Four Parallelogram Support Bars Per Platform — Which Is How a Low-Rise Lift Reaches 10,000 lbs

Low-rise lifts are usually the compromise you accept for speed: quick wheel and brake access, modest capacity. The BendPak LR-10000 is built to avoid that compromise. Each lift platform is supported by four parallelogram frame support bars rather than the lighter linkage a low-rise normally uses, and the pair of platforms is driven by dual hydraulic cylinders. That structure is why this format carries a 10,000 lb rating — the number that lets it take trucks and SUVs, not just passenger cars.

For a shop, that changes what the lift is for. A low-rise that only handles cars is a second-tier tool you route work around. One that takes the same vehicles as your main bay becomes the fast lane for tire, brake, detailing and body work — the jobs where you want the wheels at waist height in thirty seconds, not the vehicle at head height.

Will It Fit?

Footprint. Overall length is 82.65" and overall width is 85". That is a compact square of floor, and because a low-rise lift has no columns and no overhead beam, there is no ceiling requirement to work around — which is exactly why it suits garages that cannot take a two-post or four-post lift at all.

Platforms. Overall pad length is 53" and overall pad width is 24", with drive-over ramps and side rails that widen the approach so a broader track vehicle can get on squarely. The platforms are full-length and rubber-topped, and the approach ramps are diamond-plated to reduce slipping — worth having when you are walking a wet or oily wheel down them.

Rise. Full rise is 23", and with the supplied blocks the lifting height reaches 32". The lift can be locked at intermediate heights of 14", 18", 20.75" and 22.75" before full rise, so you can set a working height that suits the job and the technician rather than always going to the top.

Power. 220 VAC / 60 Hz / 1 Ph. The power unit is compact and the installation is straightforward compared with a bolted-down column lift, but the circuit still needs to meet the manual's specification.

Your responsibility. Confirming the floor is level and sound, and that the electrical supply matches the manual's requirement, is the buyer's job. Read the site-requirements section of the installation manual before you order. A low-rise lift is far more forgiving about a building than a two-post is, but it is not indifferent to the slab beneath it.

Where the Load Goes, and Why the Axle Numbers Matter

Rated capacity is 10,000 lbs, with a maximum of 5,000 lbs on the front axle and 5,000 lbs on the rear. On a low-rise lift those per-axle figures deserve more attention than on a four-post, because the vehicle sits on two short platforms rather than two long runways — there is less scope for the load to distribute itself along the structure. A pickup with a loaded bed can sit inside the total rating and outside the rear-axle rating at the same time.

Dual hydraulic cylinders — one under each platform — give a stable, level rise. The platforms and auxiliary adapters are designed to lift most unibody and frame-contact undercarriages at the vehicle manufacturer's recommended pickup points. Before you buy, compare your vehicle's specifications — particularly ground clearance and overall height — against the figures on this page. That is not a disclaimer; it is the actual check that decides whether a given car can be lifted here.

Adapters, Trays and the Details That Save a Job

The lift comes with eight multi-height rubber-topped adapters, which is the part that makes it usable across a mixed vehicle fleet. Lift points sit at different heights on different chassis, and a rubber-topped adapter of the right height is the difference between a solid contact and a pad that wants to slide. The rubber top also protects a painted or coated pinch weld — the sort of damage that costs more to repair than the lift saved in time.

Perfect For

  • Tire and brake work — the format's core job, and this one takes the heavy vehicles too.
  • Detailing and body shops, where you want the vehicle raised to a comfortable working height rather than overhead.
  • Home garages with a low ceiling. No columns, no overhead beam, no ceiling calculation — when a two-post lift is impossible, this is often what is left.
  • Busy shops adding a fast bay alongside their main lifts, for jobs that do not need full height.
  • Anyone still working off jack stands who wants a proper mechanical lock and a stable platform.

What's in the Box

The lift ships with both full-length rubber-topped lifting platforms, the four parallelogram frame support bars per platform, dual hydraulic cylinders, the power unit, diamond-plated drive-over ramps and side rails, the side-mounted storage trays, and the eight multi-height rubber-topped adapters. Anything not listed above is not part of the standard package — ask us before assuming an accessory is included.

Two figures to confirm with us before you order

Collapsed height. The long-standing product copy for this lift describes a 4" collapsed height, while BendPak's specification table lists a fully-lowered height of 4.5". Half an inch is nothing on most vehicles and everything on a lowered car with limited ground clearance. We are showing both rather than picking one — if that half inch decides your purchase, ask us and we will confirm against the current factory drawing.

Number of lock positions. The feature list describes three locking positions; the specification table lists four lock heights before full rise — 14", 18", 20.75" and 22.75". The individual heights are consistent across both sources; only the count differs. If your working method depends on a specific number of intermediate stops, confirm with us first.

Certification, Stated Plainly

The product data we hold for this lift does not carry a certification claim of any kind. Rather than fill that gap with something plausible, we will say it directly: we are not able to confirm from this listing's data whether the LR-10000 holds a third-party lift safety listing.

A third-party lift safety listing is issued by an independent testing body, and it is not the same document as a manufacturer's own declaration of conformity. Insurers, fleet safety policies and some local jurisdictions require it specifically for equipment in commercial service. If yours does, get the requirement in writing and contact us — we will confirm the current position with BendPak before you commit.

Shipping and Delivery

Ships by freight to the lower 48 states, quoted live at checkout for your destination so the rate is current rather than an estimate. You must be able to unload the shipment or take pickup at the carrier's terminal — it arrives crated and heavy, so plan for a forklift, a loading dock, or an equipment trailer and enough hands. Residential delivery is available and carries a residential fee.

Inspect before you sign. Check the crate and its contents while the driver is present and note any damage on the bill of lading before signing. A clean signed BOL makes a freight damage claim very hard to pursue.

Warranty

Covered by BendPak's published warranty, linked on this page. That document governs coverage, term and the claim process, and nothing here restates a term it does not state.

Do not disassemble, modify or attempt a repair before filing a warranty claim. It is the most common reason a valid claim is denied. Stop using the equipment, photograph the fault in place, and contact us first.
