track, which means the lift is wider than the space between the pads suggests, and in a narrow bay that width competes with a door swing, a bench or a tool cart. Measure the bay, not the car. On the length side the picture is easier: 82" (2,083 mm) overall with a 53" (1,346 mm) pad length, so it does not eat the depth of the bay the way a full-length four-post does.
Will it fit?
Power. Electric/hydraulic, running on 110 VAC, 50-60 Hz, single phase. No three-phase supply and no compressed air needed, which puts a professional-grade lift inside reach of an ordinary garage circuit.
Clearance underneath, and a disagreement worth knowing about. BendPak's product copy describes the LR-60 as collapsible down to a mere 4", while its published specification table lists a fully-lowered figure of 3.5" (89 mm). Those are two different claims about the same lift and we are not going to quietly choose one. If your car's clearance sits between them, ask us and we will confirm the figure with the manufacturer before you commit. What is not in doubt is that this is a low-profile frame designed for low-stance cars as well as light trucks and SUVs.
Working height. Lifting height at the pads is 23" (584 mm), rising to 24.5" (622 mm) with the 1.5" blocks and 26" (661 mm) with the optional 3" blocks. Full rise of the mechanism is 25" (635 mm), and the locks catch at 14.75" (375 mm), 20.25" (514 mm) and 23.75" (603 mm), so you can set the vehicle where the work is rather than where the lift stops.
Capacity, split by axle. 6,000 lbs (2,724 kg) in total, but no more than 3,000 lbs (1,361 kg) on the front axle and 3,000 lbs (1,361 kg) on the rear. A nose-heavy vehicle can sit inside the total and outside the axle limit, so check both. Confirming your vehicle's axle weights, your bay dimensions and your electrical supply before you order is the buyer's job, and we would rather answer that question than take a return.
Two cylinders, one behaviour
Each frame gets its own industrial-grade hydraulic cylinder, built with zero-leak sealing and tested against worst-case usage. The point of that specification is not brochure durability, it is what the lift does when nobody is watching: a cylinder that lets fluid creep past the piston shows up as a lift that settles overnight, and that is the failure people notice by finding the car lower than they left it.
Single-point release and the dropped crossbar
A single control releases both locks simultaneously, so there is no sequence to get right and no reason for anyone to be standing among the frames during descent — the controls are placed to keep the operator at a safe distance. The crossbar is dropped at the centre, adding drive-over clearance while bracing the structure against off-centre loading. Together they are why suspension work and wheel changes on this lift feel routine.
Rubber blocks that are meant to last
Solid rubber lifting blocks come with the lift, and the reasoning is straightforward: thin pads tear, and a torn pad marks a customer's vehicle and turns into a running replacement cost. The included blocks reposition to reach a range of pick-up points on unibody and frame-contact undercarriages — always the ones the vehicle manufacturer designates, never the ones that merely look convenient.
If moving the lift between bays matters more to you than a fixed station, look at the LR-60P instead. It is the same lift on high-density UHMW rollers, and the two exist so you can pick the one that matches how your floor is actually used.

Certification and compliance, stated plainly
No third-party safety listing is claimed for the LR-60 in the product data we hold, so we make no such claim here. Some insurers, fleet policies and local jurisdictions require equipment that carries a North American third-party safety listing — an independent test-house listing, which is a different document from a manufacturer's own declaration of conformity. If that requirement applies to you, check what your paperwork actually asks for before you buy. We are happy to help you match the requirement to a product.
Shipping and delivery
The LR-60 ships as freight within the lower 48 states. Freight is not parcel delivery: the truck brings it to the kerb or the dock and the receiving end is yours, so have a forklift, a dock and pallet jack, or arrange to collect from the carrier's terminal. Delivery to a residential address is a different service from a commercial dock and carries a residential fee — the checkout quotes it live rather than baking a stale number into this page.
Inspect before you sign. Look over the crate, the frames and the power unit, and record any damage on the bill of lading while the driver is still there. Signing a clean bill of lading is the carrier's evidence that everything arrived undamaged.
Warranty
BendPak's own copy for this lift states a five-year standard warranty. Take the manufacturer's published warranty document as the governing text rather than any summary — ask us and we will send you the current version before you order. And one condition that applies whatever the term says: do not strip down the power unit, the cylinder or the lock assembly before a claim is raised. A unit that has already been opened is usually outside the warranty by the time anyone assesses it, and the fault is exactly what needs to arrive intact.
