Description
-MaxJax M7K Portable Car Lift — Deluxe Package
Ask what fails on a mid-rise lift and the answer is rarely the steel. It is the hydraulics, the slide surfaces and the mechanism that is supposed to keep two columns rising together. The M7K's most specific engineering answer is inside its cylinders: a one-piece, pilot-fitted machined steel piston, wrapped with pressure-loaded U-cup seals, backups and wear bands to virtually eliminate fluid bypass, riding on a micro-smooth chrome rod machined from high-yield, ground and polished C-1045/50 micro-alloy steel and plated to a minimum of .001 diametrically.
That is an unusual amount of detail for a lift in this class to publish, and it is checkable — which is exactly why it is worth leading with. A named steel grade and a stated plating thickness are commitments. A phrase like heavy-duty construction is not.
Lifting Two Columns as One
A portable two-post lift has a problem a bolted-down four-post does not: the two columns are independent, so nothing mechanical forces them to rise together. The M7K solves it hydraulically with a cast iron gear flow divider, specially designed to provide precisely equalised lifting. Flow in equals flow out on both sides, so the vehicle comes up level instead of one corner leading and the load walking across the arms.
Direct-drive technology removes the lifting chains and screw mechanisms common in other two-post designs. Chains stretch, need adjusting and eventually need replacing; screws need lubrication and collect grit. Taking them out of the load path is what buys the smooth operation and the low maintenance burden this lift is sold on.
The slide surfaces follow the same philosophy. Full-floating UHMW — ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene — load bearings are specified to last the life of the lift, which is a way of saying there is no greasing schedule to forget. Single-piece columns add strength and reduce fatigue under heavy vehicles, and automatic arm restraints engage or disengage on every raise and lower without anyone deciding to set them.
Capacity, and Where It Is Actually Limited
The headline is 7,000 lbs (2,722 kg). The number that matters more in practice is max load per arm: 1,750 lbs (794 kg). A vehicle with an offset centre of gravity — a pickup with a loaded bed, a van with a rear engine bay full of tooling — can be well inside the total rating while asking too much of one arm. Position the vehicle by the manufacturer's lift points, not by eye.
Fit and Reach
Overall height is 89.5 in. (2,273 mm), which is the figure to hold against your ceiling, door track and opener rail. Maximum lift height is 47.25 in. (1200.15 mm) at the top of the pad, or 50.5 in. (1,283 mm) using the 3 in. adapter. Seven locking positions spaced every 3 in. give you working heights rather than one, and a full rise takes about 45 seconds. Arm reach adjusts from 26 in. to 40 in.
Minimum pad height is the one specification we cannot give you a single answer for. This listing has stated 4.5 in. — low-profile arms that fit under most compact and sport vehicles — while the M7K specification sheet gives 5.5 in. (139.7 mm). We are not going to quietly publish whichever is more flattering. If that difference decides whether the arms reach under your car, call us before ordering and we will get it confirmed with the manufacturer.
Two more things the data does not settle, and we would rather say so. The motor is listed as 50-60 Hz, 1 Ph, 15 Amps with no supply voltage stated — confirm it against your circuit with us first. And the concrete requirement for anchoring lives in the installation manual, not in our product data, so we print no slab thickness or strength here. Checking the floor is the buyer's responsibility, and anchors are the only thing keeping a loaded column vertical.
Perfect For
- Owners who read spec sheets and want the cylinder and load-path detail on record before buying.
- Home workshops doing real mechanical work — suspension, exhaust, transmission — rather than occasional wheel-off jobs.
- Professional shops adding a flexible lifting position without surrendering a bay permanently.
- Restoration and specialist builders who need a car up and level for long periods.
What's in This Package
An honest limitation of our data: MaxJax lists the M7K in Standard, Deluxe, Supreme and Ultimate packages, and the specification data we hold is identical for all four — nothing in it itemises what the Deluxe adds. We will not make up a contents list for a purchase this size. Call or message us with the work you do and we will confirm precisely what ships in this package before you commit. The lift itself comprises two single-piece columns, the hydraulic power unit, arms with automatic restraints and quick-connect hydraulic couplers; an optional motorcycle adapter kit adapts it for motorcycles, ATVs and other motorised vehicles.

Certification — Said Plainly
A vehicle lift is not a shop fan, and buyers are right to ask about independent safety listing. So, plainly: our data for this lift records no third-party safety listing. A manufacturer declaring its own product compliant is a different thing from an independent testing body listing it, and the difference is not academic — insurers, dealership and fleet programmes, and some local jurisdictions require the independent listing before a lift is used commercially. If you are working under any of those, establish the requirement before you place an order and we will chase whatever documentation the manufacturer holds.
Shipping and Delivery
Freight only, within the lower 48 states, quoted live at checkout for your actual address. Two practical points for a lift: you must be able to unload it or take terminal pickup, because the carrier's driver is not obliged to bring it inside; and at 300 lbs (136 kg) per column, moving it from the kerb needs equipment or help arranged in advance. Residential delivery is available and carries a residential fee. Inspect before signing — write any damage or missing item onto the delivery receipt at the moment of delivery. Signing a clean receipt and finding a bent column afterwards leaves you with almost no claim.
Warranty
Covered by the manufacturer's warranty; the applicable terms are on our warranty claims page. No period is printed here because none appears in the data we hold — ask and we will confirm it for this package in writing. Should a fault appear, contact us before touching it: a lift that has been dismantled or repair-attempted before the claim is opened is the classic reason a good claim is refused.

Our Pick Up locations for Bendpak/Dannmar/Ranger are located in Santa Paula, California & Theodore, Alabama.
