Description
-Autostacker A6W: five locking heights, on an extra-wide deck
The A6W is a parking lift. It stores one vehicle above another inside the footprint of a single garage bay, and it does that without columns standing beside your doors. The detail worth buying it for is the lock bar: this lift stops and mechanically locks at five separate heights, the lowest at 52.5" (1,331 mm) and the highest at 81.25" (2,064 mm). You pick the storage height that suits your ceiling and the car underneath instead of accepting one height somebody else chose.
The A6W is the wide member of the family. Its drive-on platform measures 91.75" (2,331 mm) across, inside an overall footprint of 111" (2,815 mm) wide by 143" (3,630 mm) long, and it is rated to 6,000 lbs. (2,722 kg). That extra deck width is what makes it usable for full-size pickups, dual-cab trucks and wide-track SUVs whose mirrors and running boards make a narrower stacker an exercise in patience.
Will It Fit?
Four measurements decide whether this lift works in your building, and every one of them is measurable before you order.
- Ceiling. The top lock sits at 81.25" (2,064 mm). Measure the height of the vehicle you intend to store on the upper deck, add it to the lock height you plan to use, and then allow for your garage door track, lighting and sprinkler heads. If your ceiling is tight, that is exactly what the lower locks at 52.5" (1,331 mm), 60.75" (1,543 mm), 68.5" (1,736 mm) and 75" (1,909 mm) are for.
- Floor width. Allow the full 111" (2,815 mm) overall width, plus room to open the doors of the car parked below.
- Floor length. The lift occupies 143" (3,630 mm) front to back, with 124" (3,150 mm) of that being usable platform length.
- Working room underneath. Maximum underclearance is 80" (2,032 mm). That is the space the lower vehicle lives in, not a working height for service.
- Power. The standard console is a 2HP motor on 208-240V, 50/60Hz, 1Ph.
Site preparation, the electrical supply and the condition of the slab are the customer's responsibility. The manufacturer data we hold for the A6W does not state a required concrete thickness or a compressive strength figure, so we are not going to invent one: read the installation manual linked on this page and have your slab confirmed by whoever is doing the install before the lift is ordered. If you want us to check a measurement against the factory drawings first, ask.
Why five locking heights matter more than a headline number
A parking lift with a single storage height is only useful if that one height happens to suit both your ceiling and your two vehicles. Five mechanical locks change the arithmetic. Store a low sports car above a sedan at 52.5" (1,331 mm) and you keep headroom to spare; lift a truck clear of a workbench at 81.25" (2,064 mm) when the ceiling allows it. The locks are mechanical, so the parked load rests on steel rather than on hydraulic pressure — that is the property that makes long-term storage sensible rather than merely possible.
The wide deck and the 2" entry ramp
Two dimensions do most of the day-to-day work on this lift. The first is the 91.75" (2,331 mm) platform width, which is the reason a wide vehicle can be driven on and its doors still opened. The second is the entry ramp height of 2" (51 mm) against a forward platform height of 13" (330 mm) — a shallow approach angle, which matters if the car going on top has a low front lip. A steep ramp on a low car is the single most common reason a parking lift ends up unused.
Quiet enough for an attached garage
The A6W is rated at 52 db in operation. In a residential garage that is the difference between raising a car in the evening and waiting until morning. The standard power unit console raises the lift in about 35 seconds; the optional multi-unit console does it in roughly 20 seconds.
One lift now, twelve later
Two power options are published for this lift and they answer two different problems. The standard console is a single-unit 2HP setup on 208-240V, 50/60Hz, 1Ph — ordinary single-phase service, which is what a home garage or a small shop actually has. The optional multi-unit console runs up to twelve lifts from one point and uses a 7.5HP motor on 208-230V/460 VAC, 50/60Hz, 3Ph. If you are outfitting a dealership storage deck or a collector building in stages, that is the one to specify.
Perfect For
- The home garage that is one bay short. Two cars in one bay, at a storage height you choose.
- Collector and seasonal storage. Mechanical locks and a low decibel rating suit a vehicle that sits for months.
- Dealerships and commercial parking. The multi-unit console makes a row of lifts a single system.
- Owners of wide vehicles. The 91.75" (2,331 mm) deck is the reason to choose this model over a standard-width stacker.
What's in the Box
The lift ships with the standard single-unit power unit console described above. The multi-unit console is an option and is not included unless it is ordered. The published material for the A6W does not carry an itemised packing list, so we are not going to write one — if a specific item matters to your install, ask us in writing and we will confirm it against the factory documentation before you order.

Certification, stated honestly
The manufacturer data we hold for the A6W does not state a third-party North American lift safety listing. That listing is an independent, tested approval, and it is not the same thing as a manufacturer's own rating or a workmanship warranty. Some insurers, some fleet and dealership policies, and some local building or fire codes require it for a lift used in a commercial setting. If any of those apply to you, confirm the requirement with your insurer or inspector before you buy rather than after the freight arrives. We would rather lose the sale than have you discover it on install day.
Shipping and delivery
This lift ships by freight to the lower 48 states. Freight is quoted live at checkout, so the price you see is the price for your address on the day. You need to be able to take the shipment off the truck — a forklift, a loading dock, or arranging terminal pickup and collecting it yourself. A residential delivery carries an additional fee, which is applied at checkout. Inspect the crate before you sign: note any damage on the bill of lading at the moment of delivery, because a signature on a clean bill of lading is what closes the door on a freight claim.
Warranty
Warranty terms for this lift are handled through our warranty claims page rather than being stated in the product data we hold, so we are not quoting a term here. One thing that applies regardless of the term: do not disassemble a component you intend to claim on. Photograph the fault, leave the assembly intact, and contact us first — a stripped-down part is usually the end of a claim.
