Hofmann geoliner 660: the imaging aligner a general technician can run
The limiting factor on alignment work in most workshops is not the equipment, it is who can be trusted to use it. An aligner that only one technician understands becomes a bottleneck the moment that technician is on holiday, and a machine that sits idle is worse than a machine you never bought. The geoliner 660 is built against that problem: it pairs the same XD target and camera hardware used across the imaging range with the simplest software in the family, so a competent general technician can produce an accurate alignment without a week of training behind them.
That is a deliberate positioning rather than a compromise. The measuring hardware is not the part that has been simplified — the interface is.
Will it fit, and what will it measure?
The electrical requirement is the easy one: 115 VAC 1Ph 50/60 Hz, a standard single-phase supply with no service upgrade behind it. The vehicle envelope is set by the measuring ranges.

Nothing in our data publishes a cabinet footprint, a machine weight or a ceiling requirement, so those measurements are yours to take: the parking position, the route to it, and the working space around the rack.
Cameras that grade their own errors
The XD cameras and the monitoring behind them are the reason the simple software can be trusted. The system watches for the things that quietly corrupt an alignment — suspension stress and damage, a rack that is not right, a clamp that has moved, the bay environment itself — and sorts what it finds into three outcomes. Small errors are compensated with no interruption at all. Errors that were compensated but that the operator ought to know about produce a warning. A fault that would produce a genuinely bad alignment produces an alert and stops the job.
For a shop staffing alignment with general technicians, that grading is the whole safety net. The machine does not simply produce numbers and leave the operator to judge whether to believe them; it says when they should not be believed.
EZ-TOE, and the end of the steering wheel holder
The patented EZ-TOE function lets the technician turn the front wheels to reach an awkward adjustment point while the display continues to show centred toe readings. In practical terms it removes the steering wheel holder from the process. Anyone who has fought a holder while trying to reach a tie rod on a modern subframe understands why that is on the feature list, and the payoff is a straight steering wheel on delivery without a second attempt.
Measurements beyond toe and camber
The 660 also produces the dimensional readings that identify a problem the alignment itself cannot fix: vehicle track width and wheel base, individual wheel side set and set-back. Those are the numbers that tell you a vehicle has been in an accident, or that a component is bent, before a technician spends an hour adjusting something that will never come into specification. Manual ride height measurement is available for the vehicles whose published specifications depend on it, and guided adjustment routines walk the operator through single tie rod, drag link and cradle corrections.

Certification and compliance, stated honestly
The product data we hold for this aligner does not list a third-party safety certification, and we are not going to imply one. That is a statement about our records rather than a claim about the machine: a manufacturer's own declaration of conformity is a different document from an independent listing issued by a testing body, and only the second is what an insurer, a dealership programme or a local inspector normally asks to see.
If your work is tied to a manufacturer's certified alignment programme, or your insurer specifies listed equipment, ask us before ordering and we will chase the documentation from the manufacturer rather than guess at it. Electrical installation is a separate question again, and it is governed by your local code and your electrician, not by us.
Delivery, installation and site access
This machine ships as freight, not as a parcel, and it travels crated on a pallet. Delivery, setup and instruction arrangements for Hofmann equipment are set out in the Pick Up and Delivery section further down this page, and warehouse collection is offered on much of this range — tell us at the time of order which you want, because the two are booked differently. Shipping is to addresses in the contiguous United States.
Three things are the buyer's responsibility whichever route you choose. Measure the path from the delivery point to the working position, including door widths and any turn a crated machine has to make. If the delivery address is a home rather than a commercial address, say so before you order — residential delivery is arranged differently and a residential fee applies. And inspect the crate before you sign: note any damage, crushed corner or shifted strapping on the delivery receipt at the moment of delivery, and photograph it. A signed clean receipt makes a damage claim very difficult to pursue afterwards, and that is the single most common way a buyer ends up out of pocket on freight equipment.
Warranty
Warranty terms for this machine are published on our warranty claims page rather than quoted here, so that what you read is the current policy rather than a figure copied into a description and left to go stale. One practical warning that applies to every powered machine we sell: if something fails, contact us before disassembling the unit or attempting an internal repair. Stripping an assembly down before the claim is raised routinely voids the cover, and it also destroys the evidence the manufacturer needs to see.
