AMGO PRO-30E HD: a Full-Length Deck at 30,000 lbs

The PRO-30E HD is the long-deck member of AMGO's 30,000 lb super-duty family. Its platform runs 366 1/8″ overall with the ramps fitted and 315 1/2″ without them — the same deck length AMGO puts under the top of its super-duty range — while the structure itself weighs 6,676 lbs and the drive-through opening measures 117 13/16″. That combination is the point of the model. Buy it when your vehicles are long and heavy, but not so heavy that a 30,000 lb rating is the constraint.

It suits shops that see coaches, transit vans on extended chassis, box trucks, service bodies and tandem-axle equipment across the same two posts of the same week. The lifting cycle is a listed 133S, so it is a lift built to be used repeatedly through a shift rather than raised once and left.

Will It Fit?

Every figure below is from AMGO's own table for this model. Check them against your building before you order — the ceiling is the one that catches people out.

  • Floor length. 366 1/8″ with ramps, 315 1/2″ for the structure alone. Ramps need clear approach in front of them; treat that as extra.
  • Floor width. 149 3/8″ across the columns, with 131 13/16″ clear between them. The runways set from 92 15/16″ to 102 3/4″ across their outside edges — roughly 92″ to 102″ of deck to keep clear of walls and neighbouring bays.
  • Ceiling. The lift stands 91 13/16″ unloaded. Your usable height must cover that plus the tallest vehicle plus the rise you want, up to a maximum lifting height of 74 13/16″. Count lighting, ducting and door tracks against your figure, not the raw slab-to-joist measurement.
  • Drive-through. 117 13/16″ between the carriages. Narrower than the highest-capacity four-posts AMGO builds, so if you routinely drive wide-bodied equipment straight through, measure it before you commit.
  • Power. A 2.0 HP power unit. Supply voltage, breaker size and disconnect are specified in the manual that ships with the lift and is linked further down this page — have an electrician confirm all three for your building in advance.
  • Concrete. AMGO states the required slab thickness and strength in the installation manual. Meeting it, including any coring or repour, is the buyer's responsibility. We cannot assess your floor from here and we will not guess at it.

What 6,676 lbs of Structure Buys You

The gross weight is worth reading as a specification rather than a shipping detail. 6,676 lbs of steel under a 30,000 lb rating is where the stiffness comes from: columns that do not flex noticeably as the carriages climb, and runways that stay level with a long, unevenly-loaded chassis on them. It also tells you something practical — this is not a lift that gets nudged into position by two people. Site it once, and site it correctly.

The Safety Stack, and Why Cable Slack Is the Thing to Watch

Raising and holding are separate jobs on this lift, and the manufacturer has treated them separately. A mechanical self-locking safety device with an air-driven lock release holds the platform on steel once it is up; multiple primary safety locks give the mechanism more than one place to engage. A parked vehicle is therefore not being held by hydraulic pressure.

Alongside that sits a cable-slack protection system, which addresses the failure mode cable-driven four-posts actually experience. Cables do not usually part without warning; one goes slack while the others keep tension, and the deck starts to go out of level with a load on it. Detecting that condition and stopping the lift is what the system is for. The cable itself is aircraft-standard — a grade chosen because its fatigue behaviour under repeated cycling is published and predictable.

Hydraulics and Deck

A single heavy-duty cylinder with quality oil seals and a compensation valve does the work. The compensation valve governs descent, which is the half of the cycle where a weak hydraulic package shows itself: a controlled, even lowering rather than a loaded platform falling at whatever speed the weight decides. The runway width adjusts from 44 7/8″ to 54 3/4″, so a narrow-track chassis and a dual-rear-wheel truck can both sit properly on the deck, and the platforms are non-skid diamond plate for traction when a vehicle is driven on wet.

Perfect For

  • Coach and shuttle operators — the long deck is the reason to choose this over the standard-length 30,000 lb model.
  • Commercial truck shops running box bodies, service bodies and extended-chassis vans.
  • Fleet maintenance departments whose vehicle mix is long rather than exceptionally heavy.
  • Industrial and agricultural workshops servicing yard and site vehicles that overhang a shorter platform.

If your bay cannot take a 366 1/8″ deck, the standard-length 30,000 lb model in this range is the same lift on a shorter platform. If your loads are heavier than 30,000 lbs, move up a rating rather than up a deck.

Certification, Stated Plainly

The power unit supplied as standard with this lift is ETL certified. That is a third-party listing of the electrical assembly — motor, pump and control circuit — against a recognised safety standard, and it is the certification AMGO claims for this model.

It is not a North American third-party structural certification of the lift itself, and we are not going to let one stand in for the other. Some insurers, fleet policies and local jurisdictions do require a lift-specific third-party safety listing, and where they do, an electrical listing does not satisfy the requirement. Ask them to name the listing in writing and talk to us before ordering, so it is settled before the lift is bolted to your floor rather than at your first inspection.

Shipping and Delivery

This is freight, to the lower 48 states, and at 6,676 lbs it is a serious piece of freight.

Plan the unload first. A forklift rated well above the crate weight, a telehandler or an overhead crane are the practical options; the delivering driver will not and cannot do it for you. If your site has none of those, take terminal pickup and collect it with your own equipment, or use one of the AMGO warehouse pickup locations shown further down this page.

Then plan the inspection. Before you sign, count the crates against the packing list and photograph anything crushed, bent or scraped, and write the damage onto the bill of lading while the driver is still there. Once a clean BOL is signed, the carrier's position is that it arrived undamaged, and a later claim is very hard to carry.

Delivery to a residential address carries a residential fee. Freight is quoted live at checkout for your ZIP code rather than estimated in advance.

Warranty

Terms and the claim process live on our warranty claims page. One rule saves more claims than any other: do not disassemble a component before the claim is raised. A cylinder stripped for a look, or a power unit opened up on the bench, is the most frequent reason a genuine failure ends up uncovered. Photograph it, describe what it did, and call us first.
