GrandPrix GP-10C Clearfloor Two-Post Lift — 10,000 lb Capacity
Most two-post lift listings lead with the capacity. The more useful number on the GP-10C is the one at the bottom of each column: an oversized 20.5" x 15.5" base plate, drilled for the ten concrete wedge anchors that ship in the box. On an overhead clearfloor lift every pound of the load, plus the overturning moment of a vehicle held out on four arms, arrives at the slab through those two plates. A bigger plate spreads that load across more anchors and more concrete, which is the difference between a lift that stays plumb for a decade and one that starts working its anchors loose.
Above the plate, a 6" x 6" tubular steel carriage rides on self-lubricating UHMW polyethylene guide blocks, and the whole thing is covered by a 36-month limited warranty. That is the machine in one sentence: a conventional, well-understood clearfloor layout with the load path built heavier than it needs to be.
What clearfloor actually changes about your day
Clearfloor means the equalization runs through an overhead beam rather than a plate across the floor between the columns. There is nothing to step over, nothing to trip on, nothing to sweep around, and a transmission jack or an oil drain rolls from one side of the bay to the other without lifting a wheel over a bar. Exhaust and driveline work happen over an unbroken floor.
The trade is height. The overhead beam is the top of the lift and it has to clear the vehicle, so a clearfloor lift needs a taller building than a floorplate one — see the measurements below before you order. That is the one decision this lift asks you to make properly.
Arms that reach both ways
The GP-10C takes both symmetric and asymmetric positioning, which is not marketing filler: symmetric splits the vehicle evenly for a truck or a van, asymmetric sets the vehicle back so the doors clear the columns on a car. Being able to choose per vehicle is what makes one lift work for a mixed bay.
The front arms are triple-telescoping and reach from 22.5" (571 mm) out to 43.25" (1,099 mm). The rears are dual-stage and extend from 33.5" (845 mm) to 53.25" (1,353 mm). That spread is what lets one lift take a short-wheelbase car and a full-size pickup without a set of adapters for each. Automatic arm restraints lock the arms the moment the lift is raised, so an arm cannot swing out from under a pad while someone is working; the double-telescoping screw pads adjust through 2" (51 mm) of height so all four pads meet their lift points on a vehicle that does not sit level.
Lifting is done by dual direct-drive low-pressure hydraulic cylinders working together, and mechanical safety locks engage in each column every 3 inches of travel. Low-pressure cylinders with a larger bore run at lower seal stress than a high-pressure design of the same capacity. The padded overhead safety shutoff bar stops the lift if a roof, a raised bed or a roof rack reaches it first.

Check these against your building before you buy. This is the part customers most often get wrong, and a lift that does not fit is an expensive thing to discover on delivery day.

Power. The power unit runs on 220 VAC, 60 Hz, single phase (1 Ph). That is a dedicated circuit, and it needs to be in place and inspected before installation day, not after.
Concrete. A two-post lift is only as good as the slab it is anchored to. The concrete thickness and strength this lift requires are specified in the installation manual, and meeting them — along with the electrical supply, the permit if your jurisdiction needs one, and the installation itself — is the customer's responsibility. Ask us for the manual before you buy if you are unsure about your floor. Anchoring a lift into a thin or cracked slab is the single most common serious mistake made with this kind of equipment.

The per-arm figure is the one people forget. A vehicle with an unusual weight distribution can exceed 2,500 lbs (1,134 kg) on a single arm well before the total reaches capacity, and the arm is what fails first.
One figure to confirm with us
Our data carries the manufacturer's rise as 70" (1,778 mm), measured under the arms, and separately records a lifting height at the top of the pad of 72" and 74". Those are differently labelled measurements from different sources and we are not going to pick one and present it as the lifting height. If your working height is critical — a tall technician, a low ceiling, a specific job — ask us and we will confirm the figure you need against the factory drawing before you order.
Certification, honestly
We would rather be straight about this than let a badge be assumed. Our product record for the GP-10C does not carry a third-party lift safety listing, and we are not going to describe it as though it does. Some insurers, some fleet and dealership policies, and some local jurisdictions require that a lift installed on their premises carries a specific independent listing. If that applies to you, establish exactly what your policy or your inspector requires and ask us to confirm it for this model in writing before you place the order. It is a five-minute question now and a very expensive one after a lift is anchored to your floor.
Shipping and delivery
The GP-10C ships as freight within the lower 48 states, and the freight cost is quoted live at checkout for your own address rather than printed here, because freight rates move and a stale number on a page turns into a dispute later. Residential delivery carries a fee.
You will need to get roughly three quarters of a ton off the back of a truck: a forklift, a dock, or a collection from the carrier's terminal. Before the driver leaves, walk the shipment — columns, beam, arms, power unit — and if anything is bent, scraped or missing, write it on the delivery paperwork before you sign. That written note is what makes a freight claim work.
Warranty
The GP-10C carries a 36-month limited warranty. If something goes wrong, contact us before anything is disassembled — a cylinder, a power unit or a carriage that has already been opened is much harder to claim on, and the first question asked is always whether the part was still as-supplied when the fault appeared.
