AMGO MC-1200 Motorcycle & ATV Lift
The MC-1200 is a 1,200 lbs powersports lift with one feature almost nobody in this category publishes: its power unit is ETL certified. That is an independent testing house's listing of the electrical unit, not a manufacturer's own say-so, and on a machine that lives in a wash-down bay and gets switched on twenty times a day it is the part of the specification a shop owner and an insurer will both care about. It sits on its own stand rather than being bolted to a wall, so the lift arrives as one complete, movable machine.
Around that sits an electric-hydraulic lift running on 1.0HP, 110V/60Hz single-phase power — an ordinary shop supply, not a three-phase installation — with an adjustable wheel vise that suits a range of motorcycles and a non-skid diamond platform. Add the optional length and width extension kits and the same platform takes ATVs, mowers and snowmobiles, which is what turns a motorcycle lift into a powersports lift.
The safety device is patented, and it is worth understanding why
AMGO's lock arrangement activates automatically as the platform rises and is released by hand. The distinction matters in practice: an automatic lock is engaged whether or not a technician remembers to set it, so the failure mode of a busy day is a lift that is locked rather than a lift resting on hydraulic pressure. Manual release means it does not disengage until someone decides it should. On a lift holding a motorcycle at chest height with a wheel out, that is the difference between a stable bench and a very expensive mistake.
The hydraulic cylinder is built to the manufacturer's own high standard with top-quality oil seals — seals being the component that actually determines whether a lift still holds height in year five, and the one place a cheap lift saves money invisibly.
Will It Fit?
This is a floor-space and access question rather than a ceiling one:
- Runway length: 88 9/16", with an overall length including the loading ramp of 106 5/16". The ramp length is the number people forget, and it is the one that decides whether the bay door still closes.
- Loading height: the platform drops to 6 1/8", so a bike is ridden or pushed up the ramp rather than lifted.
- Working height: lifting height 42 15/16", with a maximum lock height of 40 7/8". Note the difference between the two: the lift rises slightly higher than the top lock so it can be set down onto steel, which is exactly how it should be used.
- Cycle time: 23 seconds to full height.
- Power: 1.0HP, 110V/60Hz, single phase. Confirm the circuit with an electrician before delivery day.
- Weight: 593 lbs — plan how it gets from the truck to its position.
Measuring the space, checking the floor and confirming the electrical supply are the buyer's responsibility. If you want a second pair of eyes on the numbers against your own bay, send us the dimensions before you order.
One platform, several machines
The wheel vise adjusts to fit various motorcycles, which is the difference between a lift that holds a sport bike and a lift that holds whatever came in this morning. Optional width and length extension kits widen and lengthen the working surface for ATVs, mowers and snowmobiles, and there are optional tie kits and a lifting jack available on top of that. Two practical points follow: a shop that services more than motorcycles should budget for the extensions up front, and a lift bought for bikes alone is not stuck as a bike-only machine later.
The platform itself is non-skid diamond plate. On a lift where the technician is often standing beside a wheeled machine that wants to roll, surface grip is a working feature rather than a finish. A removable rear tire cover plate comes as standard, which is what makes rear wheel and tire work possible without dropping the bike back to the floor, and a tool tray is included so the tools in use are at platform height instead of on the floor behind you.
Perfect For
- Motorcycle dealerships and service departments doing repeat tire, brake and service work all day.
- Powersports shops that see ATVs, mowers and snowmobiles as well as bikes, and will run the extension kits.
- Independent bike shops that need a single lift to cover a wide mix of machines.
- Serious home garages where the alternative is a bike on a paddock stand and a lot of kneeling.
- Any bay on ordinary single-phase power, since no three-phase supply is involved.
What's in the Box
The lift and platform, the ETL certified power unit with its power unit stand, the adjustable wheel vise, a removable rear tire cover plate and a tool tray. The length and width extension kits, tie kits and lifting jack are options, not inclusions — if your quote needs to include them, say so when you order and we will price them together rather than leaving you to discover the gap on delivery day.

Certification, stated plainly
The claim we make is the one the manufacturer makes: the power unit is ETL certified. That is a listing of the electrical assembly by an independent testing body. It is not a statement about the lift structure as a whole, and we are not going to let it imply one. If your insurer, your fleet policy or your local authority requires a specific structural listing for a powersports lift, ask us before you order and we will establish exactly what documentation exists for this model rather than let a certified power unit stand in for something it does not cover.
Shipping and Delivery
The MC-1200 ships as freight to the lower 48, with the cost quoted live against your address during checkout rather than estimated up front. You will need to unload it — a forklift, a dock, or collection from one of our warehouses — and a delivery to a residential address carries a residential fee.
Inspect it before you sign. Ramp and platform damage is easy to miss under packaging, so open the shipment while the driver is present, photograph anything you find and write it onto the bill of lading there and then. That written note is the foundation of any freight claim; a clean signature is very hard to walk back.
Warranty
Warranty for this lift is handled through our warranty claims page, and we will send you the current document before you buy if the terms affect your decision. If a power unit, cylinder or lock assembly fails, photograph it in position and contact us before anything is disassembled — once a part has been taken apart it is generally treated as modified, and a clean claim becomes a negotiation.
