BendPak 2 Post Car Lift 10AP Pro Series 10,000‐lb Capacity

The Pro-Series difference is in the crate: frame cradle pads and adapter pins come with it

Two-post lifts are usually sold on the structure and quietly upsold on the hardware. What separates BendPak's 10AP Pro-Series from the standard 10AP is that the truck-lifting hardware is part of the package: this version includes frame cradle pads and adapter pins as supplied equipment, which is exactly the kit a shop discovers it needs the first time a body-on-frame pickup rolls in and the standard screw pads will not sit safely on the rails. If your work is mixed passenger and light truck, that is a real difference in what you spend on day one, not a marketing tier.

Underneath it is a 10,000 lbs. capacity lift with an expandable top beam, Bi-Metric triple-telescoping arms, and oversized 53 in. and 59 in. tall carriages. An optional Air-Electric Station adds industrial-grade air and electric outlets at the column if you want the services where the work is.

Arm restraints rated in every direction

The Automatic Swing Arm Restraint System is the part of this lift worth understanding, because of when it earns its keep. Arms are secure while a car sits still; the danger is the moment a heavy driveline component comes off an elevated vehicle and the balance moves across arms extended a long way from the columns. BendPak's answer is forged steel with a full 360 degrees of load-holding grip and over 2000 pounds of holding force, engaging by itself with no operator step to forget, and a quick-release lever for when you genuinely want the arm to swing. The safety locks share the philosophy — automatic on the way up, spaced every 3 in. through each column, all released from a single point on the way down.

Will It Fit?

Measure the bay, not the car. The expandable beam means this lift has two published footprints and you commit to one when you anchor it.

  • Overhead. Overall height 145 in. (3,683 mm); floor to the overhead shutoff bar 139.25 in. (3,537 mm). The bar is what a tall roof contacts, so plan the vehicle around the lower figure and the building around the higher one.
  • Width. Overall 135 in. (3,429 mm) narrow or 145 in. (3,683 mm) wide; outside the columns 127 in. (3,226 mm) or 137 in. (3,480 mm); inside the columns 108.25 in. (2,750 mm) or 118.25 in. (3,004 mm).
  • Drive-through. 92 in. (2,337 mm) narrow, 102 in. (2,591 mm) wide.
  • Low cars. Minimum height with the pad fitted is 4 in. (102 mm).
  • Power. 220V single phase, run to the column position shown in the installation manual before delivery day.

Ceiling, bay width and the electrical supply are the buyer's responsibility to verify. Our record carries no concrete thickness or strength requirement for this model, and on a two-post lift the anchors carry everything, so please do not assume an existing slab is adequate. The installation manual linked on this page states the requirement; ask us and we will confirm it in writing before you order.

Arms sized for asymmetric loading

Bi-Metric arms handle symmetric and asymmetric positioning from the same set — a 2-in-1 design, so nobody swaps arms between a sedan and a pickup. The reach figures on this model are worth reading as a pair: front arms 24.5 in. (622 mm) closed to 50 in. (1,270 mm) extended, rear arms 32 in. (812 mm) to 59.25 in. (1,504 mm). The long rear reach is what puts the vehicle's mass rearward for asymmetric lifting so the doors clear the columns, and each arm is rated to 2,500 lbs. (1,134 kg).

The triple-telescoping design is not just about extension. The inner tube retracts back through the arm assembly rather than stopping at an end plate, which is where a two-stage arm gives up, and that is what makes the short end of each range achievable. Low-Pro arms carry a shorter channel profile and a dropped-end pad receiver for lowered chassis, where the thing at risk is a side skirt or a set of ground effects rather than the lift.

Cable, sheaves and finish

Equalizing cable is 3/8 in. (10 mm) high-strength multi-strand galvanized steel over deliberately oversized sheaves. Sheave diameter is a service-life decision rather than a headline: the same cable bent around a larger wheel fatigues more slowly. The power system is electric over hydraulic, HVLP, with dual direct-drive cylinders, and the whole structure carries a powder-coat finish. Time to full rise is 45 seconds and the lift runs under 70 dB.

Perfect For

  • Professional shops doing mixed car and light-truck work, which is where the supplied cradle pads and pins pay for themselves.
  • Bays with normal ceilings — at 145 in. overall this is the standard-height member of the family, not the tall one.
  • Dealership service lanes needing asymmetric door clearance on one car and symmetric lifting on the next.
  • Well-equipped home garages with the slab and the electrical supply to support a full-size two-post lift.

What's in the Box

Only what this product's own copy and feature list state: four triple-telescoping Low-Pro swing arms, frame cradle pads and adapter pins, double-telescoping screw pads, the padded overhead safety shutoff bar, expandable top beam hardware for either width, the automatic arm restraints, equalizing cables and sheaves, and the electric/hydraulic HVLP power unit. Sold separately: the Air-Electric Station, and optional 2.5 in. and 5 in. stackable adapters with column-mounted racks to store them. Anchors and anything not named above should not be assumed to be in the crate.

Certification, stated plainly

This lift's feature list states that it is ALI certified — an independent assessment against the North American lift safety standard, which is a stronger document than a manufacturer's own declaration of conformity. Insurers, fleet contracts and municipal inspectors that require the listing normally want it evidenced against the model and serial number rather than a product page, so ask and we will get that paperwork from the manufacturer before you order. This design is also covered by United States patent US11820632B2 and by corresponding patents in Canada, China and other countries.

Shipping and Delivery

Freight only, to the lower 48 states, as a single crate listed at 150 in. x 24 in. x 28 in. and 1,729 lbs. That is not a pickup-truck collection. Have a forklift, a loading dock, or enough people and equipment on site to take it off the trailer — or select terminal pickup and arrive with a suitable vehicle. Residential delivery carries a residential fee, which is quoted live at checkout with the freight itself.

Inspect before you sign. Look for punctures, crushed corners and banding that has moved, and note anything you find on the bill of lading in front of the driver. A clean signature says the shipment arrived undamaged and is difficult to walk back. Photographs taken at the tailgate cost nothing.

Warranty and Service

BendPak's full warranty document is linked on this page and is what governs; our record does not restate a term for this model and we will not paraphrase one. Independent of the terms: do not take a component apart before you file a claim. A disassembled part is usually read as a modified part, and that ends the discussion. Keep the manual with the lift together with the anchor torque record and the in-service date — those are the first things a warranty administrator asks to see.
