Atlas EVBL3310: the tilt is the feature, not the capacity

An electric vehicle battery pack is not a heavy object so much as an awkward one. It is wide, it is flat, it weighs as much as a small car’s worth of everything else put together, and it has to arrive at its mounting points square — because a pack presented at a couple of degrees off will not start its fasteners, and there is no way to persuade several hundred pounds of sealed enclosure by hand. That is the problem the EVBL3310 is built around, and it is why the specification that matters most on this table is not the 3,300 lbs of capacity. It is the tilt.

The platform adjusts +/- 5.1 degrees left to right and +/- 2.2 degrees front to rear, under power, from a wired remote, while the pack is on it. Combined with an extendable platform and a tabletop drilled for accessory fixtures, that is what turns lowering and refitting a pack from a job requiring three people and a lot of improvisation into a controlled, repeatable procedure.

What it is, and what it is not

This is a battery lift table. It handles the pack. It does not lift the vehicle, and it is not a substitute for the lift that does. The normal sequence is that the vehicle goes up on a two-post or four-post lift, the table rolls underneath, the pack is unbolted onto it, and the table takes the weight down. You need both pieces of equipment; this is the one most shops have not got yet.

What your shop needs

Comparatively little, and that is deliberate. Confirming your own power supply and floor is the buyer’s responsibility.

• Power. 110V single phase, electric over hydraulic, with a 30 amp breaker recommended. An external 110V supply is required and not included. There is no three-phase requirement and no compressed air needed — a mobile table that had to be tethered to shop air would defeat its own purpose.
• Floor. Flat and clear. The table is designed to be moved around the shop, so the surface it rolls on is the surface it works on.
• Height. The platform travels from 29 1/4 inches at its lowest to 71 1/4 inches at its highest. Check the low figure against the ground clearance you will have under a raised vehicle, and the high figure against the height you need to reach to refit.
• Platform footprint. 31 3/4 inches wide, extending in length from 68 1/4 inches to 79 3/4 inches. Measure the packs you actually service — footprint, not weight, is usually what decides whether a table suits a vehicle line.
• Moving it. The table itself is listed at 1,500 lbs. It is portable in the sense that it rolls where you want it, not in the sense that you will lift it into a van.

Why a few degrees is the whole job

Once a pack is unbolted, gravity stops being neutral. A pack that sagged slightly at one corner on the way out has to be persuaded back into exactly the plane it left, against a set of fasteners that are unforgiving about angle. Levering it there with a pry bar is how enclosures get dented and seals get compromised, and a compromised seal on a high-voltage pack is not a cosmetic problem.

Powered tilt in two axes means the correction is made by the machine, in small increments, while the operator stands back and sights along the mating faces. 5.1 degrees either way across the table covers the roll; 2.2 degrees fore and aft covers the pitch. Between them they cover the realistic misalignment of a pack sitting on a table under a vehicle that is itself on a lift, which is a stack of three things none of which are perfectly level.

The extendable platform and the drilled tabletop

Pack footprints differ enormously between manufacturers and generations, and a fixed platform ends up either too short to support the ends or so long it fouls the lift arms. This platform extends in length, so the support can be matched to the pack rather than the pack balanced on whatever was provided.

The tabletop carries multiple threaded holes for accessory attachment, with an accessory kit sold separately. That matters more than it reads: a bolted fixture locates a pack positively and repeatably, where a ratchet strap only stops it sliding. If you service one or two vehicle lines in volume, being able to bolt a dedicated cradle to the table is what makes the tenth job as quick as the first.

Control, and what holds the load

Lifting and tilting are both driven from a wired remote, which puts the operator where they can see the clearance rather than at a control panel on the machine. The table has a built-in safety lock ladder with a manual release, so the platform rests mechanically at height instead of relying on hydraulic pressure to hold it, and the legs are reinforced for stability under load rather than only for capacity on paper.

What the equipment does not do

Worth saying plainly on a product page rather than leaving to a manual: this table solves weight and geometry. It does not make a high-voltage battery safe to handle. Service disconnect, insulated tooling, appropriate personal protective equipment and the vehicle manufacturer’s own procedure are all still required and none of them are supplied here. Buy the table because it removes the manual handling risk, not because it removes the electrical one.

Certification, stated honestly

The product data we hold for this table does not carry an independent North American safety listing, and we would rather tell you than let you assume. For most shops it is not a factor. It becomes one where an insurer, a manufacturer service agreement or a local inspection regime specifically requires equipment carrying a recognised third-party listing — and high-voltage work is an area where those requirements do sometimes appear. If you are subject to one, get it in writing from whoever is imposing it and speak to us before you order.

Shipping and Delivery

The EVBL3310 ships as freight within the lower 48 states. At 1,500 lbs it needs a forklift or a loading dock at the receiving end, or you can arrange warehouse pickup instead — locations are listed further down this page. Residential delivery is available and carries a fee, quoted live at checkout rather than stated here, because carrier pricing changes.

Inspect it before you sign. Count the shipment against the paperwork, look for crush damage and shifted banding, and note anything wrong on the bill of lading with the driver still present. A clean signature is the carrier’s evidence that it all arrived intact, and reopening that afterwards is difficult.

Warranty

The table carries a 2 year structural and hydraulic warranty. If a covered component fails, contact us before you take anything apart — a partly disassembled unit is very hard to assess, and stripping it first is one of the most common ways a valid claim is lost.
