Description
-QuickJack 6000ELX Super-Long Portable Car Lift
The 6000ELX is the long-frame machine in the QuickJack portable range, and the frame length is the entire reason to choose it. Each frame measures 86.75" (2,203 mm) end to end, which is what lets the lifting blocks sit far enough apart to reach the factory jack points on long-wheelbase sedans, wagons and big coupes. Rated capacity is 6,000 lbs (2,722 kg), and despite the length the pair still collapses to 3.5" (89 mm) so it can slide under the car it is about to raise.
This is a lift for someone who wants real undercar access without pouring concrete or giving up a bay permanently: the enthusiast with a longer car in a single-car garage, the mobile technician whose lift has to travel, the shop that wants spare frames for overflow work. It is not a replacement for a permanently installed post lift, and the certification section below says plainly where that line sits.
Will It Fit?
Two measurements decide whether this lift works with your car, and both are on the spec sheet rather than in the marketing.
Ground clearance. Each frame stands 3.5" (89 mm) tall fully lowered, and 4" (102 mm) once a 2" block is seated in the tray. Your vehicle needs at least that much room beneath the rocker for the frame to slide underneath. A lowered car may clear the bare frame but not the frame plus a block, which is worth checking before you buy rather than after.
Lift point spread. This is the distance between the front and rear lifting blocks, and on the 6000ELX it adjusts from 53" (1,346 mm) at its narrowest to 76" (1,930 mm) at its widest. Measure the distance between your vehicle's front and rear jack points and confirm it falls inside that window. That measurement is the customer's responsibility — no accessory closes a gap outside the range, and it is the one thing a portable lift genuinely cannot work around.
Floor and working height. Each frame is 12.5" (318 mm) wide, so the pair needs two clear strips either side of the car rather than a full bay. Lifting height runs to 24.5" (622 mm) at maximum, with intermediate settings of 21.5" (546 mm) on a 2" block and 22.5" (572 mm) on a 3" block; fitting the adapters gives 24.25" (610 mm), and adapters with the pin reach 27" (686 mm). Read those as seated or creeper working height, not a walk-under height. The electrical requirement for the power unit is stated in the owner's manual linked on this page — check it against the circuit you intend to use before delivery day.
Why frame length is the real feature
Portable scissor frames lift at two points per side, and where those points land is limited by frame length. A short frame forces both blocks toward the middle of a long car, which either misses the reinforced jack points or loads the sills closer together than the manufacturer intended. The 86.75" (2,203 mm) frame pushes the usable spread out to 76" (1,930 mm), so the blocks can sit on a long car's designed lift points instead of the nearest convenient bit of sill. That is a fitment advantage rather than a capacity one — and fitment is what usually decides whether a portable lift is usable on your car.
Locks that engage on the way up, and a divider that keeps the car level
Two listed features are worth explaining rather than listing. The automatic safety locks engage as the frames rise, so the load is carried mechanically at the lock position rather than resting on hydraulic pressure while you work underneath. The built-in hydraulic flow divider is the subtler one. Two independent cylinders fed from a single pump will not rise at the same rate on their own — the lighter-loaded side goes first. The divider splits flow between the frames so they climb together, keeping the car level instead of leaning toward the light end. On a front-heavy or unevenly loaded car, that is the difference between a controlled lift and one you stop halfway to reposition. Operation is a one-touch button control, and full rise takes about 30 seconds.
Portability is a weight figure, not an adjective
Each frame weighs 112 lbs (51 kg) and the power unit weighs 30 lbs (13 kg). Those figures decide whether one person can reposition the lift or whether it quietly becomes a fixture. A 112 lb frame is a two-handed lift for most people and an easy drag on a hand truck; the power unit is genuinely carryable. Stored on edge against a wall, the pair takes far less room than the bay a post lift permanently occupies.
Perfect For
- The home garage with a long car. The 76" (1,930 mm) maximum spread is the reason this model exists rather than a shorter one.
- Mobile and track-day service. Frames at 112 lbs (51 kg) each load into a van or trailer without a tail lift.
- Professional shops needing overflow capacity. A spare set of frames turns any clear floor into a temporary bay.
- Detailers and restorers. Full open access underneath, with nothing in the way of the sills.
What's in the Box
Our product data describes the lift as a pair of frames plus a power unit: frame and shipping dimensions are both quoted per frame, and the power unit is weighed separately at 30 lbs (13 kg). The listed features supplied with the system are the automatic safety locks, the extended lift point spread, the one-touch button control and the built-in hydraulic flow divider. We have not listed adapters, blocks or accessories as included, because our data does not say which are in the carton — ask us before ordering if a specific accessory matters to your car.

Certification, stated honestly
Our product data for the 6000ELX records no third-party safety listing, and we are not going to imply one. Some insurers, fleet policies and local authorities require a vehicle lift used commercially to carry a recognised North American third-party lift safety listing — a document issued by an independent body after testing, which is not the same thing as a manufacturer's own statement of conformity. If your insurance, fleet policy or local inspector imposes that requirement, confirm it against this model before you buy rather than after it arrives. In a private home garage the question usually does not arise, but it is your call to make with the facts in front of you.
Shipping and Delivery
This lift ships as freight within the lower 48 states, quoted live at checkout from your delivery address rather than estimated on the page. You need to be able to unload the shipment yourself or collect it from the carrier's terminal; delivery to a residential address carries a residential fee, shown at checkout when it applies. Inspect the shipment before signing and note any damage on the bill of lading at the point of delivery — a signature on a clean bill is very hard to reopen later, and photographs taken before the driver leaves are worth the two minutes.
Warranty
Our product data does not state a warranty term for this model, so we are not quoting one; current terms are on our warranty claims page. One warning applies to every hydraulic lift regardless of brand: do not disassemble a cylinder, power unit or lock assembly before a claim has been opened and assessed. Stripping a component is routinely treated as evidence the fault cannot be verified, and it can end a valid claim. Photograph the problem, leave the parts as they are, and contact us first.
