Description
-AMGO PRO-12SX + J6A: the four-post that arrives able to do wheels-off work
Here is the problem nobody mentions when they sell you a four-post lift. A four-post holds a vehicle by its tyres, which is excellent for undercar work and useless the moment you need a wheel off. Brakes, hubs, suspension, tyres — all of it needs the wheels hanging free, and for that a four-post needs a rolling bridge jack. Most buyers discover this a week after the lift is installed.
This listing is the PRO-12SX and the J6A rolling bridge jack together. The lift gives you 12,000 lbs of capacity and a stable drive-on platform; the jack rides on the runways and lifts the vehicle clear of them. AMGO builds the J6A to the same component standards as its lifts — the same class of seals, the same approach to the hydraulics — so the jack is not the weak link in the pair.
Warranty terms, in writing, up front
Most lift pages in this category link a warranty PDF and never state a term. This one states it: five years on steel components, three years on hydraulic parts and two years on electrical components. Those are three different numbers for three different failure profiles, which is what an honest warranty looks like — steel does not fail the way a solenoid does. Read that structure as information rather than reassurance: the components with the shortest cover are the ones you should expect to service first.
Will It Fit?
Confirm each of these before ordering. The building, the floor and the electrical supply are the buyer's responsibility to verify.
- Length. 232 11/16″ overall with the ramps fitted, 196 3/4″ without. The runways themselves are 186″.
- Width. 132 1/8″ overall with 118 1/8″ between the columns, quoted as 9.75 ft between columns. Give yourself walking room past that on both sides — with a bridge jack in use you will be moving around the lift far more than on a plain storage four-post.
- Drive-through. 104 3/16″ of clearance between the carriages, an 8.5 ft drive-thru width.
- Ceiling. 86″ to the top of the structure. What your roof actually has to clear is the tallest vehicle you will raise plus the rise you use — and with a bridge jack deployed, plus whatever the jack adds under the vehicle.
- Floor and power. The slab specification is set out in the installation manual attached to this listing; read it before you buy rather than on install day. The power unit is 2.0 HP and wants a dedicated, correctly sized circuit.
What the bridge jack changes about how you work
With the J6A on the runways the PRO-12SX stops being a storage lift with service capability and becomes a service lift outright. Raise the vehicle on the four-post, roll the jack under the axle or the frame, and lift that end clear of the platform. You now have the undercar access of a four-post and free wheels — a combination a two-post gives you at the cost of the drive-on convenience and the storage use.
For a shop that means one bay covering brake and tyre work as well as exhaust, driveline and fluid service. For a home garage it means the lift you park a car on all winter is also the lift you rebuild the suspension on in spring.
Locks and lifting, on a lift you will be working around
The PRO-12SX uses a mechanical self-locking safety device with an air-driven release: the lock engages by itself as the platform rises, and releasing it is a deliberate act requiring shop air. Behind it, multiple primary safety locks along the travel and a cable-slack protection system that stops the lift if an equalising cable loses tension — the failure that actually turns up as cables age on a cable-driven lift. The synchronisation cables are aircraft-standard; the hydraulic cylinder uses high-quality oil seals with a compensation valve.
Working height at the top of the pad is 74″, with the maximum lock height to the top of the runway at 70 7/8″ and 68 1/2″ of clearance underneath (65 3/8″ at the highest lock). Lowered, the platform sits at 6 5/8″. A full cycle takes 45 seconds. The runway track is steplessly adjustable — 43 1/4″ between the runways as standard, with the outside edge at 83 1/4″ and a range from 43 3/4″ to 93 3/4″ — so the platform is set to the vehicle rather than the vehicle to the platform.
Perfect For
- General repair shops that want one bay to cover both undercar and wheels-off work.
- Tyre and brake specialists who need the wheels free but prefer a drive-on platform to arm placement.
- Fleet and light truck service up to the 12,000 lbs rating.
- Home and collector garages that need the lift to store a car and also to work on it properly.
What's in the Box
This is a combination listing, so both units ship: the PRO-12SX four-post lift and the J6A rolling bridge jack. The lift includes the ETL certified power unit as standard, non-skid diamond platforms, the mechanical self-locking device with air release, the primary safety lock set, the cable-slack protection system and aircraft-standard synchronisation cables. Anchors and any additional accessories vary by configuration — confirm anything specific with us before ordering rather than assuming it is crated.

Certification, stated plainly
The power unit supplied with the PRO-12SX is ETL certified. Take that at its actual scope: it is an electrical listing on the power unit, not an independent third-party safety listing of the assembled lift, and one does not stand in for the other. If your insurer, a fleet contract, a franchise standard or your local jurisdiction requires whole-lift third-party certification, get the requirement in writing and check it before purchase. That question is cheap to ask today and expensive to answer at an inspection.
Shipping and delivery
Freight only, to the lower 48. AMGO's own delivery note for this combination is blunt and we will repeat it: commercial or residential delivery requires a forklift. The carrier will book an appointment, but getting 2,251 lbs of crated lift and the jack off the trailer is the customer's job — a forklift, telehandler or dock. If you do not have one, take warehouse pickup instead, which is available at Manning, SC, Dallas, TX and Temecula, CA, and bring equipment capable of loading it. Delivery to a residential address carries a residential fee, calculated live at checkout with the freight.
Inspect the shipment before you sign for it. Two items means two things to check. Photograph anything suspect and write it on the bill of lading in front of the driver; a clean signature says everything arrived intact.
Warranty
The terms stated above — five years steel, three years hydraulic, two years electrical — are the manufacturer's published cover for this lift. The exclusions and the claim procedure are on our warranty claims page, and that page is the live version if anything has changed.
Do not disassemble a component before a claim is agreed. Opening a cylinder, a power unit or the jack's hydraulics to diagnose it yourself is the surest way to lose cover on the exact part you were claiming for. Report the symptom and leave it assembled.
