Description
-Challenger Lifts AR4115EAX: full capacity, smallest footprint in the AR4115 line
The four AR4115 configurations all lift 15,000 lbs and all rise 78". What separates them is how much of your building they take, and the AR4115EAX is the one that takes the least: 247.625" overall on a published minimum recommended bay of 14' x 24', with the closed-front structure.
Nothing has been traded away to get there except length. The runways are still 26" wide, there are still 17 locking positions, and the four-wheel alignment window still runs from 68" to 158". If the vehicles coming through your door are cars, crossovers and light trucks rather than long-wheelbase pickups, this is the configuration that gives you the whole capability in the smallest bay.
What the enclosed front actually buys you
A closed-front rack ties the two front columns together with a crossbeam, and Challenger encloses that front column and crossbeam rather than leaving the structure and hardware on show. Three things follow, and only one of them is about appearance.
The structural point is rigidity: a tied front end resists the racking loads a four-post sees when a heavy vehicle is positioned off-centre, which is why this sheet quotes a single inside-column dimension of 125.5" and a single column height of 98" for both ends rather than separate front and rear figures.
The maintenance point is that enclosed sections do not collect the debris that open channels do — and in a bay where wheels come off and brake dust goes everywhere, that is a genuine saving in cleaning rather than a marketing line. The appearance point is real too, though: if customers walk through your workshop, an enclosed column reads as a finished installation rather than an exposed mechanism.
Will It Fit?
This is the section that decides whether the EAX is the right AR4115 for you, so take it in order.
- Bay. 14' x 24' minimum recommended.
- Overall. 247.625" long, 142" wide.
- Between columns. 196".
- Inside columns. 125.5", front and rear.
- Column height. 98" — measure your ceiling against this plus the vehicle you intend to raise, not against the rise alone.
- Runways. 26" wide, 7" tall, set 40.625" apart.
- Rise. 78", in around 85 seconds.
- Wheelbase. Up to 183". Two-wheel alignment to 167.75"; four-wheel from 68" to 158".
- Services. A 2HP motor on 208V-230V, 60Hz, 1Ph, and shop air at 90 to 120 psi.
The one thing this data does not contain is the concrete specification — thickness and compressive strength — and that is not a gap we are prepared to fill with a guess. Ask us for the installation drawing and have the slab checked against it. Confirming the floor, the ceiling and the electrical supply before the lift is delivered is the buyer's responsibility, and it is by far the least costly moment to discover a problem.
Perfect For
- Small and mid-size workshops where 24' of bay length is what exists and the longer racks in the family will not go in.
- Tyre and suspension shops working on cars and light trucks within a 183" wheelbase.
- Retrofits into existing buildings, where every inch of length has to be argued for.
- Shops running imaging alignment equipment, which this rack is stated to be compatible with.
What ships with it
The rack: columns, 26" runways, lifting and locking hardware, power unit and louvered approach ramps.
Optional, and not in this listing: the alignment kit, described by the manufacturer as rolling jacks, an internal airline system and stainless steel turn plates. Worth knowing before you plan a corrosion strategy — this configuration's sheet lists the galvanized upgrade as not applicable, unlike the open-front models in the family. If a galvanized deck matters to you, raise it with us before the order goes in.

Certification, plainly
The specification sheet for this model records ALI/ETL certification. It is worth being precise about what that is for: a third-party lift safety listing is what gets named in an insurance schedule, a fleet safety policy or a local inspection requirement, and a lift that carries one satisfies that clause without further correspondence.
Your requirement is still yours to state. Send us the wording you have to meet and we will check it against current documentation for this configuration before you place the order.
Shipping and delivery
Freight delivery covers the lower 48 states, and the cost is quoted live at checkout for your own address — which is why no shipping figure appears in this description, where it would quietly go out of date.
Work out the unload before the shipment is booked. Freight is delivered to the kerb and taking it off the trailer is the receiver's responsibility, so either a forklift or telehandler rated for the crate needs to be waiting, or you arrange collection from the carrier's local terminal — often the easier route for a shop without its own handling equipment. Warehouse pickup is offered on this listing as well. A residential delivery address carries a residential fee, which is applied at checkout when that option is chosen.
Check the freight before signing for it. Count the crates against the packing list, walk the load with the driver, and note anything at all on the bill of lading — scuffed paint, split banding, a corner that has taken a knock. Once a clean bill of lading is signed the carrier's exposure ends, and a claim opened the next day rarely goes anywhere.
Warranty
Warranty on this lift is handled by Challenger. The specification data behind this listing records a warranty reference rather than a stated duration, and we are not going to print a term we cannot verify. Ask us and we will confirm the terms currently applying to your configuration, or read our warranty claims page.
Whatever the term proves to be, one rule saves claims: leave the failed part alone. A power unit or cylinder that has already been opened is very hard for anyone to adjudicate, and disassembly is the single most common reason a covered failure turns into an argument. Photograph it in place and call us first.
