Description
-Garage PRO9000 with RJ35 jacks — no compressor required
The RJ35 is a hand-pump sliding bridge jack. There is no air line, no compressor and no regulator anywhere in this package. For a home garage that is not the compromise it sounds like — it is often the reason the package works at all. A great many buyers get the lift installed, discover the jacks want shop air, and then find themselves pricing a compressor big enough to feed them. Here the jacks are worked by hand, they are ready the day the lift is, and there is nothing else to buy.
Two of them come with the lift, each rated at 3,500 lb, sliding on the tracks between the runways so a vehicle can be lifted clear of the deck for wheel-off work. The lift itself is the Garage PRO9000: 9,000 lb, free-standing, and the highest-capacity model in the Garage PRO family.
Will It Fit Your Garage?
Four-post lifts fail to fit on length far more often than on height, and this one is long.
- Length. 227 1/2" (18' 11 1/2") overall with the approach ramp, of which the ramp alone is 31" (2' 7"). You also need clear floor beyond the ramp to drive on and off, which is the part people forget when they measure to the wall.
- Height. Columns stand 95 3/4" (7' 11 3/4") — that is the number your ceiling has to clear, not the 85" (7' 1") the runways reach. Underneath there is 80 1/4" (6' 8 1/4") of clearance.
- Width. 123 1/2" (10' 3 1/2") across the columns, or 131 1/2" (10' 11 1/2") once the motor is included. Clearance between the columns is 110 1/2" (9' 2 1/2") and the drive-through is 97 1/4" (8' 1 1/4").
- Power. 110 volt on a 30 amp breaker — a normal garage circuit rather than a panel upgrade.
Measuring the building, and confirming the slab is sound, is the customer’s responsibility. Do it with a tape rather than an estimate: a lift that will not fit is a freight problem, not a warranty one.
Runway length is the specification that decides your vehicle
The runways are 199 1/2" (16' 7 1/2") long and take a wheelbase up to 187" (15' 7"), with 184 1/2" (15' 4 1/2") between the columns. A long-bed crew-cab pickup fits inside that. So does a full-size van. Driving surface is 20" wide, or 21 1/4" counting the rails, on plate 4 3/4" thick, with 35 1/2" (2' 11 1/2") between the rails and 79" (6' 7") across the outside of the pair — width enough for a dual-rear-wheel truck to track on without an outer tire hanging over the edge. How far apart the two runways themselves stand is a figure we list as 39 3/4" (3' 3 3/4") and the manufacturer lists as less; the note further down this page says what to do about that.
Capacity is the number everyone compares. Wheelbase and runway length are the numbers that decide whether your vehicle can actually use the lift, and they are worth checking against the car you own rather than the class it belongs to.
Why a sliding jack with adjustable arms earns its place
A four-post carries a vehicle on its tires, which is fine until the job is the tires. The RJ35 lifts the vehicle by its frame so the wheels hang free. Two features make it flexible rather than merely present.
The first is width: it adjusts from 29 1/2" (2' 5 1/2") to 64 3/4" (5' 4 3/4"), so it is not tied to one runway spacing and will move to another four-post if you change lifts. The second is the arms. Unlike a fixed-pad jack, the lift arms adjust to reach lifting points that are not where the manufacturer assumed — which on a modified, lowered or restored vehicle is most of the time.
The scissor mechanism raises both sides together so the vehicle comes up level. Minimum height with the lift pad above the runway is 3 1/2", though that varies with the lift, and the pad sits 1 3/8" above the arm. Maximum raised height is 11" without adapters and 17 1/4" with them; adapters are supplied two each at 1.5" and 5", on a 1.5" peg. There are multiple safety lock positions and each jack ships at 350 lb.
Perfect For
- Home garages with no compressor — this is the package built for exactly that situation.
- Two-car storage, parking one vehicle under another in 80 1/4" of clearance.
- Restorers and modifiers, where the adjustable jack arms find lifting points a fixed pad cannot.
- Small service centres that want a lift they can move on casters when the bay layout changes.
What’s in the Box
The caster kit with polyurethane wheels is included with the lift, along with steel approach ramps, a steel jack tray, four plastic drip trays and two rubber wheel chocks. Each RJ35 comes with a four-piece truck adapter set. Shipping weight is 2,300 lb for the lift and 350 lb per jack.

The rails the jacks ride, and a measurement we cannot settle
An RJ35 never touches the driving surface. It lives in the channel between the two decks, carried on the inner rails, and it is pumped by hand from wherever you happen to be standing. That makes the width of that channel a working dimension rather than a catalogue one: it governs how much of each jack’s travel goes on simply reaching out to the frame rails, and it is the first thing anyone asks when they want to know whether a jack from another lift will slide in here.
Our value for that width is in the table above. Atlas’s current specification for this lift puts the two runways closer together than our sheet does. Both documents are live, we have no way to settle which one describes the steel in the crate, and we will not guess in either direction. Our number is the one repeated by sellers of this lift, which is a reason for care rather than for confidence.
Get the channel width from us in writing before you commit to this package if it bears on anything you are planning — a jack you already own, a drip tray or cross-member cut to fit, an air line run down the middle. The two RJ35 jacks supplied here adjust across a range that takes up a difference of this size without trouble; fixed-width fittings do not.
Certification, stated plainly
Atlas publishes no independent third-party safety listing for the Garage PRO series, and neither the lift nor the jacks in this package carry one. The manufacturer rates and tests its own equipment, but that is a different document from a listing issued by an outside testing body, and only the second satisfies a policy or a code that names it. Some commercial insurance policies, fleet programmes and local jurisdictions do name it. Atlas builds four-post lifts that carry the independent listing; if that requirement applies to you, tell us before you order and we will point you at those rather than let you discover the gap at an inspection.
Shipping and delivery
Freight only, lower 48 states, priced live at checkout for your address rather than printed on the page where it would go stale. The lift and two jacks make a heavy consignment and you must be able to receive it: a forklift, a loading dock, or terminal pickup where you collect it yourself. Residential delivery carries a residential fee. Before you sign, walk around the shipment and note any damage on the bill of lading in front of the driver — that written note is the whole basis of a claim, and a clean signature removes it.
Warranty
The lift carries 2 years structural and 1 year hydraulic, parts only. The RJ35 jacks carry 1 year, parts only. Parts only means the replacement component is supplied and the labour is not. Open any claim before you dismantle anything — a part that arrives back already stripped cannot be assessed, and that is the usual reason a sound claim turns into a long argument.
