Description
-BendPak LR-60P Portable Low-Rise Lift
The letter that matters here is the P. The LR-60P is the low-rise scissor lift built to be moved — high-density UHMW rollers under the frames mean one person can reposition the whole lift, so a bay that is a wheel-service station this morning is clear floor this afternoon. Everything else is the LR-60 you already know: multi-position safety locks, solid rubber lifting blocks, a dropped crossbar and a heavy-duty steel channel frame.
Why UHMW rollers, and not casters
Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene is the material the food and materials-handling industries reach for when something has to slide under load for years without attention. It is dense, extremely abrasion-resistant and self-lubricating, which is the property that matters on a shop floor: the rollers do not need greasing, they do not pick up swarf the way a soft wheel does, and they should not wear out or need replacing over the life of the lift.
The practical consequence is the one that changes how you work. A lift that takes two people and a plan to move is a lift that never moves; a lift one technician can shift alone gets moved whenever the job calls for it. If you run more bays than lifts, or you are working out of a garage where the same floor has to be a workshop and a parking space, that is the entire argument for this model over the fixed version.
Will it fit?
Power. The power system is electric/hydraulic on a 110 VAC, 50-60 Hz, single-phase supply. That is an ordinary household-style circuit rather than a three-phase industrial feed, which is a large part of why this lift turns up in home garages as often as in shops. There is no compressed-air requirement.
Floor space and length. Overall length is 82" (2,083 mm), with a pad length of 53" (1,346 mm) and lift pads measuring 18" x 52" (457 mm x 1,320 mm). It is a small-footprint machine, but the footprint is not the whole story on a portable lift — leave yourself the room to roll it to wherever it is going.
Height, and one number the sources disagree on. BendPak's product copy says the lift collapses to just 4" high, and its specification sheet gives a lowered height of 4" (102 mm) in one row and a fully-lowered figure of 3.5" (89 mm) in another. Those two rows do not agree, and rather than pick the flattering one we are showing you both — if your vehicle's clearance is close enough for the half-inch to decide the purchase, ask us and we will confirm it with the manufacturer before you order. Either way this is a genuinely low-profile frame that low-stance vehicles clear.
Working height. Lifting height is 23" (584 mm) at the pads. Add the 1.5" blocks and you are at 24.5" (622 mm); with the optional 3" blocks, 26" (661 mm). Full rise of the mechanism is 25" (635 mm), and the safety locks engage at 14.75" (375 mm), 20.25" (514 mm) and 23.75" (603 mm).
Capacity, read properly. 6,000 lbs (2,724 kg) total, with a maximum of 3,000 lbs (1,361 kg) on the front axle and 3,000 lbs (1,361 kg) on the rear. Both numbers matter: a vehicle within the total but heavily nose-biased can be outside the axle figure. Checking your own vehicle's axle weights, your floor and your circuit before ordering is the buyer's responsibility, and we would far rather answer a question first than process a return afterwards.
Single-point safety release
One button on the control panel releases the dual locks on both frames together. Two things follow from that. The operator is standing away from the lift during descent rather than reaching in among moving steel, and there is no sequence to get right — releasing one frame while the other stays locked is a class of mistake this design simply does not offer.
The dropped crossbar
The crossbar between the frames is dropped at the centre. It is a small piece of geometry that does two jobs at once: it adds drive-over clearance so a low car gets onto the frames without scraping, and it braces the structure so the frames stay square under an off-centre load. The centre section of each frame rises to engage the vehicle's factory jacking points, which is what makes wheel and suspension work straightforward rather than a matter of improvising a lift point.
Cylinder and blocks
The single hydraulic cylinder is built around a one-piece, pilot-fitted machined steel piston, wrapped with pressure-loaded U-cup seals plus backups and wear bands. In plain terms: it is designed so that fluid does not creep past the piston, which is the failure mode that shows up as a lift that quietly settles overnight. The lifting blocks are solid hard rubber rather than thin pads — thin pads tear up and start marking customers' vehicles, and replacing them becomes a running cost.
Perfect for
- Multi-bay shops that need wheel-service capability in whichever bay is free, not in one fixed spot.
- Tyre, brake and body work on passenger cars and light trucks, at a comfortable working height.
- Home and hobby garages where the lift has to be stowed against a wall when the car goes back in.
- Detailers and mobile-adjacent operators who need the lift where the vehicle is.

Certification and compliance, stated plainly
The product data we hold for the LR-60P claims no third-party safety listing, and we do not claim one on its behalf. Some insurers, fleet policies and local jurisdictions require equipment that carries a North American third-party safety listing — an independent test-house listing, which is a different document from a manufacturer's own declaration of conformity. If that requirement applies to you, check what your paperwork actually asks for before you buy. We are happy to help you match the requirement to a product.
Shipping and delivery
The LR-60P ships as freight within the lower 48 states. Freight is not parcel delivery: the truck brings it to the kerb or the dock and the receiving end is yours, so have a forklift, a dock and pallet jack, or arrange to collect from the carrier's terminal. Delivery to a residential address is a different service from a commercial dock and carries a residential fee — the checkout quotes it live rather than baking a stale number into this page.
Inspect before you sign. Look over the crate, the frames and the power unit, and record any damage on the bill of lading while the driver is still there. Signing a clean bill of lading is the carrier's evidence that everything arrived undamaged.
Warranty
BendPak's own copy for this lift states a five-year standard warranty. Take the manufacturer's published warranty document as the governing text rather than any summary — ask us and we will send you the current version before you order. And one condition that applies whatever the term says: do not strip down the power unit, the cylinder or the lock assembly before a claim is raised. A unit that has already been opened is usually outside the warranty by the time anyone assesses it, and the fault is exactly what needs to arrive intact.
