Description
-MaxJax M7K Portable Car Lift — Standard Package
Almost every two-post lift is a permanent decision. You give up a bay, the columns stay where the installer put them, and the garage is reorganised around the lift for as long as you own it. The M7K is the two-post lift you can take back out of the floor and stand against a wall. Internally threaded concrete anchors and quick-connect hydraulic couplers mean the manufacturer rates a stow-away in under 15 minutes, and heavy-duty urethane non-marring wheels mean one person moves the columns rather than two people and a plan.
That is the entire argument for this lift, and it is worth being clear-eyed about it: you are buying 7,000 lbs (2,722 kg) of lifting capacity that does not cost you the room permanently. The Standard Package is the baseline configuration of that lift — the one to look at first, and the one the other M7K packages build from.
Will It Fit? Read This Before You Order
Three measurements decide whether an M7K works in your building.
Height. The columns stand 89.5 in. (2,273 mm) overall, with a column height of 64 in. (1,626 mm). That overall figure is what has to clear your ceiling, garage door track, opener rail and lighting — before you add the height of whatever you intend to raise. A low-ceiling garage is exactly the case this lift was drawn for, but it is still a number to hold a tape measure against.
Width. Typical width measured outside the base plates runs 105 in. to 135 in. (2,667 mm to 3,429 mm), and drive-thru clearance is 74 in. to 104 in. (1,880 mm to 2,642 mm). Both are ranges because the columns are positioned by you — which is the flexibility, and also the responsibility.
The floor. This lift anchors into concrete. The slab specification is the manufacturer's, it is stated in the installation manual, and our product data does not carry it — so we are not going to print a thickness or a strength figure we cannot evidence. Read the manual, or ask us and we will get the requirement confirmed. Verifying your own slab is the buyer's responsibility and it is not a formality: anchors are the only thing holding a loaded column upright.
On power, note a real gap in the published data. The motor is specified as 50-60 Hz, 1 Ph, 15 Amps — single phase, 15 amps — but the specification sheet gives no supply voltage. Ask us to confirm the voltage for your circuit before you order; that is not a detail to discover on installation day.
Confirm the Minimum Pad Height Before You Order
Low-profile arms are the reason this lift reaches under a sports car, and the number that decides it is minimum pad height. Published figures for it differ: the description on this page gives 4.5 in., describing arms that fit under most compact and sport vehicles; the M7K specification sheet gives 5.5 in. (139.7 mm). If that inch decides whether the arms slide under your car, contact us before you buy and we will have the current figure confirmed with MaxJax.
How It Lifts
Direct-drive technology does away with the lifting chains and screw mechanisms found in many two-post designs. Fewer wearing parts in the load path means less to adjust, less to lubricate and less to fail. A cast iron gear flow divider keeps the two cylinders equalised so the vehicle rises level rather than one corner leading.
Single-piece columns are used to add strength and reduce fatigue under heavy vehicles — a column formed in one piece has no joint to work loose over years of load cycles. Full-floating UHMW (ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene) load bearings act as slide blocks and are specified as maintenance-free for the life of the lift. Automatic arm restraints engage and disengage every time the lift is raised or lowered, so nobody has to remember to set them.
Perfect For
- Home garages with a ceiling problem, where a full-height two-post lift will not fit but a mid-rise will.
- Shared or multi-use spaces — the bay is a workshop on Saturday and parking on Sunday.
- Rented premises, where a permanent installation is not yours to make.
- Professional shops needing an extra lifting position that can be set up for a job and cleared afterwards.
What's in This Package
Here we have to be straight with you. MaxJax sells the M7K in several packages, and the product data we hold does not itemise what separates the Standard Package from the Deluxe, Supreme or Ultimate versions — the specification sheet is identical across all four. Rather than invent a contents list, we would rather you called: tell us the work you do and we will confirm exactly what is in the crate for each package before you spend the money. What is common to the lift itself is the two columns, the hydraulic power unit, the arms with automatic restraints and the quick-connect couplers. A motorcycle adapter kit is available as an option and turns the same lift into a bench for motorcycles, ATVs and similar.

Certification — What to Verify Before You Buy
Vehicle lifts are the one category where a third-party safety listing genuinely matters: no third-party lift safety listing is published for this lift in the documentation attached to this listing. A manufacturer's own declaration, however well engineered the product, is not the same document as an independent listing issued by a testing body. Some insurers, many fleet and dealership programmes, and some local jurisdictions require that independent listing before a lift may be used commercially. If any of those apply to you, verify the requirement before you buy — ask us and we will go to the manufacturer for whatever documentation exists, well before an inspector asks for it.
Shipping and Delivery
Lifts ship by freight within the lower 48 states, and the standard model crates at 980 lbs (444 kg) — plan for it. Freight is quoted live at checkout against your address rather than estimated. You must be able to receive and unload the shipment, or arrange to collect it from the carrier's terminal; the driver is not obliged to bring it inside, and 300 lbs (136 kg) per column is not a two-person carry from the street. Residential delivery is available and carries a residential fee. Inspect the crate before you sign. Note any damage, crushing or shortage on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery — a receipt signed clean makes a freight damage claim extremely hard to win.
Warranty
This lift is covered by the manufacturer's warranty; the terms that apply are set out on our warranty claims page. We have not printed a period here because the data we hold does not state one — ask us and we will confirm it for this package before you buy. If something goes wrong, contact us first and leave the equipment as it is: dismantling a lift or attempting a repair before a claim has been opened is the most common reason a valid claim gets refused.

Our Pick Up locations for Bendpak/Dannmar/Ranger are located in Santa Paula, California & Theodore, Alabama.
