Atlas PROJACK35 Sliding Bridge Heavy Duty Jack

Almost every rolling bridge jack sold for a four-post lift runs on shop air. The PROJACK35 does not. It is raised by a manual hydraulic hand pump - a porta-power style pump you work by hand - which means it will do its job in a garage with no compressor, no air line and no outlet anywhere near the lift. For the home four-post owner, that is frequently the difference between owning a bridge jack and not owning one, and it is the reason this model exists alongside the air-operated jacks in the same range.

What it is for

A four-post lift supports a vehicle on its tires. That is enough for storage, for fluid changes and for exhaust work, and it is no use at all when a wheel has to come off. The PROJACK35 slides across the runways, telescopes its arms out over them, and lifts the vehicle off the lift by its designated lifting points - the ones the manufacturer put on the pinch welds and the frame, most of which sit outside the runways where a jack tray cannot reach. Rated capacity is 3,500 lbs., which is a wheel-service rating: you are raising one end of a vehicle already supported by the lift, not the whole vehicle.

Better than the jack tray your lift came with

Most hobbyist four-post lifts include a jack tray, and a tray plus a small floor jack will only ever support the lifting points that happen to fall between the runways. That constraint decides which jobs you can do. Telescoping arms remove it, and the arms are individually adjustable in width and reach, so awkward lifting points on an unfamiliar vehicle are a matter of setting the arms rather than of improvising with blocks. The scissor mechanism underneath raises the pads level rather than in an arc, and multiple mechanical safety lock positions take the load off the hydraulics once the vehicle is up - engage them every time, exactly as you would put stands under a car raised on a floor jack.

Which lifts it fits

The frame adjusts from a minimum width of 29 1/2" (2' 5 1/2") to a maximum of 64 3/4" (5' 4 3/4"), which covers the great majority of hobbyist and light commercial four-post lifts. Atlas designed it around the Garage PRO8000 and the rest of the Garage Pro range, and it is also used on the APEX8 and APEX9 - which Atlas lists as ALI Certified lifts - and on the Premium 408SL and 409HP. Measure your own runway spread before ordering and, if you are unsure, send us your lift model and we will check it rather than let you find out on delivery day. Note that the minimum height with the lift pad above the runway, given as 3 1/2", varies by lift, because it depends on the runway section your jack has to clear.

Height, and the adapters that add it

Without adapters the pads rise to 11" above the arms; the lift pad itself stands 1 3/8" above the arm. Fit the included four-piece truck adapter set - two each at 1.5" and 5" - and maximum raised height becomes 17 1/4", which is what a pickup or an SUV with a high frame needs before its wheels leave the runway. Adapter pegs and the arm holes are a 1.5" fit throughout.

Will it fit your shop?

No air supply, no electrical connection, no installation. The requirements are your four-post lift, the runway spread above, floor clearance to roll the unit into position, and somewhere to store it when it is not in use. The trade-off for needing no services is effort: a hand pump means pumping, and raising a heavy vehicle takes a series of strokes rather than a foot on a pedal. If you lift twenty vehicles a day, buy air. If you lift your own car most weekends, the hand pump will never once be the reason you did not do the job. Confirming your lift compatibility and your delivery access is the customer's responsibility.

Perfect For

  • Home garages with no compressor - the case this jack was designed around.
  • Owners of hobbyist four-post lifts who bought for storage and now want to do brakes and suspension.
  • Collectors rotating tires and servicing brakes on stored vehicles without unloading the lift.
  • Mobile and secondary bays where running an air line to the lift is not practical.

Certification, stated honestly

Two of the lifts named above carry a third-party safety listing. This jack is an accessory that rides on such a lift, and our product data records no separate listing of its own - so do not read the lift's status as covering the jack, and do not read our silence as a claim either way. Where it matters is a commercial shop working under an insurance policy, a fleet contract or a local inspection regime that specifies listed lifting equipment, since those requirements are often written to cover a lift together with the accessories used on it. Get the wording from whoever is imposing it and speak to us before you order.

Shipping and Delivery

Freight only, within the lower 48 states, at a shipping weight of 350 lbs. It is heavy for its size, so you will want a forklift or a dock - or take terminal pickup, or collect from one of the Atlas warehouse locations listed further down this page. Residential delivery is available and carries a fee. The freight cost is quoted live during checkout rather than printed here, because carrier pricing moves and a stale figure helps nobody.

Inspect the crate with the driver present. Check the piece count, look over the arms, the pump and the pads for impact damage, and write anything you find onto the bill of lading before signing. A clean signature is treated as your agreement that it arrived intact.

Warranty

Coverage is 1 Year Parts Only. Covered components are supplied; the labor to fit them is not included.

If the pump or the cylinder misbehaves, call us before you open anything. A hydraulic assembly that has already been dismantled cannot be assessed, and that step alone turns more good claims into arguments than the original faults do. Photograph the problem, leave the unit intact, and get in touch.
