Tuxedo M-2200IEH-XR: the ramp gets out of your way, and so do your hands

Almost every motorcycle bench in this class is bought and then quietly resented for the same two reasons. The approach ramp stays bolted to the back of the table, sitting exactly where you want to stand when you are working on a rear wheel. And releasing the safety latches means putting a hand or a boot into the mechanism while a bike is in the air. The M-2200IEH-XR is built around fixing both of those, and that is the honest reason to choose it over a cheaper bench with the same capacity number.

The approach ramp is retractable: it withdraws from the work space automatically as the table rises, so the full length of the bench is usable and there is nothing to trip over behind you. A spring-loaded drop-down panel is built into the table for rear-wheel access — it swings clear when you need the wheel exposed and clips back into place when you do not, rather than being a removable plate that ends up leaning against a wall. And the whole machine runs from a handheld control pendant, so raising, lowering and disengaging the safety latches are all done from outside the machine. That last point is a safety design decision, not a convenience feature.

Power is a 110V integrated electric/hydraulic unit — no separate air line, no compressor sizing exercise, no floor-mounted pump to work around. It lifts 2,200 lbs, which puts touring bikes, trikes, side-by-sides, quads and small utility machines inside its range, and it raises or lowers in about 30 seconds.

Will It Fit?

A bench like this is bought on floor space and reach, not ceiling height. Measure these before you order:

  • Floor length. Overall length with the ramp deployed is 116-1/2″ per the specification sheet. That is the number your bay has to clear during loading, not the table length.
  • Floor width. Overall width is 58.5″. Leave working room on both sides — this is a machine you walk around.
  • Table length. 88.6″, agreed by every source we hold.
  • Approach ramp. 27.5″ long and full width, so the approach angle is gentle enough for a low-slung machine.
  • Working height. The table sits at 7″ at its lowest and rises to 47.2″ at the top of its travel, across six locking positions. Pick the two or three heights you actually work at and check them against your own back and bench.
  • Power. 110V, 60Hz, single phase. A standard shop or garage circuit, but confirm the circuit is dedicated and in reach of where the bench will live.

Confirming the room, the doorway and the circuit is the buyer's responsibility. A bench that does not fit the space is not a warranty matter, and it is an expensive thing to move twice.

Why a retracting ramp changes the job

The reason this matters is not tidiness. On a fixed-ramp bench, the ramp occupies the position you need for rear-wheel work — brake calipers, chain and sprocket, shock linkage, tyre changes. You end up working at an angle, or lifting the ramp off and finding somewhere for it. Because the M-2200IEH-XR withdraws its ramp as the table climbs, the rear of the table is clear at every working height, and the ramp is never a separate object you have to store. Combined with the drop-down service panel, the back third of the bench becomes the part you use most rather than the part you fight.

The pendant, and why it is not a gadget

The most common way people get hurt around a bench lift is reaching into it under load — usually to free a latch that has taken up on a step. Running raise, lower and latch release from a handheld pendant means the operator is standing clear of the mechanism, in a position to see the whole machine, whenever it is moving. Tuxedo kept the pendant on this model rather than dropping it for a panel-mounted switch, and that is worth knowing when you are comparing feature lists that otherwise look identical.

One figure to confirm with us before you order

We would rather flag this than quietly pick a side. The usable table width is given two different ways in the data we hold for this machine — the feature list on this page and the stored specification sheet do not agree, and they are far enough apart to matter if you are planning around wheel chocks, a vise position or a wide side-by-side. Every other dimension above is consistent across our sources. If the table width is a deciding factor for you, ask us in writing before you buy and we will confirm it against the current factory sheet rather than guess. The same goes for the model designation: this bench is listed as the M-2200IEH-XR here, and the stored specification sheet for the same machine is headed A-2200IEH-XR.

Perfect For

  • Independent motorcycle and powersports shops doing tyre, brake and chain work all day, where the ramp being in the way is a tax paid on every job.
  • Home garages and serious enthusiasts with one or two bikes and a standard 110V circuit, who want a proper bench rather than a jack and a milk crate.
  • Powersports dealerships handling prep, PDI and service on mixed inventory, where a 2,200 lb table covers bikes, quads and small utility machines on one platform.
  • Rental and fleet operations that need repeatable, safe access rather than the last inch of lifting height.

What's in the Box

Only what the current product data actually lists as included: the lift bench with its 110V integrated electric/hydraulic power unit, the retractable full-width approach ramp, the spring-loaded drop-down service panel, the handheld control pendant, and a wheel stop. The vise and the chock are sold separately — the platform is designed to mount them, but they are not in the crate. If you want either, add them to the same order so they arrive together.

Certification, stated plainly

The data we hold for this bench makes no third-party safety-listing claim, and we are not going to imply one. A manufacturer's own declaration that a product meets a standard is not the same document as an independent third-party listing carried out by a testing body, and it is not a substitute for one. Some insurers, some fleet and dealership policies and some local jurisdictions require that independent listing for lifting equipment on a commercial floor. If that applies to you, confirm the requirement with your insurer or inspector, and ask us in writing what documentation ships with this machine, before you place the order.

Shipping and delivery

This bench ships as freight within the lower 48 states. Freight is quoted live at checkout, so what you see is the current rate for your address rather than a figure baked into this page. You need a way to get it off the truck — a forklift, a loading dock, or enough hands and equipment for a crated machine of this weight. If you have none of those, ask us about collecting it from the freight terminal instead. Delivery to a residential address carries a residential fee. Inspect the crate before you sign. Note any damage on the bill of lading in writing at the time of delivery — a signed-clear receipt makes a freight damage claim very hard to win afterwards. Warehouse pickup is also available; the pickup locations are listed further down this page.

Warranty

The warranty terms that apply to this machine are published on our warranty claims page. We have deliberately not printed a coverage period here, because the term is not stated in the product data we hold for this model and we will not put a number on it that we cannot source. Ask us in writing for the current terms before you buy if the coverage period is part of your decision. One warning that applies whatever the terms say: do not disassemble a component before a claim is opened. A stripped power unit or a dismantled cylinder is usually the end of the claim, however clear the original fault was. Photograph the fault, call us, and let the process start before the tools come out.
