-Supreme SP-11P 11,000 lb Four Post Lift
Here is the detail that decides how this lift lives in your building, and almost nobody mentions it: the power unit can be mounted on the driver's front column or on the passenger's rear column. That is a decision you make once, at installation, and cannot easily undo. It determines which side of the bay carries the controls, where the hydraulic line runs, which wall the electrical supply has to reach, and whether you walk around the vehicle every time you raise it. In a bay with a wall on one side, a workbench on the other and a door at one end, having two legitimate mounting positions is the difference between a lift that suits the room and a lift the room has to be rearranged for.
Everything else follows from that practicality. The SP-11P is a drive-on four-post lift rated at 11,000 lbs, doing two jobs: a service platform for undercar work, and a parking lift that lets you stack one vehicle over another and get a second car out of the same floor area.
What this lift is not
We will say this before the specifications rather than after. The SP-11P is not an alignment lift. It does not include turnplates and it does not include slip plates, and no accessory list on this page implies otherwise. Its runways are built for strength and rigidity under load, which is the right design for service and storage and the wrong design for alignment work, where the front wheels must be free to move and the rear axle needs slip plates to settle.
If alignment is part of your business, this is not the lift for that bay and we would rather tell you now than sell you a machine you will resent. If alignment is not part of your business, this omission costs you nothing at all.
Will it fit?
Four-post lifts fail to fit in length far more often than in height, so start there.
Length. The lift is 197.50" long without the approach ramps and 229.75" with them fitted. Both numbers matter: you need the longer figure to drive on, and you may be able to plan the shorter one into the permanent footprint if the ramp end sits toward the door.
Width and height. Overall width is 126". Overall height is 95", and the lift raises the vehicle to 84.25" at the top of the runway, with 78" of clearance under the runway. Measure your ceiling to the lowest obstruction — lights, door tracks, opener rails and heaters — and if you are stacking cars, add the height of the vehicle going on top to the 84.25" runway figure before you decide.
Vehicles. Runways are 182" long and 18" wide with 45.50" between them, and the drive-through width is 98.50". Lowered, the runways sit 6.25" off the floor, which is what keeps the approach angle gentle enough for lower vehicles.
Floor. A four-post lift spreads its load through four 12" x 12" base plates rather than concentrating it into two columns, which is why four-post lifts are more forgiving of an ordinary slab than two-post lifts are. Forgiving is not the same as exempt: the floor still needs to be level, sound and thick enough for the manufacturer's specification, and confirming that, and anchoring the lift correctly, is the buyer's responsibility. Level matters more than most buyers expect on a parking lift, because a lift that is out of level puts the load unevenly across the four locks.
The number our data disagrees about, and you must resolve it before wiring
Our records give two different supply voltages for this lift. The specification table records the motor as 4HP / 110VAC / 60HZ / 1PH — a 110V machine. The feature list on this page describes 220V. Those are not interchangeable, and wiring a motor for the wrong one is not a small mistake.
We are not going to guess which is correct, and neither should you. Contact us with your order and we will confirm the supply from the manufacturer's documentation and the unit itself before anything is installed. Do not have an electrician run a circuit for this lift on the basis of this page alone. Everything else in the motor specification — 4HP, 60Hz, single phase — is consistent across our sources.
Four locks that land together
The safety system on a four-post lift is the whole design. This one uses a synchronised locking arrangement so all four posts engage at the same height at the same time, rather than one corner catching before the others. Mechanical locks engage automatically as the lift rises and hold the load through steel, not through hydraulic pressure — which is what protects the vehicle if a hose or seal ever lets go. There are 10 locking positions up the columns, so you can park the lift at a genuinely comfortable working height instead of the nearest one that happens to exist.
Coming down, manual release levers mean the locks disengage only when someone deliberately does it. Full travel takes about 40 seconds, which is quick enough not to be an annoyance and slow enough to watch what is happening.
Drive-on, and why storage is a real use case
There are no arms to position and no lift points to find. You drive on, you stop, you raise. For a service platform that removes a minute of setup from every job and removes the risk of a badly placed arm pad entirely.
For storage it changes the arithmetic of the building. An 11,000 lbs rating with a stable four-post structure means the vehicle underneath is genuinely usable space rather than a spot you avoid — you park a daily driver under a project car and you get a second parking space out of a footprint you already own and heat. That is why this lift appears in home garages as often as in workshops.
Perfect for
- Home garages doubling their parking — the classic use, and the reason the 6.25" lowered height and gentle approach matter.
- Service shops needing a fast general-purpose bay for fluid changes, exhaust, brakes and inspections without arm setup.
- Dealerships and detailers storing inventory or finished vehicles vertically.
- Collectors keeping a project car off the floor for long periods on mechanical locks.
- Not for alignment work — see above.
Certification, stated honestly
This lift carries a European conformity marking, and our data records it as tested to 115% dynamic load and 150% static load. Those overload figures are meaningful and they are the substance behind the marking.
But be clear about what that marking is. It is a manufacturer's declaration of conformity against European directives. It is not a North American third-party lift safety listing, and it is not a substitute for one. The two documents are issued by different kinds of body under different rules. Some insurers, many fleet and municipal procurement policies, and some local jurisdictions specifically require the North American listing for a commercial installation. If any of those apply to you, verify the requirement before you buy — ask us and we will tell you exactly what documentation ships with this lift.
Shipping, delivery and installation
Freight only, to the lower 48 states, quoted live at checkout against your actual delivery address rather than estimated here. Shipping weight is 2,125 lbs, arriving as long runways, four columns and a pallet of hardware. You must be able to unload it yourself — a forklift with the reach and capacity for a 182" runway, a loading dock, or collection from the carrier's terminal, which is often the easiest route. Delivery to a residential address carries a residential fee, shown at checkout before you pay.
Inspect everything before signing the delivery receipt. Bent runway edges, damaged column ends, crushed cartons, cut banding and missing pallets all go on the receipt in writing at the time of delivery, with photographs while the driver is still there. Signing clean and calling later is how freight claims are lost.
Installation is a professional job: plumb the columns, level the runways to each other, set the cable tension so the four corners rise together, and load-test before the lift carries a customer's car.
Warranty
Warranty terms for this model are not stated in the specification we hold, so we are not going to print a term here rather than guess at one. Our warranty claims process is set out at mechanicsuperstore.com/pages/warranty-claims, and we will confirm the manufacturer's coverage for this lift on request before you order.
One thing that applies whatever the term: if a component fails, open the claim before you take it apart. A power unit, cylinder or lock assembly that arrives at the manufacturer already disassembled is routinely refused, no matter how correct the diagnosis was.
